i don’t know about you guys but the main reason i am still on tumblr in 2024 is BECAUSE it is the most cloutless least influential social media app out there and that is the experience i am after. absolutely none of this will ever translate into significant attention or real success in my life and that is so beautiful.

the rock is okay! on the shelter's facebook page, he has a better photo (the third/last one) here. he still has a "sad" face, but is noticeably more cleaned up. apparently he had/has medical issues that needed treated.

Oh! Thank you for showing me that! Poor thing. I didn't know it was possible for him to look worse, but he looks terrible in those "before" photos. I still hope someone can scoop him up and give him a forever home!

This poor baby needs to be loved so badly. I had to draw him with a little suitcase, waiting to be welcomed home. I really hope he finds his safe place 💔

My therapist asked me to draw what my anxiety looks like and this is what I ended up with. His name is Frank. He’s pretty friendly and means well, but having to explain him to other people is a burden.

I find it so sad that this frail 87-year-old woman had to hold the line for us even as she was dying. I hope someone told her it’s okay to rest. I hope she found some peace at the end. It is tragic that we can’t mourn the loss of this titanic woman without also mourning the loss of democracy.

On Monday, please call your Senators (especially If they are Republican) and insist that they cannot confirm a new Supreme Court justice until after the next president is inaugurated. Hold them accountable to the precedent THEY set after the death of Justice Scalia.

Calling is better than email because they need to log it. I hate calling my reps too, but I do it. Don’t be afraid! The phone number for the Capitol switchboard is (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you directly to the Senate office you request. Add this # to your contacts and set an alert for Monday morning.

Honestly, as a German I can not quite understand the obsession of the English speaking world with the question whether a word exists or not. If you have to express something for which there is no word, you have to make a new one, preferably by combining well-known words, and in the very same moment it starts to exist. Agree?
