but i saw posts about trans kids vs the hogwarts dorms and

What about a kinda awkward trans slytherin boy who isn’t out yet, and he learns of the whole stairs dilemna from two elder boys complaining about it at the feast, and is absolutely horrified, coz, y’know. Coming out is scary and if you’re not ready then you’re not ready.

so he goes to dumbledore and shyly explains his predicament, asking if they can change the rules for him , but they cant coz *insert hermione granger Hogwarts: A History rant here*, so they just organize a separate dorm for him, and you know that shits gonna catch fire, especially with all the fuckin scandals hogwarts has been through, so this poor slytherin first year is the centre of all of

“She’s fucking snape or some shit, the teachers all treat her too nicely”

“Jamie told me that her dad was some sirius black, and the other parents didnt want a serial killers kid sleeping in the same dorm as the other students”

But this is hogwarts so theres always a group of friendly hufflpuffs and in this particular case its a group of elder kids who see this awkward, sweet, ambitious closeted first year trying to stand up to a bunch of asshole fifth year gryffinjocks and think ah yes this is my son and i would die for him

and they get caugth when they sneak into his dorm to have a sleepover by the protective group of elder slytherins who sneak in whenever shit goes down in their dorm to gossip politely inform him of what hes missing out on, so now this kid has a fuckton of supportive friends and firsthand access to all the juiciest slytherin gossip and we’re all happy again

(Bonus: after he comes out theres a big adorable homecoming for him in the slytherin dorms and the huffepuffs sneak in with cake but he gets bullied even more, so of course the gryffindors jump right on that shit and now occasionally you’ll be strolling peacefully down the halls of hogwarts and will hear “HIS NAME IS NATHANIEL MOTHERFU-” cut off by like twelve different jinxes)
