little rant : gonna tear my hair out over work (but its not worth it)

my manager and co-worker are like besties/mother-daughter/sisters or some cringe shit like that (manager is 45 co-worker is 26)

my manager does not manage her because she has made a rod for her own back and let their relationship become like that. They giggle and gossip and my co-worker sits on her phone & barely any work gets done or completed. Its the kinda job thats like being semi self-employed as need a lot of self motivation and organisation. She's needs to get moving and make sales. My manager then tells me when my co-worker isn't around that she tries to tell my co-worker to do stuff but it just doesn't work. She doesn't know what to do. What should she do? I dont know! Because if the manager gets tough, my co-worker will probably cry and quit. But she stays soft our boss will eventually find out through her sales figures and go into a spitting fucking rage. And then she'll probably cry and quit if he doesn't fire her first. Maybe don't hang out outside of work and go to the spa together for your birthday and post it on FB with the caption 'best day ever' and then expect her to lock in at work the next day. ffs
