A word from this week’s guest: Gia
I think your blog truly is inspirational. The pictures of all those iconic moments bring a feeling of excitement and a hunger for more moments like those. The games, the victories, the losses, and the challenge. Every picture holds a story. I think it is a wonderful feeling for anyone. Especially when we are able to create our own moment and have it captured. It is something we ourselves, can be proud of. I do not know a lot about boxing and mma compared to my knowledge on basketball and other sports but I respect the way you view your champions. The way you look up to them in a way that is more than just a "fight" is amazing. We may not meet the people we look up to but we can aspire and put in the work to achieve more than just the regular. "Witnessing history," as you say, is a remarkable feeling. Having faith in someone and not losing that faith when things turn around shows how much heart you have for them. When I look up to someone, I try to do the drills they do and put in the work like they do so I can get better each day. Crazy how the effort doesn't only apply to athletics but life goals as well. I believe we all should strive for greatness and become someone we are proud to be. Overall, I look forward to seeing what else you have in store for your blog.

History in the books: Conor McGregor
Pretty weird that everybody is blogging about nice things and stuff that is really cool to look at, I just find it weird that I am covering sports on Tumblr, it makes me seem like an online sports corresponder. Anyways I wanted to share a story which won me 40 bucks, and also some big bragging rights against the boys who doubted my man, Conor Mcgregor. It was Christmas of 2015, Conor Mcgregor was an upcoming featherweight contender, with his powerful left hand being able to stun and drop fighters in his weight division, he was looking for a belt. He went on to fight the undefeated featherweight champion for 10 straight years, Jose Aldo. Jose Aldo was strong, had fast hands, and was surely the top dog in his division. Conor was hungry and he called out for the fight to happen, and so it did. The press conference leading upto it was intense, the energy in brazil (Jose’s home city) was roaring with energy, and Conor was in for it. Many people doubted conor mcgregor, from sports reporters, UFC fighters, to celebrities, they all hoped on the downfall of Conor Mcgregor. I still had my bets in, the ‘Notorious’ as they call him was still my fighter and I still bet my 20 bucks (which was the most money I have ever bet in my life). Entering the octagon, the crowds were ready to see what Conor was all about. He was to make history, to beat the undefeated featherweight champion for 10 years. As the bell for the first round dings, I get nervous, I was pretty scared that I might lose this bet. 13 seconds in the first round, Conor catches aldo with his left hand, he sleeps him, and finishes him off with hammer fists, then the referee calls a stop to the fight. I jump up and I become so happy, it only took 13 seconds for me to win 40 bucks. I find it crazy I was able to witness history, Conor still holds the fastest UFC title fight finish, in 13 seconds. To me, that’s just crazy.

Hello there!
Welcome to my blog! As you can tell from my username or title, I will be blogging about iconic sports moments captured from photographs. I have always admired the greatest and iconic moments in sports that capture the eyes of people who see it. I believe that pictures live on forever and they will tell a story of legends, greatness, and heroes that live on to inspire people just like me. My blog will take you through a journey of all the iconic moments that sports history has ever came down to write on the books, but my pictures will be defined through what they mean and how they continue to inspire people like myself to strive harder, to strive for greatness. I hope you will like the photos of all the sports that I will be covering. Happy blogging!
