I've no experience with these introductory-type posts, but here we go.

The name's Magi, he/him. I'm a boy-alter in a girl-system. That is, a plural boy in a CAMAB body whose headmates are mostly (if not all) women, and overall as a system we are transfeminine. That probably raises a few questions, but that's what posts like this are for. So, here we go.

1. What's that?

A plural system, in short, is a group of several personalities (alters) who all share one body. You've probably seen it in media - and if so, you've probably seen a pretty disdainful depiction of it. In real life, systems are, like, human beings. You can talk to us.

As for me, I'm in a system of 5 people total - that's me and 4 trans women. I'm the only exclusive he/him user in this body (some alters use any/all, but ultimately identify as women). As an aside, all of our names actually start with M. That's just a thing we do for ourselves.

2. Are you cis?

I am a person who was coercively assigned male at birth, and I identify as male. Typically, that makes someone a cisgender man. However, my situation is complicated just the tiniest bit by the fact that I have a bunch of girls in my head.

My body is thoroughly estrogenised (almost 3 years as of writing), and others will tell you that I've been seen wearing feminine clothes, using feminine pronouns and introducing myself with a feminine name. After all, approximately 80% of the time, the person using this body is female.

Thus, in any situation I have two options - allow myself to be read as transfem, or come out as plural to someone or other. I've never done the latter with anyone I know in real life. And even if I did, I'm far less likely to end up getting read as a cis man for it than I am to get read as "some sort of freak who can't even tell if it's male or female".

In conclusion - my identity technically makes me a cisgender man, but in my opinion (and those of my headmates) there are very few, if any, situations where I would receive any cis male privilege. If you have no objections to this, then feel free to consider me a rare-but-real TMA cis man blogger.

3. What's your main blog?

Yeah, see, if you find out what my main blog is, it'll change your view of me. You'll come to see me as some part, with a corresponding whole. That's not your fault, it's just how these things work. And maybe in some sense you'd be right. But nevertheless I'd like this space to exist as my own person, independent of that. So, sorry, but you're not getting it.

4. Where does the blog name and title come from?

The name is Italian for "the sun of nothing". Both it and the title are references to the album Colors by Between the Buried and Me. It's an excellent work of progressive metal.

However, as some may know, in 2023 serious allegations were made against the band's guitarist Dustie Waring. The band was frankly not on the ball with kicking him out, touring with him at least once since - and frankly I find it difficult to believe they were entirely unaware about his behaviour in the first place. So, if you do want to check out the band, feel free to pirate all of their albums and never buy any of their merch.

5. Do you like Persona 3?

That obvious? Yes, it's one of my favourite games, and I identify pretty heavily with the protagonist Minato Arisato - which, by the way, is his canon name. Just like how he is canonically gay with Ryoji Mochizuki.
