š What is something you and the mun disagree on?
Mainly, we both disagree with any kind of lack of respect such as racism, attacks on the lgtbi+ ( . . . ). Aria and I have pretty similar ways of thinking.

āYeahā¦ yeah , call him.ā
James circles their arms around Steve , blushing darker with each kiss ā and returning the one to their lips with a small smile .
āFinallyā¦ Iāve wanted a weekend with you for years .ā
Not moving away from them a single inch, Steve uses his left hand to grab the phone in a pocket of his gray sweatpants to type Tony's number from heart, keeping his forehead rested on the flesh shoulder of his boyfriend. Surprisingly, Stark doesn't deny the petition Ā āĀ Ā he might have taken him on a good day Ā ā. Hanging up the call, the captain leaves the phone on the nearest counter.

āOn it , Cap.ā
James teases , setting the flowers down gently along with his coat . Then turning to find a lighter for the candle and the bottle of wine . He wonders just how much planning Steve did for all thisā¦
āHey Stevie?ā he asks.
As he walks into the kitchen, Steve wears a pair of heat proof gloves to take the moussaka out of the oven and put it onto the wooden cutting board on the counter. It smells so good that he can't even believe he has made it. The captain is getting used to the cooking stuff being integrated into his life, he doesn't complain though, although sometimes he has to clean real messes.
į
į
į
į
ā Ā Uh, yeah? Ā ā
Removing the gloves from his hands, Steve turns around on his feet towards the soldier, carrying a huge satisfied smile on his curved lips.

Bucky looked down at the pillow in his hands before tossing it onto the bed and following Steve. He had noticed his bag earlier but didnāt say anything about it, figuring whatever Steve put in there wasnāt really his business. Though he was curious.Ā
į
He furrowed his brow at the sight of the book, wondering for a second if it was some type of storybook before realizing it was a notebook. No, not just a notebook- it was a sketchbook.Ā An image passed through his mind of Steveās hands, much smaller, scratching shapes in a ratty old book that was all but falling apart.Ā
į
He looked back up, taking in his friendās body language, which seemed nervous. He didnāt like that, his protective instincts blaring. He may not remember everything, but he knew making sure Steve Rogers was okay had always been a top priority.Ā āI remember that. You drawing.ā He walked past him towards the couch, putting a, what he hoped was comforting, hand on his back as he passed.Ā
į
Sitting back against the couch, he listened to Steveās explanation. He found himself eager to know what images the book held inside- whether or not it helped his memories. He wanted to know about their time together, what they did for fun, the things they got up to that formed a bond strong enough to break through decades of brain washing.Ā āYeah, can I- will you show me? I want to see.ā
He's not really surprised about the fact that Bucky remembers him drawing, he used to do it all the timeĀ Ā ā Ā but, of course, his skills have greatly improved Ā ā. Ā Still somewhat dubious, Steve hands him the sketchbook.
į
į
į
į
ā Ā I also wan'ya to keep it. I, uh . . . I ain' gonna lie, Buck, I never lost the hope of giving it to you one day. Ā ā
Deep down his heart, the captain always had the hint that they'd met again somehow. And, even if finding him took him by surprise, he knew that things would change much more than he could have ever expected.
Opening the sketchbook by the first page, the soldier can find a drawing of two kids playing outside in the streets. That was the day they met. Sarah worked with Winnifred for a couple of weeks and they both thought that, even if Steve used to be sick all the time for different illnesses, they'd be a great pair of friends. Mothers are never wrong.

Mj gave him a look and rolled her eyes.Ā āNo.ā She said simply- she never really had bedtime stories read to her- her mom never did itā¦ and her only did it a few time before he died...
āJust couldnāt sleep..ā She said softly.Ā āCouldnāt turn my brain off so I was up reading and I heard the punching bag shaking.ā She stated.Ā āKnew you probably could use some company.ā ā¦ She could use the company new.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā But Mj never often admitted when she needed comfort. It was hard for her to ask - what would she say? and what would she ask for? Mj didnāt really know what she wanted or needed from Steve. Just being near him already gave her a little bit of comfort.Ā
The fact that she can't sleep either doesn't worry him at all. He knows how it feels so, why push her? Almost finishing the pie in two bites, still focused on her response, Steve shakes his hands clean before rubbing the lasts crumbs out of his palms against his sweatpants.Ā
Company. No, he doesn't want company in moments like those where he's in a constant fight with his head, but he isn't going to kick her out Ā ā Ā especially after taking her time to bring some food for him with the clear intention of comforting him Ā ā.
į
į
į
į
ā Ā Have ya' ever hit one of these? Ā ā
The question leaves his mouth without even thinking about it, but at least, sounds fun. Passing MJ away towards the bench, Steve grabs a pair of clean black bandages.

