According to Salt Lake City’s Fox 13, arresting documents describe a child climbing out of a window and running to a neighbor’s home to ask for food and water. The neighbor noticed that the child had duct tape on their wrists and ankles and called the police. Another child was found at the home the first one escaped from, which belongs to Franke’s business partner and therapist Jodi Hildebrandt.

Viewers of “8 Passengers” and investigative vloggers have flagged Franke’s concerning behavior around feeding and withholding food from her children for a long time. In one video, Franke brags about not feeding her kids breakfast until they do their chores, despite them being “literally starving.” In another, Franke explains the reasoning behind not bringing her hungry 6-year-old lunch at school, because it’s actually the kid’s responsibility to pack her own lunch. It’s all deranged.

Why do people that hate kids ever have kids? And why do they have such strong urges to share their evil with others? I guess it’s…ATTENTION and MONEY.

One can’t help but notice the unfortunate pattern of Youtubers or parenting influencers on any platform who’ve compromised their children’s wellbeing. Remember Myka Stauffer, who “rehomed” her adopted child with special needs in 2020? Or the “FamilyofFive” parents, who were convicted of child abuse in 2017 for the elaborate and cruel “pranks” they pulled on their children? The parenting choices these people made are upsetting enough, but their incessant need to capitalize off of them for content at their children’s expense is horrific.

I know SEVERAL afab nonbinary people who, as soon as they came out as nonbinary - immediately began dressing in ridiculous hyper-femme outfits they never would have worn before.  A lot of people see this and say shit like “Theyfab” or say they are only nonbinary for attention.  After all, look how femme they are.

But to me, this makes perfect sense.  When you are forced into the category of “woman” against your will, femininity is a chore.  It’s a job that you have.  As soon as you say no, I’m not a woman, suddenly femininity isn’t your job anymore.  It’s not a requirement.  It’s just a fun hobby you can get into.  Or a little treat sometimes.

Rich is 'arrived by way of their private jet', is 'dropped $500k on a submarine ticket', is '$500 is a rounding error'.

'$500 dollars for a nine day event they must all be rich white people' no you reactionary rotten potato that is actually an entirely reasonable price for an entirely normal person to pay for an annual event! $500 over the course of a year is approximately equivalent to one big takeout a month! Being able to afford that doesn't make you rich it makes you probably not poor! The 'rich or poor' narrative is a false dichotomy that completely excludes the fact that 'richness' or 'poorness' is a SCALE! It's not fucking categorical! You don't one day magically flip a switch and go from 'poor' to 'rich' or vice versa you see incremental changes over time! Wealth distribution is a (these days, admittedly, rather wonky) motherfucking BELL CURVE! . The fact that capitalism is driving more and more people to either extreme of said curve is just evidence of a broken system, but it doesn't change the fact that most people should have a decent amount of disposable income!

The fact that many people don't have said disposable income doesn't magically make the ones that do 'rich' it makes everyone else poor. And the people at fault for the massive and growing percentage of people living below the poverty line are not the ones managing to stay above it, it's the fault of the actually rich, the ones stealing our time and our health and our wages and our future in pursuit of a number on a screen. And the rich are the only people you're helping by hating the people struggling slightly less than you.

When it comes time to 'eat the rich' you're going to be murdering dentists and librarians and scientists while the actually rich point and laugh from a safe distance as you solve their problems for them.

Just throwing my voice out there. I want queer rep in a marvel film. Like I get it's a fucking Disney property. But I want representation, even if it's bad and bland. I want my life to be normalized. All the straight romance in these films are shit but straight people don't seem to mind. I want that for myself and all queers lol

Also I love big dumb action films and I love high quality films, I want queer shit in both.

sorry but who actually wants gay rep in marvel movies. like who wants to see that. who tf wants to see two bland and utterly sexless characters in cgi clothing who communicate entirely through snappy one liners fall in what can generously be described as Love just bc they're lesbians this time. gay rep in a marvel film would be the cinematic equivalent of an Old Navy Pride Month Collection. I hate to say it but even the general concept of being gay would be polluted if there was a gay lead in a marvel film. being gay wouldn't be cool anymore if there was a gay lead in a marvel film. is that what you want? for being gay to not be cool anymore? I hope every marvel character is straight forever

But in the US in many cities the chief of police is beholden to the city council (or similar governing body) that is voted into position by citizens. So start the fight there. Go to you city council meeting, read your local news papers, and vote. Demand more training for cops, demand removal of a shitty chiefs, demand cops be held accountable. Bad cops are the symptom of the disease of shitty/uncaring government.

I’m seeing things on twitter about how an Iron Widow musical would go, and now I can’t stop thinking about it:

The opening song is Yang Guang’s power song, featuring epic costumes of the chrysalises. The other pilots are the chorus.

Then we get Zetian’s ‘girl in a small village’ song with a few lines from Yizhi which transitions into a vengence song as she goes off to be a concubine.

A reprise of Yang Guang’s power song, but this time instead of a backing chorus of the other pilots, the chorus is young women, dressed as concubines. Every young woman he’s ever killed, and it’s haunting. Then out of the crowd steps Zetian, there’s a back and forth between them as they fight, until she takes over Yang Guang’s song completely, killing him at the climax.

The next song is called Welcome To Your Nightmare. It’s short and badass, and ends with Zetian being dragged offstage.

During Zetian and Shimin’s failed attempts to reach Ascended form, they keep singing over each other and it feels like a fight. The lyrics and harmonies have gaps, like they’re missing something. When Yizhi joins them and they reach Ascended form, we find out what’s missing: the song should actually be in three part harmony, and Yizhi sings the missing lines. Everything falls together perfectly.

This song gets reprised every time members of the Iron Triangle kiss, but there isn’t a full reprise until Yizhi and Shimin kiss and the triangle is complete. By this stage it’s not just a fight song, it’s a love song.

I keep seeing people push back against fandoms insistent of headcannoning characters as LGBTQ+ or mentally ill or some other group. And I partially get it, like your finally getting the representation you rarely get and someone headcannons the character in some way to make it more palatable/relatable to their experience and ignore/overwrite the cannon representation.

But on the other hand, it sometimes feels like we are playing the "who's suffered worse" game. Yes this is about Encanto.

To elaborate, I'll talk about Bruno. His behavior is seen as OCD by some. And the argument is, no that's just normal superstition. Well, here's the thing, superstition can be a form of OCD just like religion. Religion OCD is pretty well known in the OCD community and as someone with it, I just look a "normal" amount of religious when it very much isn't. So I guess what I'm trying to say here, is I dont understand why the headcannon is bad, but I do see a problem with how it somehow became his defining character trait????

I think something a lot of people don’t understand about Isabela and the golden child/scapegoat dynamic is that being the golden child is, in itself, a form of abuse that is has a whole thing about keeping them emotionally separated from the scapegoat, and that acknowledging Isabela did not have free will over her life or happiness at all in being the golden child regardless of the attention she was showered in does not take away from what Mirabel endured.
