ok so I went to a museum today and wound up looking at indian statues, and some of the statues showed men who were just like. normal men. like with small love handles and a little bit of lower belly fat. and all the copy on the descriptions for these statues were like "the THICK and WEIGHTY and HEAVY and PRESENT body blah blah blah etc etc" and I was like "bro look at a statue that's not from ancient greece where everyone got a six pack for the love of gd that is a normal man 😭 that man is thinner than me 😭 literally stop talking about them like that gd forbid that a thousand years ago indians were making statues for their temples that featured normal looking men 😭😭😭"

TIL anyone who's going to overwinter in Antarctica has to have had their appendix out. Because removing an appendix that's not causing any trouble just as a precaution is way better than having one that's about to burst when you're on the ass-end of the planet with no way to be rushed to a hospital if shit gets real.

The most beautiful thing about Drawtectives is that you can choose any combination and you will be right. But no way I'm ignoring a beautiful garb next to York.

Something I need to be reminded of often. Yes, I'm very lazy and also have executive problems up the wazoo (the difference? laziness is fun), but the cultural expectation of being productive every waking moment isn't healthy either. And the business of feeding ourselves is especially fraught these days.
