Perhaps I am a horrible person, but I do not like Reginald. Everything about him is just so embarrassing. Like the scene in hot water when he talks about saving you made me want to rip my skin off, don’t even get me started on prisms k-boom speech. I don’t like all the lovey dovey characters that try and be nice to you. like that’s so embarrassing, get away from me

For Starstruck/Junicrane shippers out there, the song "Bahala na" by Kenaniah seems to fit their situation quite well. (To me at least.)

Please note: while some translations translate it as she/her, understanding it as he/him is perfectly valid.

For added context: "Bahala na" can mean "come what may" or "whatever", depending on the translation. The song describes feeling like your crush is way out of your league and wondering if you'd take your chances (of getting hurt/ heartbroken/embarrassed) when it's likely your crush doesn't even know you.

There are so many songs not in English that remind me of certain IEYTD fanfics. And it feels so awkward to try to talk about it to the writers because of the language barrier.

With the CIA managing to conduct psychological warfare against people by staging an aswang (but commonly translated vampire) attack to drive out their enemies from the mountains, I wouldn't be surprised if the agency and/or Zoraxis knows how to conduct it too.

Not sure if the CIA will still exist in the IEYTD universe but what if the agency replaced it?

Who knows? Maybe that's how Phoenix found out about the agency in the first place. Just dropping this into the void.

This is just an opinion since I've been seeing all these: To the past few confessions regarding disliking popular characters or fanon things, the issue isn't "disliking" these, rather the main issue is going after people who enjoy these fanons or characters.

People aren't "clutching pearls" over people disliking popular things. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. This community is MAJORITY chill. People are reacting negatively because of what was said, for example from previous anons: "i step up to the mic. “john juniper is not that interesting.” i am crucified live on stage" "I don’t have any strong nostalgia blindness for the longer-standing characters" "I don’t know if I’d blame that on misogyny out of hand tho, just the fact that he’s been around for longer so ppl have had more time to convince themselves they’re attached to him" This isn't criticism or analysis, this is hostile, no matter how you put it. Criticism and Analysis doesn't warrant insults. Even if it was not direct, it's the emphasis that people who like said characters are "this and that". I saw someone mention this, as much as I agree that confession blogs are a great way to yell into the void about negativity, it isn't a gateway to start going after people for trivial things either. I understand confession blogs are a way to vent these negativities but this is also being posted in a public space (with public tags) so people are allowed to comment and react and to call out bad behavior as well without being told to "just block and move on!".

To the Juniper critical anon, nobody hates you buddy <3 /gen . The way you worded things was awful though and you could've done a better job explaining why you like / think Prism is better than Juniper without insulting people in the process. People are allowed to agree to disagree without insulting others,,,over characters LMAO.

-This is coming from someone who likes Prism and Juniper SO MUCH as characters plus the Fabricator. I'd die for Prism and Fabby anyday <<3333. I don't want people to keep fighting over this over and over again but I wanted to speak up after seeing so many posts about this in particular.

I believe a lot of the hate and discourse in this fandom could be avoided if everyone took a little time to put deeper consideration into characters they don’t find as interesting, but others idolize.

I believe their is interest to be had in almost every character introduced in this game. And I think that so much of it is missed when people stick to one character, and take it as a personal attack when others dislike it.

Ieytd is a puzzle game. A thinking game. I think If we treated each character like a puzzle instead of brushing them off, we could all find a lot more common ground & enjoyment.

It’s clear Schell Games puts a lot of love and effort into crafting each of these games for us. I think we should appreciate it.

i replayed hot water yesterday because i felt a disturbance in the force and wanted to visit ollie

and i found out you could actually drown in the end when the squid breaks the window 😭😭😭

i dont even know how many times ive played the level and just... put on the helmet based off pure vibes, i didnt even know it was neccesary for anything other than the beginning lol

Fun fact, you can do the ending fast enough to not need the helmet, just barely.

hi idk if it’s weird to make an ask to a specific person but juniper critical anon if you’re out there i personally honestly wouldn’t worry about it. personally i don’t think you did come across as super hostile and especially not toxic?? to me at least it read as a “idk this popular character doesn’t do it for me i prefer this other character here’s why” which is fairly par for the course on confession blogs. i think while some of the people arguing against you had some fair points (i think there are more reasons why people like john juniper than him just being around for longer though that’s definitely a factor) it’s overall… really trivial. it’s a confession blogs after all and i think “i don’t really agree with the popular fandom opinion” is that wild of a confession. plus it was on anon anyways so it’s not like you have to go into the witness protection program just, i guess, if you’d like to do anything specific the best course of action is trying to pinpoint which parts of the ask specifically made people read it as hostile and in the future work on phrasing those specific sentiments better?? but honestly you’re fine. thumbs up emoji

i do find it rlly funny how even though it says in the pinned that you can confess disliking a popular character or ship or widely accepted fanon every time someone actually does confess they dont like jj or smokescreen or the way phoenix is portrayed as unable to be left unsupervised for more than 10 mins without burning everything to the ground everyone clutches their pearls abt it as if anonymously posting unpopular opinions isnt like the thing to do on confess blogs
