funny this shit happens like the day i come back huh. tumblr like breaks n shit. its like it knew. it knew it couldnt handle my chaotic energy.

maybe i should open my discord for RPing and generally chatting with mutuals instead. who knows? tumblr staff cannot track me there.

he noticed a firefly around and softly gasped, extending his claws as the bug landed on his finger; pulsing a bit as flick admired its beauty before it quickly flew away.  he loved those little irreplaceable beings, so full of life… so beautiful and yet so frail; it was irresistible!  you cannot blame him for falling in love with such wondrous nature.

he smiled to himself, “.. the bugs here are always so friendly, mr. universe.  have you ever greeted them?  they’re so… elegant, full of personality… i can’t ever fathom how we deserved them in the first place…”

He had to admit, he never really focused much on bugs. But, when thinking back to the times he had forest walks alone...it was a very pretty scene, with all the little critters.

“Yeah, they’re pretty wonderful. Really, it’s a wonder how we deserve any of what we have...the bugs, the fish, the Gems, heck, even just the people around us. Life’s such a mysterious, beautiful thing, Flick.”

The Gems...man, that brings back memories. Of his youth. Elegant, full of personality...like her. He misses those times. But he can’t keep dwelling on them. Life goes on, after all.

the reptilian man noticed a figure with a guitar by the beach, strumming away without a care in the world.  he raised a brow, curious as to why this man was all alone so late in the night ─  well, eight o’clock at night isn’t that late, he supposed…  though its still sad to see someone by themselves.  he decided to take initiative for once, and say hello.

he approached the brown-haired man, popping his hip and shouldering his spiked bug net.  “hey.  you live here?  my name’s flick.”

Greg had been strumming an old tune of his idly in the night as he relaxed in his old beach chair. A Dollar For A Lover is what he had called it way back then, a piece he kept with him now only for its complex chord progression--it kept his fingers busy and his mind focused. He had been about halfway through before the reptilian came up to him, breaking him out of his haze of nostalgic memories and back into reality.

“Oh, uh...yeah, hey, I live here.”

He went ahead and set his guitar down next to him. It buried into the sand a little as it sank in, the neck resting up against the edges of the chair.

“I’m Greg, Greg Universe. It’s nice to meet you, Flick!”
