the hypothetical being human season six that lives in my mind is comprised of several episodes of fighting out of the devil dream. episode one: they break out of the main dream somehow and fall into a pocket that's mostly influenced by alex's subconscious and the genre switches to breakneck action comedy where all men are only half-clothed for reasons that are never explained. they make it out of there by completing some kind of Quest, and then at the very end they fall into another pocket, this one belonging mostly to tom. episode two is a tooth-rottingly sweet fifties style romcom where everyone works normal adult jobs that don't actually make any sense if you think about them for more than thirty seconds. another Quest, they escape, hal's turn. episode three: The Musical Episode. sorry, no, this is hal's, dreamscape, I mean the operetta episode. there are synchronized tap numbers. it's very distressing. episode four: they all properly wake up and beat the devil to death with the combined power of their mutual hellish embarrassment at unwillingly giving their closest friends tours of their psyches.
