#USDOJ via OLC reversed prior 2011 legal opinion that #WireAct only applies to sports betting; this now casts legal doubt upon State-regulated iGaming activities, setting stage for huge litigation w/ US States that already have lawful State-based iGaming.
Like US State-based regulated Marijuana industries, I do not see likely DOJ enforcement for Intrastate activity anymore than post-2006 UIGEA up to 2011 prior OLC Memo; that said, payment processing (as was before 2011) will likely be spooked - just as Sheldon Adelson et. al. wanted...
