This project began at Ohio State University in an effort to bring together the many different people on campus who are tired of rape and the threat of rape shaping their college experience. Please join the movement against sexual violence and tell us why YOU fight rape culture! WHAT IS rape culture? Rape culture describes a society, like ours, where rape is common, where people look the other way as it happens on an all too regular basis, and where this is supported by structural sexism and the objectification of women.

I fight rape culture because…I, for some reason, still have a bit of faith in human kind. We have made so much progress in many aspects of our world, and this is one that needs to be a priority. We CAN do this. We should want to protect one another, no one should have to experience or even know someone who has experienced such a violation of his or her life. We deserve more than to tolerate a world where rape is common.
