President Rodrigo Duterte. Is it worth it?
In the previous administration of duterte, trials came and good things were accomplished. There is no perfect leadership in every nation, because the people themselves are not perfect. Everyone has his or her own strength, ability, and character. It is not new in our culture that whenever there is a new elected President, automatically, the critical eye and the sharp tongues of the people are already there, we can not get rid of it because our country lives in democracy. Different people, age, gender, different perspectives, and I am one of them. A student, a child, a friend. I have my own opinion and perspective about our current administration as well. Our current administration faced a lot of problems and challenges that you will ask and wish that it did not happen, one of this tragedy is the war on drugs where many Filipinos are killed because of this ordinance. This issue became confidential because our policemen killed people whom they believe that is connected to drugs. This problem is not a thing to make fun with because the lives of filipinos are the main issue in this ordinance. As a student and a Christian. I believe that killing and taking someone's life is never been a solution to end the war against drugs, it will never be a solution to end it, why? How can a person change his life when he will never had a chance to do it because someone took his life? It seem that we did not give them the opportunity to chanth themselves for the better because someone took their lives as if it was just like a trash that was thrown away. Everybody deserves a chance. I remember then, the government had conducted a drug test to the police officers and the result is many of them are positive for using drugs. Is it very ironic? The known-to-be-the-ones-to-end-our-suffering-in-drugs were also the one who is using it? I can imagine, that someone was killed without due process and without the strong evidence to prove that that person really is under the use of drugs. On the other hand, there are some of our country's issues that our President has overcome, one of these was the ending of the "tanim-bala" that became a seruous issue with the customs, which is passenger baggage were loaded with bullets. It was ended by our President and I was impressed by his quick action about this matter. At the end of the day, no one is perfect. Change will never ever begin with our government but ourselves and we should know and learn to be a wise citizen and criticize what is right and what is wrong. Duterte's administration begins with a soft and a good start but is now facing a serious and a rough road not just for him but for everyone and for our country.

Do you want to play?
Once in our lives, there is something that brings us to the truth from the world of falsehood. We have different perspectives on the world, different beliefs, and different ways of looking at the world. Well, me? My perspective changed because of a game. Yes, one game.
A game that will test your courage, that will test your skills, and will test how far you'll go. You are fighting for money, for great wealth and popularity, and this game is called "Nerve". In this game, you are controlled by the people. They will dicatate what you should do, and they will watch every move you make. You have to obey, that's the only way, to follow. People whose watching you will decide what you should do, based on what they want, that's what you need to do in the given time for you, you have to do it because otherwise your money and fame will be gone forever.
As I watch this movie, only one thing runs in my mind, which is, media has a huge impact on human. It feeds the mind and even the morality of the person who worships it. Others are losing their dignity, just for the money and the desired prospects. They even like to kill each other so they could have the entertainment they wanted. They are able to risk their own lives just to say that they are good and they are more than enough with their competitors. Those are, the effects and power of the media. This is what we should focus on and avoid in the real life that is actually happening now.
We need to be smart in using media, in the style of fancy, and in search of entertainment. You do not have to show the world how brave and strong you are by doing things that are not desirable and can risk your own life. You do not have to compete with others just to make sure you're good, and you do not need money just to make sure you're rich, because ultimately, the real winner in the end is a person who is wise, humble, and satisfied with whatever he has.
The real winner is a person who does not get along with the wrong beliefs of the world. Lastly, you can never conceal your real identity on the internet, we have to be responsible in using media, you may destroy your own reputation in just one click.

Valenzuela means "little valencia" in Spanish, and is also the surname Dr. Pio Valenzuela, a Filipino physician and patriot who was among the leaders of the Katipunan that started the Philippine Revolution against Spain after which the city was named. (Www.valenzuelausa.org) Valenzuela is one of the most popular cities in the Philippines and I am one of its citizens. As a student and citizen of Valenzuela, I have seen how much they treasured the culture and art in this city, how the people can work together, how they protect the treasure that has given to us by our local hero, Dr. Pio Valenzuela. Being a citizen of Valenzuela is truly an honor for me, a city of art and craftsmanship, which values and enriches the wealth that our beloved hero has dedicated to us. In partnership with the celebration of Dr. Pio Valenzuela 148th birthday, I, a student studying and taking up Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies Major in Theater Arts and studying at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, screaming at the top of my lungs that "I am a proud Valenzuelano!" #DrPioValenzuela148 #ValenzuelaDay2017

Journalism is all about passion, dedication and courage. Thesw are the words that I have realized when our professor gave us a task. We have to visit the timeline of a journalist on facebook and view her posts about the current happenings in Marawi City. While scrolling through her timeline, and reading all her posts. I realized something, that journalism isn't just about making news, giving information and having the best scoop. Journalism is all about 'experiencing' the news, having the couarage to experience whats beyong the line and being brave enough to stand and fight for your principle as a journalist. Journlism isn't just about money and fame. Its all about the experience, and all about the desire and passion to stand for the truth.
