7/22/24
re: 7/21/24
I have been in San Antonio for a month now,
I got here June 15, and that first 3 weeks was... hard. I think we are finally getting the hang of it here though; we are re-realizing that change comes through constant decision making, having faith and confidence in that decision, and not recoiling from failure permanetly. Mistakes happen, short comings, happen. The important thing is to learn from them, and not let them be what you obsess over. If you must obsess, let it be over improvement, not at any cost, but in an incremental, daily way. Just be a bit better than the day before.
Anyway, yesterday was strange. Biden stepped out of the presidential race, nomimating Kamala to step up from VP. We found while helping a family upgrade. It was surreal. Then we bonded with a young couple upgrading, and exchanged gardening tips. Angelique was the wife, Sam, was the husband. They called us wonderful and asked if they could leave a good review, or positive survey; we thanked them for that. Then we helped a woman named Kruetziger with metastatic breast cancer upgrade, amd she said she hates sales people, but loved us, and felt really helped. Yesterday felt like a real turning point. Even after some random lady misunderstood everything we offer, we really didn't mind re-educating her, because she really would go to T-Mobile fully understanding what she deserves in her upgrade.
We really are helping people. We just need to build endurance. Improve our work/life balance. Get that damn Prius. One day at a time.