į
ā Ā Gimme your hands, little Rocky. Gonna show ya some moves. Ā ā

āHey Steve, i can do it.ā Bucky said quickly as Steve got up and hurried to the kitchen before Bucky himself got up from the floor and quickly walked after the other. Tea usually made everything better but right now he wasnāt all to sure if he wanted Steve to handle boiling hot water. He really didnāt like the thunder at all but for better or worse, the brainwashing had helped him at least keep it under the surface when around people at the very least. But alone? He wouldnāt do much better than Steve.
āLetās go for the apple one.ā Bucky sigh as he put an hand on Steveās shoulder before turning the other man so he was facing Bucky. āHeyā¦. Youāre here with me, weāre in New york, weāre not back in Germany. Weāre far away. Itās okay Steve.ā He said calmly as he focused the normally rather eerie stare at Steve. Bucky really had the defenition of a thousand yard stare which probably wasnāt the most comforting but right now? Anything was better than the thunder.
For the first time in years Ā ā Ā many, many years Ā ā Ā Steve feels useless. The simple task of taking an easy decision such as picking a flavor for their tea is making his brain collapse. Why does he have the urge to start crying? Why does he feel so scared his hands can't stop shaking? Gulping a huge knot within his throat, the captain nods at the other handing him the different small boxes.
He nods a few times when he's brought to reality as the soldier's hands are placed on his shoulders, raising his eyes towards the clearer ones. He's there, in Brooklyn. The war ended almost seventy years ago. They have a new life now. Everything is better now.
But then, why does he feel like that? Why's his mind playing dirty at this point? Maybe it's just stress. Maybe he needs some holidays like Natasha said the last time they met.
į
į
į
į
ā Ā Apple is fine. Ā ā
He murmurs, drawing a fleeting smile that barely curves his lips for a second right before puckering them.

ā Hey,Ā Cap. āĀ Ā TonyāsĀ beenĀ lookingĀ forĀ himĀ mostĀ ofĀ theĀ day.Ā ItĀ wasĀ neverĀ normallyĀ thisĀ difficultĀ toĀ trackĀ downĀ CaptainĀ AmericaĀ whenĀ heĀ neededĀ him,Ā especiallyĀ becauseĀ heĀ wasĀ soĀ willingĀ toĀ helpĀ orĀ wasĀ alreadyĀ helpingĀ somebodyĀ whenĀ heĀ searchedĀ forĀ him.Ā ButĀ todayĀ thatĀ clearlyĀ wasnātĀ goingĀ toĀ beĀ theĀ case.Ā
HeādĀ goneĀ toĀ theĀ compoundĀ firstĀ butĀ heĀ wasĀ nowhereĀ toĀ beĀ seen.Ā NobodyĀ seemedĀ toĀ knowĀ whereĀ heĀ wasĀ whichĀ madeĀ itĀ allĀ theĀ moreĀ concerningĀ toĀ Tony.Ā ItĀ wasnātĀ likeĀ him.Ā NowĀ itĀ wasĀ lessĀ aĀ caseĀ ofĀ thinkingĀ heādĀ finallyĀ runĀ offĀ andĀ moreĀ aĀ caseĀ ofĀ worryingĀ thatĀ somethingĀ hadĀ happenedĀ toĀ him.Ā Ā
NormallyĀ heĀ wouldĀ neverĀ dreamĀ ofĀ showingĀ upĀ atĀ theĀ CaptaināsĀ ownĀ home,Ā butĀ TonyĀ wasĀ outĀ ofĀ optionsĀ andĀ nowĀ heĀ wasĀ aĀ worriedĀ friend.Ā NowĀ justĀ aĀ teamĀ mate.Ā Ā
WhenĀ noĀ answerĀ cameĀ fromĀ theĀ frontĀ door,Ā heĀ triedĀ theĀ handleĀ andĀ toĀ hisĀ surpriseĀ heĀ walkedĀ rightĀ in.Ā Ā
ā Rogers? āĀ Ā Nothing.Ā HeĀ keptĀ walkingĀ andĀ thenĀ madeĀ hisĀ wayĀ outĀ backĀ whenĀ heĀ finallyĀ caughtĀ sightĀ ofĀ theĀ familiarĀ figureĀ sitingĀ outsideĀ inĀ theĀ yard.Ā Ā ā ThereĀ youĀ are.Ā AreĀ youĀ tryingĀ toĀ giveĀ meĀ aĀ heartĀ attack? ā
WhenĀ SteveĀ doesnātĀ immediatelyĀ respondĀ TonyĀ movesĀ closerĀ andĀ thenĀ sitsĀ himselfĀ downĀ besideĀ himĀ silentlyĀ observingĀ theĀ otherĀ manĀ untilĀ heĀ finallyĀ breaksĀ theĀ silenceĀ betweenĀ them.Ā Ā ā Hey,Ā areĀ youĀ okay?Ā IāveĀ beenĀ lookingĀ everywhereĀ forĀ you. āĀ
Bowing his head down, Steve stares at the content of his mug as if it's the most interesting thing he has ever witnessed. The truth is that he's trying to contain his crying as much as he can. He's not the kind of man who thinks that doesn't have the right to cry, or that that could make his masculinity disappear Ā ā Ā that's bullshit Ā ā. Ā He just doesn't want to feel sad, but he misses his mother more than any other thing from his past.
So lost in his own thoughts, Steve doesn't notice Tony's presence until he hears something about a heart attack, quickly pushing him back to reality as he raises his crystal eyes towards the genius. Standing up as he drinks from the mug to pretend everything is okay and hide a sniff, the captain shrugs his shoulders slightly, shaking his head.
į
į
į
į
ā Ā Yeah, yeah, I, uh . . . y'know, some times alone doesn't hurt anyone, right? 'M fine, just having tea and staring at the sky. Ā ā
He's really praying for anything he knows for Tony to not ask what's going on, why his lower lip trembles, nor why he looks like a lost, beaten puppy.

