It is said that rich experiences with nature are important for children's growth, nurturing their sensitivity, intelligence, and mind. In addition, original experiences with nature*1 in childhood are extremely important for creating a society in which nature and people interact well. However, children's experience of nature still remains at a low level. In addition, there is a disparity in the number of children experiencing nature depending on their family circumstances. Therefore, the Nature Conservation Society of Japan (NACS-J) is implementing a project that aims to provide all children with original experiences of nature, including children who are in situations where it is difficult for them to participate in regular nature observation events.

Week 14 developments - planned shoot
Location: Ambury Regional Park.
When a child runs around in the park, he may feel free and happy because he is playing with his friends. Most children in the park will naturally go to the running bar, which is where they feel free and happy. This is very helpful for physical and mental health, just like when he builds sand castles on the beach or observes the forest from the window. Conversely, children who lead sedentary lives are prone to developing introversion and weak self-esteem, lack of attention span, and worse mental and physical health conditions. Contact with nature is not a recreational activity, but something that is vital to our mental balance and health.

Nowadays, children growing up in cities do not lack material possessions and education, but this environment limits children's opportunities to engage with nature. Contact with nature is beneficial to children's cognitive development, as well as stimulating creative and risk management skills, improving their emotional state, and empowering them to cope with psychological problems that may arise. A weekend trip to the farm is a great option. It gives children living in the city the opportunity to be exposed to nature and learn about how a creature grows, and can teach children to respect other life. While learning to take care of small animals, they can also learn to care for others and develop a loving heart.

Location: friend's house

Model: Jeff’s Pet( Ruru)
Set up by: Shoran and Jeff.
Time table:
10:55am - Driving to a friend's house for photography.
11:30am - Arrived to friends home and set up a good photo scene.
11:40am- Went to the backyard to see the state of the rabbits.
11:50am - Play with rabbits (rabbits are nervous because we don't know each other)
12:10pm - My friend carried the rabbit out of the rabbit's house to reassure it.
12:20pm- Put the rabbit into the set-up scene to take pictures, but it runs around and can't give it a shot to find.
1:50 pm - After spending a long time catching rabbits, we decided to set up the photo shoot at home.
2:30 pm - My friend helped me to hold the rabbit still with my shooting.
3:00pm-3:30pm The rabbit is in a relaxed mood and can be photographed alone.
Lighting: Suitable for indoor shooting backgrounds and props different rooms using natural light with electric lights.

Pitch Photo brief
I didn't have a lot of knowledge about pets before, but since all my friends around me have pets, I started to understand more about pets. I like the healing and relaxing feeling that pets can bring to people through the lens of Japanese photographers, and I filled out a photo campaign template to further understand what a photo campaign should follow or include. I photographed pet portraits.
