Here are some of my blockmates way back in college. Still good that we are still friends even though I’m not really really close to them. Hahaha.  I wasn’t a member of the (then not yet coined, so I assume they were the precursor… advance thinking, men) jejemon-ish named group Althopheytz… o kung ano mang spelling nun! Dang! When did they get so old, they talk like working peeps na talaga.

I thought they weren’t really the drinking type eh… coz I’m not. Lol. Pulutan type kasi.

Thanks to Ghe’s camera with built-in Belo app. Tingin ko eh nag-eedit na agad eh.  Ang puti at ang kinis ng face ko dyan. Salamat po.

Of favoritism and frugality - Hand stitching my ripped shoes

This post is long overdue. I should’ve blogged about this 2 months ago. I wanted to believe I have this artsy-fartsy, crafty version of me that I just don’t explore much. Okay, maybe I did 3 years ago. I stopped when I ruined my bestfriend’s Gap shirt. Well, that’s another story. Anyway, I bought this silver flat shoes at Puregold about 6months ago. And for only P200!

I’ve been using this anywhere I go. I’ve noticed that the seams are starting to get ripped apart!

I thought of going to Mr.Quickie to get it repaired. But I was thinking it might cost me about 60-80 pesos just for 4 inches of stitching I could do myself! So I got my DMC yarn (I also do cross stitching! I picked the color closest to silver.) and marked a stitching guide. I don’t actually trust myself when stitching without guides. Boo me.

  And after just about 15 minutes…

When I showed this to my mom she thought that was already there. Ha, mothers. I’m so glad it turned out exactly how I wanted it. I know it’s just few stitches but I have a track record of ruining things I personalize so this one is something I must be proud of! Yey for my favorite flats and to the 80 pesos I did not spend.

What’s up Ketchup? Ako, bumo-BOAZ. Nagbubusy-busyhan sa aming Cooperative. Sali ka na. Visit mo to http://www.boaztransportcoop.com kasi ako nagtweak nung codes, tabi-tabi po sa mga programmer at sa mag-cocontrol-U dahil magulo yung codes nya. Binibigyan sila ng Passbook at doon narerecord kung magkano na ang naiipon nila. Nakakatuwang tingnan kahit P10 lang ang nilalagay nila, nakangiti sila kasi alam nilang para sa future yung ipon nila. Minsan kung iisipin, maliit na halaga lang yun, pero yung nakikita nilang lumalaki yung pera nila sa passbook, nabibigyan sila ng pag-asa at will na magtrabaho pa ng maigi dahil alam nilang may napupuntahan yung pera nila. Alam mo kung ano yung mas maganda? Dahil Coop kami, walang 20% na tax ang kukunin sa interes. Win-win diba? Bonggang bongga. Napahaba na yung sasabihin ko. Dapat eh ipoost ko lang yung picture. Susunod eh gagawa ako nung maayos-ayos na blog tungkol sa BOAZ. At kung bakit patuloy akong tumutulong dito :)

I was *this* close to being scammed

FVCK FVCK FVCK It's very tempting to shop or purchase anything online when you have money sitting on your PayPal account. I saw this website, and I was like "FVCK! Really?" because well, they promised a payout of $1250 in exchange for a $40 job fee. The registration is FREE though, and being the gullible me, I signed up. HAH! Mukha kasi akong pera haha. So, the thing is, you have to pay nga before they give you an assignment. Paniwalang paniwala ako sa mga testimonials and stuff. I'm at the page where I need to enter my PayPal password and I think that's one click away from giving out $40! Sobrang nakatitig lang ako dun sa page, weighing out the PROs and CONs. PRO: If this site is real, I'd be fvcking out of odesk, since this one pays better. CON: I'd be wasting an 8-hour work if this is a fvcking scam. Bigla kong naisip, "Lord, give me a sign please!". HAHA, parang grade schooler lang at nanghihingi ng sign kung yung crush na ba yung "the one". Feeling ko yun na yung last resort ko at nagtatalo na yung puso at isip ko. Hindi na ako makapagdecide. Anyway, going back, I typed my password. And luckily for me, it was a wrong one. PHEW! Well I guess that's the sign. I never EVER typed a wrong password in my PayPal account before since I pause for a while to recall that it's not the same as my social networking passwords, and to remember if I changed it or not. HAHA, makakalimutin kasi ako. Maybe that moment, I wasn't really using my head. That moment, I wasn't using my head. And then I realized, Google is my friend. I searched for a site or forum mentioning that website. And it's a fvcking scam, alright. I should have been more aware, since they used Comic Sans in their header. 

Lesson learned: When in doubt, use Google search.

 And another thing, anything that asks for payment before an online job is definitely a scam. Odesk is still ze best.

Seventh Heaven

Hindi ba naextend yung Chicken-all-you-can ng Max’s? Haha.

So there, last last wednesday we tried this promo at Max’s Circle nga. And good thing, we got seated right away and ordered right away. Siempre, almost all of those inside were unli-chikening eh and our main goal is to eat till we drop. Haha

Nasabi ko sa kabilang post na ‘inggitero’ ako. Haha. Sa isang set of friends ko ako lang yung naka-avail ng promo last year…considering na mahilig ako sa manok. Daig pa ako ng payatot kong friend. 

So there, gusto ko lang din malaman kung hanggang ilan ang kaya ko. May nabasa ako dito sa tumblr na either naka 7 sya or 8. Can’t remember. I will try to beat that kako. Sus.

So there, we waited for our chicken to arrive. Ang tagal ng first serving ha, and it came cold pa. As in yung unang manok namin malamig. Boo.

