New comic strip! Took me a year to finish it, just like a lot of things in my life. Yes, it’s full of personal meaning :).

It was made during my spare time, usually past midnight, before the dawn.

I’m just glad that everything ends, no matter how good or bad they might be. Quoting Garbage: the trick is to keep breathing.

We had a Secret Santa at work, and here’s my gift for Rafael Gimenes, who loves cats, space and purple. I liked the result so much that decided to turn it into a GIF. It’s my first time using Photoshop for animation, and it was pretty nice.

STALKER

I was invited to participate in a collab called Posterlab 70′s, to celebrate the most important movies made in the 70′s, organized by Rafa Miqueleto and Sérgio Marcon.

My role was to create a poster for STALKER, by Andrei Tarkovsky. I confess I was quite afraid I wouldn’t like the movie, but a friend of mine convinced it was a great idea. She was absolutely right. I LOVE this movie, and will do more posters about it. I love whe story, the idea, discussions, photography, actors, the silence...everything. It’s the kind of movie that stays with you. Here’s the first of the series, hope you like it :). ----------

Fui convidada a participar da incrível collab Posterlab 70's Emoticon smile, e este é meu tributo ao fodástico filme Сталкер (Stalker), do Tarkovsky.Confesso que logo que peguei o filme (via sorteio e troca), não sabia o que esperar e estava um tanto quanto receosa. Com o incentivo daHeloisa Yoshioka, aceitei o desafio. Foi a melhor idéia. Linda fotografia, tratamento de cores, os atores, os conflitos morais, o silêncio das cenas...tudo tudo tudo. Me apaixonei tanto, que farei mais 3 pôsters.Agradecimentos especiais ao Rafa Miqueleto e Sérgio Marcon pelo convite e organização exemplares. Foi um prazer, obrigada!

Nurse and Patient

Cancelled comic project. I have other priorities at the moment, and unfortunately this is not one of them :(.

When I first drew it, I ad no plan, no script or no objective in mind, simply drawing for the pleasure of it. Later, it was tranfered to the PC, where I studied more about composition, color comps and light effects.

Not to mention the fact that there is a nurse, a hospital and patients...this is enough for me to love it.

Este é um projeto de quadrinho online que cancelei por tempo indeterminado. Existem outros projetos que já estão em andamento e são prioridade, esse ficou para trás :(.

Quando desenhei no papel, fiz tudo solto, sem marcação nenhuma, sem roteiro e nem objetivo. Foi pelo puro prazer da criação. Quando transferi para o PC, decidi manter o mesmo tamanho de quadrinho, e estudar diferentes composições, uso de luz e acabamento. Sem contar que tem uma enfermeira, hospital e pacientes...isso já basta pra ser legal de trabalhar em cima. Tem mais balões de fala, mas a fala mais importante já está presente.

"Unfortunately, even in these days, girls are still subject to mocking and disbelief when they admit to liking Videogames. When a girl says she likes a game in particular, lots of guys make fun of her, saying her passion is not big enough and question the depth of her knowledge, her playing skills. And hardly a man goes through the same "questioning", after all just for being born a male he surely knows his games."

Personal work. I've been quite busy, and this drawing was just a warm up putting together things that I like a lot, like funeral art, mummies, horns and botanical illustrations. I liked it so much that decided to test some colors. Couldn't decide which one pleased my the most, so here are them both.

Jill Valentine

I was invited to be part of Girl Power Collab, where female illustrators had to portrait an important female character from either books, games or animation. My job was to show Jill Valentine's amazing skills to be in danger!

I'm a die hard fan of the series, so it was a great time working on this, and I feel blessed to be able to work with so many talented girls.

O MIOLO FRITO #2

If I had to translate, the name O Miolo Frito would be something like "deep fried brain", hence the brains in the poster.
