Let’s talk Concealer!!!
I've only used one concealer ever since started wearing makeup. So I’m a little bias. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I use Make Up Forever Full Cover Waterproof in number 14. It’s amazing. I started wearing it when I got this huge bump on my face that I decide to pop. The worse idea ever, it left a big scar on my right cheek. I was so paranoid that all people saw was my scar. It was one of the reasons I started wearing makeup. I went to Sephora five years ago desperate to find something to cover the huge blemish. The sales associate was nice and recommended that concealer for me. I used it and let’s say the rest was history. Till this day I only use Make Up Forever concealer. It blends with my foundations and it does it’s job it covers up my blemishes. After that debacle I started taking care of my skin to the point it's pretty clear and I hardly need to use a concealer, but one a pesky little pimple comes out of the woodwork I use my concealer. I definitely recommend this concealer to anyone that has blemish issues and scar issues. Go to your nearest Sephora and try it. Go fir a color match as well so you can get the best shade for your skin tone.

Review Time
This review is going to be short. My laptop needs repairs and I'm having trouble posting a long lengthy review with this kindle. Each picture is solely of the lipstick with no liner. The possibilities with lip liners are endless don't be afraid to experiment.
NYX Soft Matte Cream Prague
It's a highly pigmented color. It's described as a matte merlot. It looks like a dark pink with purplish hues on a lighter skin tone. I'm a little dark so it looks pink on me. It's subtle and not a traditional bright pink. It retails at $6. That's why l like it, NYX provides affordable cosmetics. Here’s a picture of me wearing it.

Ka’oir Gorgeous lipstick
Ka’oir Gorgeous is highly pigmented as well. It's a dark fuchsia pink with a satin finish. It’s a color any skin tone can wear. You can wear it during the day and at night. It retails for $15.99 at kaoir.com. I think the name says it all, it’s a gorgeous color. Here’s a picture with me in Ka’oir Gorgeous.

Fashion Break
A little fashion break from the two long entries I posted today. Fashion break features Angela Simmons. I love the look for fall, winter, and early spring when it's still chilly in the east coast. A pop of color on her shoes and clutch. You can go wrong with leather skinny jeans it dresses up the most casual look.

Skincare Regimen
Makeup is God's gift to the world lol, as much as I love makeup, skincare is more essential. If your skin is great it doesn't matter if you have top of the line makeup products on, it will still show. Now if you take care of your skin it doesn't matter how expensive your makeup is; you will look flawless. I've been blessed with pretty decent skin but along the way I've taken advantage of that and it would show. Whether you have normal, oily, dry, sensitive, or combination skin as long as you do your research and take care of your skin you can achieve flawlessness. It's working with what you have. If you have dry skin you want use products that target that and keep you moisturized throughout the day. A humidifier helps as well in your room. If you have sensitive skin you want to look out for the ingredients in products that causes irritation. Everyone is different so it's hard to say what ingredients irritate your skin, so you should  use more natural, organic products, or you can make your own cleansers, exfoliating scrub, masks with fruits, honey, oatmeal, and etc. Someone with oily skin must avoid products that contain oil. You can use alcohol based products to help dry the skin to combat oil but you don't want to go overboard. Over drying your skin can lead to more oil too, I know it is weird. Use products that tailor to oily skin and you can go the organic route as well just do research first. As for combination skin that's tough. "Basically, those with combination skin need products that don’t make matters worse. It is critical to only use well-formulated products designed for the mix of skin types you’re dealing with. In some cases that can mean using different products on different parts of your face. For example, you may need lighter-weight gels, liquids, or oil-absorbing products for your T-zone and lotions or creams for the drier parts of your face. Or it could mean using an acne treatment over areas where you breakout and moisturizers only over drier areas, including around the eyes." Quote about combination skin taken from Paula's Choice website. Click on the link for more info. (http://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/combination-skin/_/all-about-combination-skin)
It's about understanding your skin type and trial/error. More facts to achieve healthy looking skin is drinking lots of water, sleeping eight hours a night, eating veggies and fruits, avoiding too much greasy foods. Avoids foods that causes breakouts like chocolate and dairy. We are what we eat so we have to have a good diet; it will show. Exercise helps as well and multivitamin supplements such as Fish oil pills,  Biotin, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E oil. If you have oily skin I would say avoid Vitamin E oil and take supplements in pill form instead. You need to wash your face in the morning and evening. DO NOT USE soap bars, they are the worst. They dry out your skin. Use gentle cleansers that tailor to your skin type. Keep skin moisturized with a moisturizer that tailors to your skin type. You need exfoliate once or twice a week. I exfoliate once a week it's up to you and your preference. Exfoliating is a essential; it picks up the dirt that clogs pores that aren't picked up when you cleanse daily. Facial masks are optional but it doesn't hurt. It helps skin look healthy and many masks have vitamins and nutrients. Masks also help keep the skin tight, so I recommend them. If you choose to use a mask, you can use it everyday, three, times a week, twice a week, or once a week. It's how much time you want to dedicate to your skin. Again there are so many in the market, I suggest doing research and again find one what caters to your skin type. Eye creams are optional as well. I recommend them if you have dark circles or under your eyes look dull. I highly recommend night creams especially if you opt out on getting a mask. Night creams help firm skin as well. Toners are optional as well but I highly recommend because they take out excess dirt in skin and minimize the appearance of pores. Another necessity is makeup remover wipes and waterproof eye/overall makeup remover. NEVER sleep with makeup on, if you are too lazy, tired, or a little drunk to remove the makeup lol the wipes come in handy. You can use them too, if you have no makeup and just too lazy to do the night routine as well.
I have normal skin with occasional oil on my T Zone mostly in the summer or if I use products that don't work for me. Here's what my regimen looks like. I've recently updated my skincare regimen. I used to use Neutrogena facial soap bars along with my Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. I stopped using the facial bars after doing research. I changed my exfoliating scrub from Aveeno to Tatcha. You want use gentle scrubs no matter your skin type it will irritate you if it's to harsh. So STAY AWAY from St. Ives scrubs they are horrible for your skin. My Aveeno scrub was gentle but the Tatcha is even more gentler it's powder that you mix with an oil. It's pricey and I bought it at Sephora. So I will use both when I run out of Tatcha I will use the Aveeno. I added a facial mask to my routine. So far I like the results and the mask I use is Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask, it can be purchased at Sephora as well, but it's pricey too. It's $58. There are so many mask on the market so do research and you can find one along your price range. Other than the changes I made the rest of my skin care routine has been the same. I've been using the Fresh Soy Face cleanser for two years now, Origins Ginzing Refreshing eye cream for a year, Olay moisturizers for 3+ plus years. I switch up my toners depending if there is a sale or not. As long as the toner is Alcohol free or at least 99% free. Same goes for makeup remover wipes what's on sale and has more sheets in the package. A complete list of product names and prices are listed below.

