Graphic Designer. See the world through my eyes. I may look happy, but honestly my dear, the only way I'll really smile is if you cut me ear to ear. In Kennedy I trust. Why? Because Jack and Bobby gave us something great. They gave us hope. Follow my design blog - clairediddlesdesigns.

RIP Ben Bradlee, the legendary Washington Post editor died at the age of 93 due to natural causes.
“I don’t want to disappoint too many people, but … the number of interesting political, historical conversations we had, you could stick in your ear, it wasn’t that many. We talked about friends, family and of course girls.” Ben Bradlee on his friendship with John F. Kennedy

In reference to the wedding video gloriousjacqueline found…an angry JFK Jr.
July 30th: “A fellow page at the Hammersmith Farm wedding of Jackie’s half sister Janet Auchincloss restrains an angry John from fighting with a boy who called him a ‘sissy’ because of his white satin and blue sash page’s outfit. Later though, John tussled in the dirt with another boy who offended him, then attempted to lead two of the Auchincloss ponies through the reception tent. John’s uncle Jamie Auchincloss found John’s behavior charming. ‘John was not being bratty,’ he said. ‘It was just that he didn’t like wearing the pale blue silk and satin and having his hair combed all the time. He liked to clown around in a nice way.’ Another guest at the wedding was not amused. ‘That boy travels at ninety miles an hour.’ she sniffed, ‘at right angles to everyone else.’

Once Carolyn and I were flipping through his family album and there were pictures you only see on the History Channel. She’d say ‘Who is this, honey?’ and he’d be, ‘Oh that’s my father’s Secretary of State.’ [But] he was just so normal. You never felt like you were in the presence of somebody with his fame.

We used to have Thanksgivings at Hyannis Port. I’d cook for them. Carolyn didn’t know how to cook too much, but she wanted to learn. John would ask me to tell Carolyn about his mother. I told her how she liked to spoil John a little but she’d get angry with him when he was a teenager and take her car without permission to Martha’s Vineyard. We talked about how his mother liked clothes, how she didn’t go shopping when we traveled- the designers came to her. Carolyn loved those stories.
