VERSE — THE RAVEN CYCLE
Henrietta is far from home in every sense of the word. There aren’t any skyscrapers. The sun doesn’t beat you down from every direction, and everything is alive. A far cry from the desert that he called home for so long.
The most disturbing difference is his new classmates; Rich boys that remind him more of their parents than actual teens. He’d been around rich kids before, sure, but this was someone taking his head and shoving it into their world without letting him take a breath before hand. Which was, pretty much, what it was; Dead mom, passed off to a family friend that might as well be his uncle, and then dropped off into this place without a moment to absorb it all.
So, without much choice; he guesses he’ll either get used to it, carve a place for himself in this podunk somehow or die trying.
