And there it was, hiding behind a Velociraptor face, a Deinonychus waiting for its time to shine.
Quick illustration about the unfairness of knowledge distribution within pop culture.

Wool Collection: Interiors
Tumblr media
Placed in Southwark Cathedral, in London; the Campaign for Wool has in exhibition of over 50 wool made items (all fabulous), which speak about the versatility of the material and the creativity of both Artists and Industrial Designers to create new and beautiful ways to work with it.
One of the pieces shown in the exhibition, and which I found enjoyable, is the Ligne Roset Fraga coffe table, by Gam Fratesi; Its combination of wood+wool gives this piece a warm modern look, plus it's simple shape that mixes both organic (fabric) and straight (wood) lines.

Another piece that I felt fond by was the Hey-Sign Laundry baskets, which shown a blue-based colored scheme to indicate washing temperatures. I found this piece at the same time Graphic and Manufacture design interesting.

Chomet
Tumblr media
One of my personal favorite Directors of Animated films is Sylvain Chomet (The Old Lady and the Pigeons, The Triplets of Belleville, The Illusionist), because despite his amazing style, he knows how print the human roughness in to a 2D screen.
Chomet started with a brusque graphic style (Pigeons in 1997) that is still, at some level, shaping his work; but what would best define him is the crude way he presents characters, one that has remained through all his animated films. With strong and clear social critiques and a great dark humor, Chomet talks about cultural habits, national stereotypes, today's social banalities; including a more deep understanding on true human behavior on his main characters, who picture crudely their ambitions, dreams, mistakes, as true humans do secretly safe from judge.
His latest animated work, The Illusionist, is not an exception to this "unmasking humans" theme. Through the movie, there's a feeling of loneliness that surrounds the main character, but rather than making the spectator staying with this trouble in mind, this helps him to pay attention to the other characters the Magician is getting to know: the clown, the trapeze artists, the owner of the bar, the girl.
* I will write about these ones, plus some others of the vast selection that has done Chomet in his previous work. Until now, If you haven't seen his films I will highly recommend them; even if you don't mind about the social implications, I think that is almost impossible not to fall in love with his animation style.
*Down in the references you will find some of the artist in Chomet's team.
