I really don't like how the majority of the fans accept caits wordless "apology" for hitting Vi and even go as far as to mock fans who wanted a verbal one, saying they want to be spoon-fed. I mean this on a writing level BTW, don't care about what it says about caits character, I care about it on the level of a writing decision being made that trivialised hitting your partner.

I think when you're dealing with things like intimate partner abuse and you're trying to present a relationship that's seen as romantic and desirable, you need a verbal apology. People who have been hit by their partners deserve a verbal apology at the minimum and I don't like the show presenting a none explicit one as enough.

But even worse are the people mocking me for thinking that, like I'm sorry as an abuse victim I feel like it isn't romantic to avoid appologising for hitting your girlfriend. I don't get what my "media literacy" has to do with it. And I don't care if you ship it, man I wouldn't care if cait continously beat vi and you shipped it still, I hate that the lack of an explicit apology is presented as romantic by the show, its a tender moment in a romantic scene.

It's even more insulting than the thing the show decides to address explicitly is that she was sleeping with Maddie 😭 as Vi says, I don't fucking care lmao. I think in reality an apology for hitting her would of ruined the mood of the sex scene and we can't be having that I guess.
