More good information to share from Gallaudet University Presidential interviews.

Everyone has their own unique way to communicate, none of the communication methods should ever be frowned upon. None. Everyone is special and has their own accents with voice and or hand gestures and or sign language. There are many different kinds of signed languages all over this world. In today's age, all languages should be accepted and respected.

There are many individuals out there who can speak and or write up to 5 or 6 different languages. That's quite impressive!

This world needs more love and respect, less hate.

sorry it took me so long to respond. I'm reading Monstrous Regiment after Snuff. I understand it's a stand-alone...? But a friend recommend I put it at the end of the other Watch books. 🙂

Just finished "Thud!" I can't believe it too me this long to get into Discworld. A friend tried 20ish years ago... but damn, I love this series. I think this might have become my new favorite book. 💚 Two more in the City Watch series left.

This blog doesn't exist without your encouragement. The Orion doesn't exist without YOU. Ive barely spoken to most you, directly, but whether it's the memes or fanart you share, many of you have left very endearing and encouraging posts. I keep a folder of screenshots on my phone for when I need a little morale boost. Some of your comments and tags are just downright hilarious; I read them all.

Fun fact, ASL has roughly 10,000 signs compared to an estimated 200,000 English words. I think I can get by with what I know, anything I miss or can't remember, I spell, but DAMN I am constantly obsessing over specific signs. lol 😬

A1-A2: man, there're so many words I need to know in order to say literally anything

B1-B2: wow, what I know is enough now

C1-C2: man, there're so many weirdly specific words I need to know in order to describe these weirdly specific things I've only seen once in my life. Also I forgot how to say ceiling.

Just received an Instacart order and the person who delivered the food signed to me "thank you - have a good day." I was so stunned I fumbled but managed to sign "same." he then signed "wonderful you sign!" again I fumbled but managed to get out "sorry my signing is so-so, I have no one to practice with." he replied "wonderful, good job, thank you." so, I hope I conveyed it properly. lol

Wanted to give those who have followed and enjoyed my work a preview. The Orion is a fake news site devoted solely to my hyperactive love of all things Star Trek. I'm doing it this way because I have a metric fuckton of ideas I'm trying to get to and I've felt too spread out across social platforms. The Orion site www.gettheorion.com and companion Tumblr @gettheorion will be where my Trek stuff will live. It should start automatically updating at 8:20 am CST 🤞🏻 Moving forward this current site will be where my other NON-trek stuff will live but also, where I can spend time enjoying other people's posts.