Buti na lang yung refills mainit na. :-) Happy.

We ordered rice din pala. Ewan, parang kasalanan kasi mamapak lang eh. Parang kulang talaga ang buhay kapag walang kanin.

So there. Happy naman ang pangangain.The only problem is that nabibitin ako. Ubos ko na yung chicken ko hindi pa dumarating yung waiter na magrerefill. Aarrgghh. Binibitin ako. Tapos yung pwesto pa namin eh mejo may ‘blind spot’, hindi kami napapansin ng nagrerefill ng chicken kaya kailangan pa naming kumaway. As for me, kumakaway talaga ako with my arms kasi bitin na eh. Sayang. Kailangang makaquota.

So there. My 6th chicken was the breast part. UGH. I hate it. Dun ako nasuya na. It is breast. walang lasa. Aarrgh. Pero kailangan ko nga makaquota so I tried another one, and was my last chicken. Naka 7 lang ako :(

Saaad. Pero okay narin, atleast kumpleto ko na ang seven days of the week. Hahaha. Busog kasi ako nung pumunta eh. We had a grand pakain from our org kasi.

Ayun, at simot hanggang buto naman lahat ng chickens ko noh.

And look at ghe. Nakadalawa lang syang Chicken. Actually, dapat isa lang yan. Nung nawala kasi sya eh pinarefillan ko na plato nya. Haha.

Our plate of bones eh walang wala sa plato ng iba. Punom puno eh.

Too bad I had only tried this once. I think I can eat more. Haha. Ayun, naka 7 lang. Ghe was pushing me to go 8 pero gusto ko pa yata mabuhay eh. Hahaha.

So one afternoon…turned into night (coz I’m really sleepy after classes), someone didn’t feel staying in her bhaus for ‘no apparent reason’ (hihihi) and decided to invite me to go to SM North EDSA just to kill time…or sort of. 

After the incident in Cyberzone, which was hurtful by the way, we decided to have dinner and chose Yoshinoya.

So there she went contemplating on the damage she had done.

Speaking of “contemplate”, it was really contemplate coz we shared with that one bowl and didn’t bother asking for another one. Hehehe, I saw what you did there.

I really wanted to try Yoshinoya coz when we first went to the States, Yoshinoya was the nearest asian establishment around my Ninang’s place. THEY SERVE RICE! It was also my first encounter of the American “self-service policy.” Culture shock eh? 

If I remember it correctly, food was fine, the typical “nakakasuya na kapag aaraw-arawin.” I dunno, maybe I just didn’t like how it was cooked. Hindi lang sanay yata ang panlasa ko.

Here, we ordered… I forgot. It was beef (was it katsudon? HAHA, I’m bad at this) and Tempura. If it wasn’t for the beef I will be disappointed with what I pay coz I’m so kuripot and regretted having eaten there. The BEEF is so masarap. Haha. Tempura is typical tasteless prick. LOL.

After dinner, Angge promised me that she will treat to me to this MOONLEAF which I heard a countless times before, read in blogs more. Intrigued, I happily accepted her generosity. (O shizzz, was it supposed to be a secret that you treated me…*long pause*… with kindness? HAHA)

Puyat had once blogged about Moonleaf and the satisfaction he got. Haha. So there, Angge told me to first try Wintermelon pero I really wanted to try na that Yakult. HAHA!

So she ordered me with Yakult Jasmine, she ordered I forgot. Add-ons was nata de coco which was like gulaman in consistency(?). Haha. I am just used to tough nata de coco. 

There, big yakult for me. Haha. Maybe because of the hype I expected way way too much which is bad for me. It was great, halos nakadalawa nga ako eh. I thought it would be ‘creamier’(?) nonetheless it was still masarrap!

And mind you, ayos akong ilibre ah. Sulit na sulit. Ubos lahat ng laman ng cup! Simu’t sarap. Haha.

Just Dance

So last weekend I invited Angge in our house so we could play with ourselves (with ourselves?!!! Hahaha.)

Yehey.

Actually, I really wanted some friends long before pa (summer) to come over at our house so we could play… err dance. But I guess I don’t have friends anymore. (///.-) /wrists.

Haha. I don’t know how to invite, baka sabihin nagyayabang ako. At wala akong ipapakain eh.

 We have this Xbox Kinect where you can follow the steps and dance and the sensor will sense you coz it’s a sensor if you are doing it right and get points. It’s like a wii without those *insert nega adjective* controllers. Waytogo Xbox!

My favorite would be the Dance. Haha. After playing with this dance-thing-kinect I wondered why I had the guts to join Indakan! Hahaha! I can’t dance. I dance awkwardly! Oh well, they needed members and I think they were just shy to tell me the truth that I suck.

Pagkadating na pagkadating agad namin, nag Kinect agad kami. Played some games and then we danced. Haha. This was us dancing in the music of Pokerface, Maneater, Poison, Pon de replay etc. and of course, Lady Gaga’s Just Dance!

  So yun, pagkadating pa lang ng 9pm tulog na ang aking bisita. kapagod. Then the next day we danced again and movie marathon right after we got tired. Kaya kami napagkakamalang kami eh. 

This one eh I let her win. Hahaha. Good thing I already know some of the steps that’s why I won. When it’s vs my brother I seldom win kasi. Haha.

There. We bought Kinect coz my dad was invited before by his officemates in their wii party and they danced danced danced. Inspired, we now have this kinect. Mas masaya sya with more people! And if you’re looking for an exercise, pwedeng pwede rin to! Pampapawis.

So for the ending,
