i was going through docs on some of my old kotlc ocs to scavenge for parts to use on a new project, and tell me why in one character profile i specifically mentioned that a second character’s backstory was all figured out and was written in paragraph form rather than my normal bulletpoint brainstorming, but when i went to the second character’s page it was the most bare of them all and whatever ideas i did have were all in my head

i’m rereading the keeper series as i attempt every year and i just finished lodestar and let me just say i have always loved biana but she is CONSISTENTLY solving problems, being a good friend, and coming up with plausible plans of attack and she’s so cool and infinitely cooler than everyone else in this book which i am rediscovering

no, this YA love interest is special. see, he has trauma because his parents hate him, but get this, he covers it up with sarcasm. and he's not just humor. he's really accepting too. see, not only does he accept the main character's greatest flaw (being clumsy), he actually finds it endearing. but (and this is really brilliant on the author's part) the main character doesn't even know she likes him yet. she actually finds him annoying. boom. mind blown, right? and he's not just your typical, perfect, well-styled hot guy—he has messy hair and rumpled clothing. yeah, he's white and has blue eyes, why do you ask?

my take is that many of these animals have been around for tens of thousands of years, and the dinosaurs even longer than that. I wouldn’t be shocked if they just slightly evolved or adapted to be able to eat plants easier, like how darwin’s finches all have different beaks to allow them to eat different types of food. maybe the carnivores adapted over time and their jaws and teeth are more suited for a more mixed diet than strictly meat or plants. natural selection and all that. but then again if they’re pulling these animals from the wild then maybe not.

I do understand why a lot of fans automatically say that the elves feeding animals vegetarian diets is bad, but I don't think it's reasonable to apply human standards to the elvin world in this case. Gnommish plants are very different from human plants. I think it's pretty clear that they don't have the same composition, and I don't think it's reasonable to assume that the animals can't digest gnommish plants.

“what if i told you i stopped pressing buttons” but in this scenario i am biana. what if i told you i watched my brother die and my other brother stop trying to save him. i could have also tried to save him but i just stood by and watched, justifying to myself that it was up to my brother who was trying from the start. ultimately i am also to blame but no one will hear from my bystander perspective.
