Pertaining to the Tetro “theres no girls left” discourse that isnt really discourse but I want to talk about it.

One, its a killing game!! The students don’t know that theyre fake characters, much less think “im gonna kill a guy because theres only 3 girls left and 6 guys.” Even if its a situation like DRDT, where they know theyre being filmed, none of the killers would think about gender unless it might throw the investigation/trial. (i.e., chapter 1 of both dra and sdra2)

Two! Some fangan writers choose the death order before writing or getting attached to any of the characters, some writers do it at random. Besides, with how Tetro is made, Von can’t go back and edit everything based on fan feedback. The episodes are already made, Von is working on Tetro Blue.

Three! Along with my last point, FANGAN CREATORS DONT OWE US ANYTHING!!! Ive said it once and I will say it again! If you are not happy with the story of a fangan you like, you are entitled to making aus, your own fangan, or just to stop watching/reading/playing. But fangan CREATORS are NOT forced to make us happy. Its Danganronpa, its not exactly supposed to be happy for the viewer. And viewers are never entitled to insulting or harassing a creator because of choices they make for THEIR OCS.

Is this to say that I’m happy that there are only 2 girls left? Hell no!! I think Watari could’ve benefited from some more development. Im just lucky that the 2 girls left were always my favorite girls in the cast, and 4/6 of the males left are my favorite Tetro characters period. Von isn’t sexist for killing off most the girls. Wada, Hama, and Yanagi all got development from one or more girl’s death in the story. When you have 16 characters that all need development in a situation like Danganronpa, somebody has to die to make it happen. Sadly, some of the female characters were a big point for some of the male’s story. Isono and Tsuno for Wada, Chiba for Hama, Sasaki for Yanagi. I would even go as far as saying Tsuno, Sasaki, and Chiba for Hiroaki for how he felt after all their deaths.

Basically, if you dont like the story, you dont have to continue interacting with it

I had a dream a few nights ago that instead of a killing game the 16 students were put in a dating show. All I remember was that Harada and Isono teamed up and pretended to date to escape in chapter one and Yanagi badly hitting on lesbians (Tamba and Watari)

I think the fanganronpa community would be a lot nicer and happier if we all collectively invested ourselves into nicher fan games. Like yes, P:EG is great, DRDT is amazing, SDRA2 is peak, but if those are the only fangans you have consumed you need to delve deeper. Go find something with like 20 views and art that looks kinda sketchy and go sit through it. If it's good, fuck yeah, new thing to be crazy over! If it's bad, then congratulations, you've consumed a bad piece of media, now be normal about it. It's fanfiction. Stop expecting every fangan to be Edens Garden visually. Stop expecting every murder case to have LINUJ level complicated. Stop expecting every fangan to be peak fiction and better than danganronpa in every way or else it's bad and horrible forever. It's fucking fanfiction. People are creating fangans for fun and you consume them for fun, and there are so many fun fangans you can find and cherish and experience if you open yourself up to flawed media.

I’m honestly fine with almost anyone being the blackened honestly, my favourites (Kamimura, Okazaki, Watari and Kamimura and Kamimura)have already been wiped out however just please don’t make it Hiroaki TT (on my knees) and Yanagi maybe but I’m not hopeful.

some of the ftes in this game are actually straight up painful to watch because damon is just. so bad at communicating normally. some times its in a pathetic funny way like in desmond or diana’s ftes but then there’s eloise’s fte where ur just sitting there going “dude please stop.” i physically cringed everytime he started taking eva’s analogy way too literally. “im allergic to dogs” bro who gaf thats not her problem

Kai Monteago and Damon Maitsu being more similar than most think is genuinely so... There's no way he's not going to end up as Damon's support now.

I genuinely thought Kai would be a naive extrovert who would talk to anybody, but in chapter 1 he's the complete opposite of that. He's extremely cautious and aware of the dangers of simply existing in the killing game that they're all in.

He stays in/near his room most of the time, only going out when necessary. When he loses his ring under the fridge in one of his FTEs, he asks a few people for help but doesnt ultimately try to persuade them because he knows that no matter how much that ring means to him (a lot), his survival and safety is more important and he ends up returning to his room.

But once hes there and he sees Damon, he allows himself to show his vulnerability and be on the damn near verge of tears, pleading for his help. He trusts Damon, of all people, more so than I can say he does with the rest. He allows them both to sleep in his room, and even his bed. He knows Damon won't do anything to him. And during the blackout, he immediately turned to Damon so they could pair up. Oh princess how I hate you.

And Damon on the other hand is just as distrustful of the rest, shown by his only ally having been Eva. The only difference between him and Kai is that Kai presents himself as more sociable, whereas Damon is far more reserved.

They're also both extremely lonely. Damon didn't have the time to make many friends as a child. Even his debate partners were mere acquaintances to him, because he was so focused on studying debate to make money for his family. Kai, on the other hand, lost all of his friends when he became an Influencer.

Kai believes his current 'fans' are his friends, because they're all he has left. They support him no matter the controversies he's been in, and he believes that's their way of expressing their care for him. But, in reality, it's a parasocial relationship. After all, he's just another influencer to them, and he never bothers and even dislikes receiving private messages.

Damon with his superiority complex, and Kai with his inferiority. Their views on the world are warped to appease their own egos and conscience, and I don't know if they're doomed because of it or not

TLDR: Kai and Damon share similar struggles and Kai is going to be one of the only people that Damon will first grow to 'depend' on
