Regulus Black has hated James Potter for years. He’s obnoxious, and arrogant, and stole his brother away. James Potter has hated Regulus Black for years. But only because he’s so mean to him. And James, frankly, doesn’t think he deserves it. When the two star as romantic leads in a new coming-of-age movie and have a very public catfight at the wrap party, the publicity team scrambles to find a way to fix this before social media runs wild with it. Something like… a relationship between the two Hollywood golden boys? Featuring fake dating, lots of late-night talk shows and interviews, getting a little too heated “for the paparazzi”, and denial being a river in Egypt.

i love loser remus and his tie that isn't tied properly and his shoes that untie even when he double-knots them so he has to crouch awkwardly in the hallway to do it and his limbs are too long and his handwriting is scratchy and ugly and his notes are a mess and his face always has a spot of ink in the exact same spot because he has an awful habit of resting his hand on his face and he ums and ahs when he has to answer a question in class and his shirt is never tucked in properly and he never has matching socks and they're all funky colours and he's really enthusiastic about not breaking the spines of his books and he trips over nothing and leaves the great hall with jam in the corner of his mouth and his hair is always flat on one side because he wakes up too late to do anything to do it and he knows obscure facts about things so he's pointing out the age of rocks or smth on his first date with sirius and he's such a fucking loser but sirius is like 🥰fun rock facts🥰pretty man🥰my loser🥰

I love, love, LOVE it when I can tell a fic author has integrated their specialized knowledge in a fic. I was reading a fic that at some point included the character going to visit an art therapist, and it's so clear that the author is an art therapist themself, and the details included are just immaculate and I love it. I've previously read about a character doing fencing for no other reason than the author clearly wanting to write a sport they understood. A character being given a hyperfixation on bugs just so the author can infodump themselves.

not to do this again. but i simply can't. deal. with the whole. i don't read wips attitude. i can't. I AM NOT. talking about people who have some disability etc. that makes reading wips hard for whatever reason. i'm talking more about the general attitude of like. i want long fics but only once they're completely finished. that is a WILD ask my guy. wild. read wips. READ WIPS. it just needs to be less socially acceptable in this space not to read wips. i am so tired of getting comments being like "i never read wips but--" my guy wut. READ WIPS.
