SKIN : Any noticeable scars or features on your muse’s skin? Do they try to hide or extenuate them, and why? 

of course cinder struggles with the scar around her eye ; it’s a constant reminder of failure and because of that incident she’s blind — it’s a hindrance and it’s embarrassing to her so she keeps that hidden .

her scar around her neck from childhood is hidden due to trauma , not wanting anyone to see it ; not wanting anyone to see how weak she used to be or that she let such abuse continue for so long. she hides that with specifically tailored high neck clothing but she struggles with necklaces or collars — too familiar .

i also hc that cinder has ice burns from the fight with raven, so her skin has splotches of discoloration where the ice burned into her skin ; those she can hide easily but it still feels like defeat to see them.

and in general ; if her grimm could scar over then it would be covered — her human arm has scars everywhere either from self inflicted wounds or from fights ; she doesn’t bother to cover those anymore but sometimes seeing them can be upsetting .

TRIGGER WARNING : gore / cannibalism / general abuse .

this is where i can finally talk about how i headcanon cinder to be a little gross. she’s never had anything sustainable to eat ; it’s always been scraps and crumbs and absolutely nothing

and i think out of desperation she would’ve need to eat something and her one option the night she killed her abusers at the hotel would’ve been them themselves

she’s still just a kid but she’s desperate and she’s full of violence and rage and she’s been locked away knowing nobody will save her, the gods won’t save her and she got given a chance

salem wouldn’t feed her well , salem would give her the tools but essentially make her fend for herself , the option of human meat or starving and i think that’s why she’s still so slim and still always hungry, she’s never been fed properly, the only time she’s ever been full was that one night and now she’s got this idea that she will stay hungry until she eats like that again and it’s given her such a weird taste for blood that can’t be shaken

and ultimately cinder is locked away at evernight, fully aware that she is wasting away, that if this is god then nothing will save her and she knows that she will either die here or be killed out there and THAT would be a mercy ; this post could also lead onto my other half of darker headcanons but i don’t wanna hhhh DUMP THAT HERE JUST AFTER THIS HELP SORRY