Just as Mj was about to prepare her words of attack. Steve beat her to itā¦.
Mjās eyes widened - she felt the blood rush hot through her body. Truly, she wasnāt to surprised Steve took the initiative but she really hopped he wouldnāt have. Mj covered her mouth in shockā¦ she lowered her hands felt her fists clench. Her coworkers froze as well as the patrons in the bar and stared.Ā
A part of her was grateful Steve stepped inā¦ sheās never had someone so attentive and protective of her. But goddamn itā¦ She told him not too..Ā
āSteve!ā Mj didnāt yell. But her voice was strong and forceful. What was happeningā¦ her eyes were starting to swell up with tearsā¦. she was embarrassed.
The men did as Steve said and dropped cash on the table.Ā āk-keep the change.ā She mumbled and the stumbled and rushed out.Ā
Mj froze a moment looking at the cash on the counter and then looked to Steve. She was trying her damned hardest to not have those tears fall down her face. She didnāt need to deal with that too. Her co-workers stared at her and at Steve. Mj walked out from behind the bar to Steve.Ā āPlease leave and Iāll meet you outside.ā She said trying to not have her voice break. A tear fell and she quickly whipped it away. Not looking at Steve she continued her Job.
She took the cash and cleaned up the empty glasses on the counter and started to settled up the tab on the till.
One of her co-workers came up to her.Ā āThat was Captain America.ā She girl said stars-trucked.Ā
āYeah.ā Mj replied trying to focus on what she was doing on the till.Ā
āWowā¦Ā Ok that was intense - is he liked your dad or something?ā
Immediately Mj felt her body tense up. She felt her heart beating in her chest. Father. That word held a lot of baggage. āNo. Heās not my fucking dad.ā She walking passed her and cleaning up what was left of the tasks. The feeling of loss and abandonment settled into her stomach. Her feelings were too strong her her to understand this but It sometimes scared Mj how much Steve loved her. And how much she loved him. How much he caredā¦
Mj went to the back room to collect her things before clocking out and meeting Steve outsideā¦.
It's not until the guy obeys Steve's requests that he lets him go, shaking his own hands together with a huge, satisfied smirk plastered on his face. A gesture that suddenly fades away when his eyes meet MJ's. She's so disappointed that is scaring him. Well, maybe his reaction has been a little, little exaggerated ā Ā he could have asked politelyĀ Ā ā Ā but that's the only way men like those can understand and learn how to treat people. Licking his lips as his nostrils beat open a couple of times, Steve ends up nodding his head just one time with a puckered mouth. He has fucked up her night, but, what she was expecting? Him staying silent, sat on his chair? Not even in a thousand lives.
į
į
į
į
ā Ā Yes, ma'am. Ā ā
He only replies with a thin thread of voice, not sure if she has heard him, right before leaving once he's paid for his drink and left some good tip Ā ( Ā of course Ā ). Ā Once the main door to the bar is closed behind his back, the captain crosses the road to his bike parked in front of the place to take a seat on it. He doesn't know how much will she last till finishing her shift, but for sure Steve will wait for her.
Minutes. It takes her minutes to leave the bar, hoping she hasn't been fired because of his behavior. Standing up with a regretful sight in his eyes, Steve keeps his hands inside the pocket of his jeans. He doesn't even know what to say besides how sorry he is and his true intentions, preferring to stay in silence and turn the floor over her now.