Too Faced Melted Lipstick Pt 2
I'm finally posting part 2 of my Too Faced Melted lipstick review. I tried on all the colors I purchased, overall I am satisfied. There are some colors that are highly pigmented and some need a little help with a liner or another lipstick. I will be reviewing the Melted Coral and Melted Berry colors. There will be a part 3 to this review, I never reviewed my original Melted lipsticks. Those colors are Melted Violet and Melted Fuchsia. Now that I got that out of the way back to the review. I was so excited for Melted Coral color. I'm obsessed with coral lipsticks, there are great for all year round. You can rock them in the spring and summer with a liner similar to the color and it's like a bright pop of color, while in the winter you can manipulate them to look more neutral with a brownish liner to make the lipstick look not as bright and more on the nude side. It's beneficial to invest in a good coral lipstick. However coral lipsticks are hard, two main problems the pigments or finding the right color for your complexion. As a black woman, I'm not dark skin or light skin, I'm somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of beautiful black complexions. With that being said I took a risk to purchase the Melted Coral color. The color wasn't too washed out for my complexion it wasn't scary, but it looked more like a gloss. There was barely pigment, so I was bummed. It was fine for my complexion but it looked like lip gloss instead of a lipstick, so I added MAC Sushi Kiss to it which is another coral lipstick I own. Mac Sushi Kiss is on the light and bright coral side. So you have manipulate that lipstick depending on your complexion. Once I added the Sushi Kiss there was more pigment. So I was somewhat disappointed. I wasn't completely bummed out, out of 5 Melted Lipsticks only 1 wasn't so great. I can always play around with it and mix it with other colors, so it's not a complete lost cause. Here's a pic of Melted Coral alone (top picture) and Melted Coral mixed with MAC Sushi Kiss (bottom picture).

Now I will be reviewing Melted Berry. Melted Berry is another color I'm pleased with, the color is rich and nicely pigmented. The picture I will post is of the lipstick itself. I can't wait to see how it will look when I play around with other lipsticks and liners on it. The color on me looks like a dark pink, I'm pretty sure on a lighter person it looks more red. As I said earlier it is a great by itself but you can always manipulate it with liners or other lipcolors, that's why I love makeup, you an do whatever you want. The picture below is Melted Berry on me.

I'll be posting part 3 soon, review of Melted Violet, Melted Fuchsia, and the overall review of Too Faced Melted lipsticks based on all the colors I have. So be sure to check it out.

Too Faced Melted Continued....
The lipstick is on the pricey side. It's $21.00. I thought it was worth it. You can find it at Sephora stores and their website or Too Faced Website. I recommend going to a Sephora store first and then try the lipstick for yourself, and make the decision to purchase it or not. Sephora might not have all the shades yet in store; I still think try out the shades they do carry in store, and make your decision from there.

Ok, so I originally bought two shades from the Too Faced Melted lipstick line. I had the Melted Fuchsia and Violet. I thought two great shades for the summer. So I decided to try the line out and the colors and I was hooked. This lipstick is glossy and has staying power, didn't have to reapply, but because I am a little OCD, I can't help but to do so. Anyway fast forward to winter, I found out they were coming out with some new shades. One shade in particular that caught my eye was Melted Villain. It's a really dark goth like purple. My new obsession these days is really dark lipstick. It was finally available to order on 01/14/15 so I jumped at the chance, literally I ordered it at like 2 AM in the morning. The kicker was I had to spend about $50 for free shipping; so what did I do; I bought two more shades. I purchased Melted Berry and Melted Coral as well. So far I wore Melted Villain and I loved it and received many compliments for it. I have yet to try Berry or Coral but I will and write a full review later. I am very pleased with Too Faced Melted Lipstick line, I started swearing off lipstick with any type of shine or gloss. I was trying to stick with Matte but Too Faced got me to appreciate the glossy finish again. Another thing I appreciate is you don't need a liner, kudos to Too Faced am I a Fan. Can't you tell? :)
