Imagine a giant/tiny situation where the tiny notices that the giant usually paints their nails and asks them if they can paint them themselves.

Nails would be the perfect size for a tiny to use as a canvas and I think it would be a wholesome situation to have your nails painted with little scribbles of someone the size of your hand (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

Between the Branches Pt. 1

Newt climbed the tree before him with no small amount of effort. It was a tall fir, needles heavy with snow. The lowest branches were a few feet off the ground, which meant Newt had to dig his claws in, sticky pine sap dripping from the wounds he inflicted upon the wood. It was going to be a pain to wash out his fur later but hopefully the treasure above him was worth it.

Once he was finally to the branches the climb became much easier. A natural ladder for Newt to take advantage of. Finally he reached the level he needed to be on. Before him, out on the end of a thick sturdy branch, was a nest. His mouth watered as he caught sight of the white eggshells, they almost seemed to glow, and Newt could swear he could taste the yolks already. He would eat like a king that day, if he could get them that is.

He started inching his way out towards the nest. He glanced nervously at the sky, making sure an unhappy mother wouldn’t swoop in to peck at him. The eggs were just almost in reach when a crack sounded from above. Suddenly a cascade of fresh snow slipped from the higher branches.

Newt yelped as the new weight shook the branch below his feet and he slipped. He scrabbled and clawed trying to catch another branch, but to no avail. He fell. And fell. Pine needles and twigs scratched at Newt’s face and body as he collided with the lower branches. He let out a yelp as he felt a hot pain sear through one of his legs before finally he landed unceremoniously in a pile of leaves.

He could feel his heart hammering in his chest. Of all the ways that climb could have ended, this was the worst. He needed to get up and move, he could feel the blood leaking from his wounds, and if he stayed here too long some predator would certainly sniff him out. And then Newt heard the only sound that could possibly make this whole situation worse.

“What in the world was that” a surprised voice boomed. A human voice.

Story rambles below

One of G/t stories started as an AU of an idea that then I loved so much it’s now the main idea!

In this world superpowered people don’t become heroes nor villains, but are instead engineered and used as tool for society. Speedsters create energy, telepaths act as lie detectors, super strength help with construction, etc. etc.

Gwyn is the first in a new line of designer healers, engineered to take up less space and need less resources to care for. Gwyn measures in at about 6in tall from the soles of his feet to the tips of his ears.

Things go sideways for Gwyn when he ends up helping steal some medicine for someone in need. He suddenly finds himself on the run through the hospital walls from a massive super tasked with capturing him. Eilif.

Eilif does capture Gwyn and the two end up back at a laboratory where they start to, very slowly, form a friendship

g/t romance is great and all but my heart has such a special place for platonic size differences. the trust and reliance a tiny has to have, how careful and soft the giant is. that's their friend! they manage to take up the exact same space in each others hearts! it's so beautiful.

Wick's End Masterpost