She heard Steve stand and close the door, but that hadnāt been what sheād meant. She was sure that Steve wasnāt the only one looking for her, SWORD were likely on her tail and she didnāt put it past them to tap Steveās phone for any sort of lead. She leaned on the wooden wall of the phonebox, peering out of the plastic window panes to the empty village around her.
Wanda listened as he apologised for not being there, for forgetting her. āYeah, thatās a lot of that going around.ā She muttered darkly. Not only had Steve vanished, Clint had gone back to his real, proper family. All the Avengers had returned to their real families and not just the family that they pretended the Avengers was, leaving Wanda whoād had no one but them.
She swallowed the bitterness on her tongue. āSteve, thatās not my home anymore. Whatever home I had in New York was blown to Hell.ā It seemed to be a theme with the places she called home.Ā āAnd I canāt be safe there anymore with SWORD wanting my head.ā She added.
After a pause, she spoke again.Ā āAnd neither can you.ā She added, tears forming slightly in her eyes.Ā āLook, Steve, I canāt be around people right now. You know what happened, I canāt risk that happening to anyone else. I have to get a hold of myself, alone.ā She tried to be firm even though she was sure that Steve would not accept this deal.
Steve hears every single word she utters, noticing at any moment the tone of her voice Ā ā Ā guilt, sadness, remorse Ā ā, not focused on anything else even if his eyes are glued to the huge, large glasses forming the office he's been reclused in. Nailing an elbow on the desk, onto the maps he drew to not use any kind of technology Ā ( Ā or limit the use to the minimum Ā ), Ā the captain rests his chin on the palm of his hand. God, she's so stubborn that her words make him sigh and roll his eyes. Good point: he's a man of absolute certainties.
į
į
į
į
ā Ā Listen to me, Wanda. I am back. I have the shield back, and I ain't lettin' anyone lay a finger on you, 'aight? The government, SWORD, what's left from SHIELD Ā ā Ā d'you think they wanna fight against me? 'Course not. So, lemme help, please. 'M the only one who can protect you right now, we will sort this out together. There's no way 'm leaving you alone again Ā ā Ā no way. Ā ā
He's desperate, of course, he is. Steve has looked at her with the same shiny eyes he'd look at his young sister. And he felt desolated when he knew about the horrifying news. People around them tend to forget that, at the end of the day, she's nothing but a scared kidĀ who has lost any single thing she has ever loved.

@defectivexfragmented Ā ā®
Steve has spent the last hour reading the file about Daredevil and watching some impressive footage of different cameras around the city. His skills are mind-blowing. He hasn't ever heard about him before, but sure he did about Matthew Michael Murdock ā the man hidden behind the red mask ā. The most surprising thing about him, besides being some kind of lawyer ( the captain hasn't reached that part to properly know what he does ), is that this guy is blind. As he can read, Matt lost his sight when he was just a kid after an incident with radioactive material, as the file doesn't specify how that happens, he'll think about the āwrong place, wrong timeā. That doesn't stop him from becoming a crime-fighter, in the court and on the streets though. Steve doesn't know him personally, but he admires him more than he admires anyone at this point. And better say it's not because of his lack of sight, but because he couldn't be one person during the day and a completely different one when the night falls above the city. He's tired just by imagining it.
The captain isn't wondering himself any more about why Stark wants him so badly to join them. Not as an avenger, because they're not them anymore, but to his group of weird people as the genius calls them all ā including himself ā. And that's his job now, find Matt and try to convince him to be part of them. Steve is conscious that he's a lone wolf and that it takes him more time than with others, but he'd be a good hire.
It's raining in New York, in fact, they're under a tornado warning, and, yes, Steve would prefer to stay in the safe and comfortable Compound instead of leaving to tour a neighborhood ( or whatever Hell's Kitchen is considered ) he has never been to before. Someone has to do the job, right? This time, at least, he isn't wearing his blue dark uniform, nor carrying the shield ; he doesn't think it's necessary. In the end, they're just going to talk about Stark's new initiative.
Preferring this time to drive a car instead of his bike, for more than obvious reasons, Steve leaves the facilities by the back entrance, heading to the main hallway that connects with the city. He doesn't need to use the navigation, but being the prime time of people leaving their places to work, he's indeed going to use it to find the fastest way to arrive at his destination. And he reaches it in less time than expected, turning to be closer than he thought.
