Hello I'm back from a lil burn out, and I decided to warm up again by joining a "tober" challenge. I decided to do calmtober by instagram artist kriksisart which has rests in between. I've also decided to make every prompt cute and spooky because tis the season 🎃

So prompt nº1, teapot it is, a spoopy teapot 👻

So...do you see a Sadist/masochist relationship as a D/s?

Once I've been told that because my relationship is mainly based on sadomasochism, it's not a true D/s relationship and that I'm a "lazy sub" because I don't do things for my Dominant.

I shrugged it off by now but this thought still bothers me sometimes

Here are some thoughts:

• Sadistic/masochistic interactions are d/s interactions. If you have these types of scenes, at least part of your relationship is a d/s relationship. (probably just the bedroom part)

• Many people only participate in the lifestyle when they are in the bedroom. If you only participate in d/s interactions in the bedroom, you are playing as a TOP or a BOTTOM. There is nothing wrong with being a top or bottom. You are not less of a kinkster because you are a top or bottom. It’s simply the way that works best for some people.

• If you are a bottom, you are submissive (adjective), but you don’t live the same life as a submissive (noun). If you are a top, you are dominant (adjective), but you don’t live the same life as a dominant (noun).

• There is a huge range of effort people decide to put into their d/s relationships. If a couple is busy and they create a light d/s dynamic, it doesn’t mean they are lazy. They are just working with the time and energy they have available for each other.

•People who compare d/s relationships lack the understanding in the spectrum of dynamics that can be created within the lifestyle. Beyond a few simple ingredients, there is no “right way” to do a dynamic. There is no perfect d/s dynamic to hold people up against.

ok I've remained quiet this whole time (mainly because I'm on hiatus) but celebrating, applauding and patting each other on the back for harassing and mass bullying a single person for days, without giving them the chance to explain themselves and saying how it brought the community closer together is a new type of low and absolutely disgusting.

this isn't the first time this happened; someone is being accused of plagiarism and being instantly mass blocked without even consulting them or hearing them out, despite claiming 'my mutuals are my friends'.

this happened before, we all KNOW this happened before, and unfortunately, it will happen again.

imagine communicating like actual adults you claim to be, instead of doing whatever the fuck this is.

would be great if at least some people were open to communicating but I know posting this will most likely get me blocked too.
