I’m convinced that the people who hate acosf really don’t get the whole point of the book.

I love how Nesta crowns Gwyn with the ribbon, thus making her a Valkyrie, and she does it as a makeshift Invoking Stone. She doesn't even know yet why Gwyn doesn't wear the stone, just that Gwyn doesn't feel like she deserves to. Nesta may not be able to give her the Invoking Stone, but by crowning Gwyn with the ribbon, she's essentially telling Gwyn that she does deserve it and that she has never failed anyone.

Cassian appreciation week flew by, but I'm too impatient a person to wait for Nessian appreciation week to post this. This was supposed to be for Day Four - Lovers.

So when Elain ignores Lucien, it’s ok because she doesn’t owe him anything (which is true)

BUT..

When Nesta ignores Cassian in ACOFAS she is an horrible person who deserves all the pain and more.

There are some really bad characters in these books and you choose to rag on a 24?

Some of these characters are hundreds of years old and are still assholes.

One thing I’m gonna be is a Nesta lover.

I look at all her faults, mistakes, cracks, trauma and everything in between and see a beautifully fleshed out and complex character.

She’s 24. She’s learning, making mistakes (and isn’t proud of them), figuring out herself and her new body out, unwinding from this box she was forced into by her mother, trying to find her purpose and has (and had) so much anger. How to stop being angry and start to try and be happy.

She’s making friends (true friends) coming outside her shell to open up, finding other people who understand her and love her for everything she is and isn’t.

She is not perfect but that’s the point.
