Yandere Harry Potter AU
Harry Potter Yandere Covens AU
Note: Just an Au I've been playing with and wanting to build. This is my first time posting any of my writing, so I'm nervous!
Basic Info: In this Au, there is no Voldemort or Wizard War. The biggest change is the concept of covens. Covens comprise Coven heads (darlings) and Coven members (yanderes). All coven members are seen by wizarding society as lovers and protectors of the coven head. Covens were first made as a compromise because in wizarding society, there is a high amount of yandere and a low amount of darlings, so the Ministry of Magic put the concept of covens in place. Within the magic population, 75% are yandere, 20% are unaffected, 5% are darlings. Wizards have a spell that shows if they are Yandere, unaffected, or darlings. The spell requires a drop of the blood of the magic user. After the spell, if the blood drop turns black, they are a yandere; if the blood remains red, they are unaffected; and if the blood drop turns gold, they are a darling.
Covens: Covens comprise at least three people: one coven head (darling) and at least two coven members (yanderes). The ministry allows for covens to be formed at the age of 15. A coven is made when the darling accepts a yandere, and they make a bloodpack spell in which the yandere is marked with a special ruin tattooed on their body. No coven ruins are identical, which shows that the yandere is a coven member. Some Yanderes want their ruin more visible, depending on their intensity.
Yanderes: As wizard society is predominantly yandere, yandere attitudes and actions are very normalized. Yanderes only feel yandere tendencies towards darlings. Yanderes are not yandere to all darlings just one particle darling. Stalking, possessiveness, and jealousy are seen as totally normal, and wizard society burdens the darling with keeping their yanderes in line. Yanderes seem totally normal til they meet their darling, their only indicator before being that their blood turns black under the identifier spell. Adjusting to yandere tendencies tend to affect muggleborn magic users the most because they would not have grown up with this concept and been prepared.
Unaffected: Unaffected, while small, is higher in number than darlings. Unaffected magic users tend to keep to their own group. They don't like to get involved with any darling most of the time in fear of suffering the wrath of a yandere.
Darlings: Darlings are the smallest of the wizarding population. They are no different than the unaffected but something in their magic aura pulls yandere to them. Pureblood and Halfbood darlings have the advantage of being prepared for their fate, unlike their muggleborn counterparts. Muggleborn darlings, for obvious reasons tend to be the most combatant to getting a coven.
Hogwarts: Around 1000 students go to Hogwarts, making around 750 yanderes, 200 unaffected, and 50 darlings. The average coven numbers are 7 members, one darling, and 6 yanderes, but sizes vary all the time. The biggest number recorded in the history of magic is a coven made up of 100 members. Hogwarts accommodates covens with their own dormitory. The dormitory itself is in the Covenhead’s house wing, but a yandere accesses it by going through an enchanted doorway that allows them to access it due to their ruins. Only coven members can enter their own coven rooms. There is an enchanted doorway in each house's common room.
