Once my dad tries to pull the “but I don’t know how to clean the counters as well as you” on my mom and she said “ok honey I’ll show you” and she made him stand in the kitchen and watch her clean the counters. So on the left we have Prince Aurelius, and on the right is Sebastian. The two of them aren’t exactly in love (it’s complicated) but they’re getting married at the Crown’s request, for what is essentially a publicity stunt

also on the topic of magic and physical injury i think that it's really interesting the ways that magical and medical language do and don't intersect. like magic can leave scars and inflict wounds, but magical damage that sickens or alters the body is usually referred to as "corruption" or "transformation" rather than "infection" or "contamination" despite its resemblance in form and function to an infectious substance. it seems to imply a degree of agency on the part of the magic itself, an intent that bacteria and viruses do not possess, whether that be because the magic itself has a will of its own or reflects that of one who wielded it.
