So, one of the duties I've taken on at work is going through our old employee paperwork and shredding everything that's dated over 7 years from today, and a lot of these files date back to the 80's. But before I shred anything, I first have to go through and remove any metal pieces, which means I see loads of emails, write-ups, terminations, layoffs, promotions, etc. There is so much tea, and sometimes I get so invested in the drama that I have to pause my podcast and give my 100% attention to Barb in Animal Care getting her butt chewed repeatedly for slacking off on the job. Overdue projects and deadlines, miscommunication with her staff, etc. Like, this chick never cleaned her lab, would leave dead mice laying out overnight, as well as urine samples, uncapped needles and syringes, etc, and then she's surprised when she tests positive for lepto. Then she took over a year of sick leave and was pissed when they took it as "voluntary resignation," and so I read a copy of the scathing email she sent to HR.
