He took a deep breath, as much as he enjoyed the strange company of his strange, Midgardian cohorts, alone time was something he had always cherished, well, had adapted to enjoy when he was still very young.

He’d been scouting the area, tapping his boot lightly against the pillars of rocks to knock the dirt from them. There was a disruption, as Wraith had put it, but she in her infinite hodgepodge of responsibilities she had no time to check it out herself. He offered, as it was an opportunity to be something other than a burden for once, and though she was initially hesitant, she agreed, providing him some of her overly complicated equipment to help.

Loki’s nose wrinkled as he fiddled with the infernal device, remembering very little of how it was actually supposed to work to do anything.

She had not wanted him to go because she feared for his safety, but he laughed at the notion, even with his Seidhr bound, he was still more powerful then anything he would run into a pale, pathetic chunk of rock as this.

And that’s when the arrow on the device went out of control, he lent back, eyes wide with suspicious curiosity.
