Lego kind of screwed over all future Toa of Water by making water breathing Gali's mask power instead of an innate ability. Come on. Why did you have to do that? Her mask is almost useless with her adaptive armor, but even beyond that. Hahli almost died! A Mahri Nui matoran did die!
#bionicle#toa gali#hahli#that one matoran who may or may not have a name#i will accept pitches for alternative mask powers for gali in the responses#i know its from lack of forward planning but it is still unfortunate

It's still beyond hilarious to me that Silence has the least useful description in the entire game To This Day.
Like, ask anyone, ask em, say "What does Banshee's Silence do?"
Ask em if it's good.
I bet, statistically, most of them are outright, entirely, incorrect- and it's not even their fault lol (Or at least "insufficient" in what they understand about it)
Here, try it yourself. What does THIS ability DO?
Did you say "Stuns enemies and makes it so they can't hear"?
Because sure!
Now, is it "good"?
No? You're guess is no because that doesn't sound very good?
Oh my mistake, I forgot to include the HIDDEN SPECIAL EFFECT SILENCE HAS THAT IS THE ENTIRE WORTH BEHIND USING THE ABILITY AND SO DID DE.
Because Silence ALSO disables all enemy abilities.
Just wholesale.
No eximus auras, no ACOLYTE abilities, hell- it even disables basic stuff like Scorpion hooks or the Oxium Osprey's charge self destruct move.
Necromech's on deimos can't do shit, every enemy in the Index can't do shit but shoot, like this thing literally does it all.
Banshee has, as far as I can recall, THE ONLY ability disabling move in the entire game, and they hid it by putting it on an ability that claims to silence your guns (effectively) and then they just never updated the tooltip.
EVEN FUNNIER- It's not even MENTIONED in the "extra tooltips"
You know, these things:
Not even there!
I love Banshee and find this fucking hilarious.
#old warframe descriptions DE hasn't gotten around to updating#part 1 of fkn a million#not sure when they added the suppress effect but it sure wasn't when Banshee was added#love this game

Haha, yeah, dude, I also thought the reveal at Tennocon for Warframe’s new upcoming expansion, “Old Man Jojo Castlevania Yaoi Resident Possible: A Stitch In Time was really cool.

Look, do I think that Whispers in the Wall and especially 1999 are going to be amazing? Probably not. They'll most likely be similar to other updates in that they're buggy, a little weird, maybe not everything you'd hoped, and not changing anything about how we play the game itself in the long term. They might in some way make the game worse by adding more disconnected content.
However, one thing I'm positive they will be is earnest, and exciting, and made with hard work, love, and passion. Honestly, that's all I want. That's all it needs to be, because things don't need to be perfect to be loved.
I'm so excited.

And I wouldn't have it any other way
if you don't play warframe, and you are wondering "hey, what the fuck is warframe about?" congratulations. because that's what everyone who does play warframe is also thinking

In retrospect, we maybe should have seen 1999 coming given the contemporary weapon skins in the last Nightwave.

What if we reimagined all of the other non-Teridax Makuta as eldritch horrors, just as Teridax was initially presented in the early years of Bionicle? What if we used each Makuta as a prompt of sorts; What if THEY were the big villain terrorizing an island, their individual name unknown so they’re just THE Makuta to the local Toa and Matoran? Make each one feel worthy of the title of Makuta, with their depictions in Karda Nui being akin to physical, humanoid avatars meant to interact with others, just as the scheming Teridax is like for the vortex from MNOG?
Like for example, Chirox! You have this swarm of spiders known as the Visorak, led by one massive spider, known as Makuta. The Visorak mutate their victims, before dragging them back to their master.
Makuta is a spider-like entity that emerges from a cave, using his spindly limbs to grapple with and analyze his victims… Potentially drawing upon them for inspiration, before tearing and prying them apart into their base pieces, adding them to his massive collection. From these recycled parts, Makuta creates more Visorak, or dreaded Rahi creatures that wreak havoc on the ecosystem. Like Makuta, they are poison, destruction incarnate; They always inherit his twisted spirit that destroys.
That’s all Makuta does, even when he does create; He inevitably just destroys. Instead of coming up with new things on his own, he relies on Fate to mutate the living into something random, hoping chance will eventually grant him a working design for Makuta to copy. You could say Makuta has no real ideas of his own, and is a gambler, a parasite, betting something will come along for him to take.
