DMCにおけるキリスト教の有無を踏まえたV（バージル）の宗教観についての考察

”Twitterの文章切り貼りしただけなので思考そのまんまって感じです。これを深く追求して文章を書きたい。

キリスト教や聖書のことには詳しくないのだけれど、DMCの世界って実体として悪魔がこの世に顕現してるし魔界ってものが隣り合わせなわけじゃん？

舞台はイギリスっぽいしクリスチャンは多いと思うんだけど、この場合悪魔が平然とのさばっててそれでも人は神を信仰するの？

誤解は生みたくないんだけど、「慈悲を与える神が悪魔をのさばらせているのはあまりにも試練が過ぎる」んじゃないかと思って。

悪魔はいるのに、神は現れない。それでも人は神を信じられる？

だからこそ魔剣教団は存在したわけだが。

そうやって考えると魔剣教団はなぜそれほど浸透してなかったのか。

市民がスパーダの伝説は伝説だと認識していたのは悪魔を見たことがないからで、それはダンテたちデビルハンターのおかげであり、

だが今回の一件で世間に悪魔の存在が知れ渡った今、市民は──市民の宗教はどうなるのかね？

元はVは神を信じるのか（William Blakeはクリスチャンだったようだから）ってとこから考え始めたこの話なんだけど、

2,000年以上前から悪魔は存在してたはずで、その頃は市民が慌てふためくだけの悲惨な状況だったか、デビルハンターとされる人物がいたか。

悪魔が攻勢に出ようとしたところで、スパーダが反旗を翻す。世界は救われた。しかし救ったのもまた悪魔だった。その姿を目にした市民は「それでも我々を救ってくれた人物だ」とスパーダを讃える。

讃えられ、伝説が語り継がれながら神格化していったのが魔剣教団。

では他に宗教は存在するのか？

デビルハンターが増えたことにより悪魔も伝説の一部として語られるようになり、その悪魔を滅す者として神は信じられた？

そして今回の事件に繋がったら──神に助けを請うよな？ それが膝を折るあの姿か

それでもまだ人は神を信じ続ける、試練にしてはえげつなかったがな

Vが神を信仰するかどうか、非常に考察したい

漠然とは信仰してないと思ってるけど ブレイクの詩を読んでるんだ、多少感化されるところはあるだろう、というか詩を理解するにはキリスト教の教えを理解しなければならない

クリスチャンになるのではなくてただの理解、Vはそれを受け入れるのか自分の思考の範疇に無いと放棄するのか

悪魔という存在を幼少から知ってるから神など信じない、「この詩に書かれているような神様がいるなら母さんは死ななかった──���」と思っているはず

「誰でも助けてくれるはずなのに僕たち家族は助けてもらえなかった」、「悪魔の家系だったから？」、「十戒を破ったからなの？」

などと、神をむしろ憎んでいるかもしれない

もしくはそんな系譜に生まれた自分自身を否定し悔やむかもしれない、と思ったが、「神は助けてくれない」「母を護るのはこの自分だ。自分しか頼れるものはない」と思ったゆえの力への執着か………

そうだとは確定できないけどそうだという可能性は言える

そうやって考えると自身の力しか信用していなかったバージルの分身のVは従者に頼ることができてえらいね……えらいね……

ちがうの、バージルがえらくないんじゃなくて、人の一部に触れ人を知り・自分一人では何事もできぬと知ったVを取り戻すことでその精神がバージルに芽生えた成長が嬉しい………

When I watched cutscene Versil purged V from his body, I thought “How does V obtain his clothes? Can’t walk around in naked.”

V "It's not a cheap one. Hmm, approximately 400￡. My pants? It's really cheap. It was at a chain store. My sandals cost more expensive than 150￡, I guess. Think it’s too expensive? Ha-ha, I asked Griffon to obtain clothes for me. That's all. (grin)"

Griff "Gotcha! V took some drugs! By whom the fuck were you done!?"

V "uh...I know, or I don't know."

Griff "Shit...Lend your shoulder, Shadow."

Shad "Grr..."

Griff "Babe is gonna sleeping. You're seriously a handful. I'm not a fucking hen. Well, I'm singing for ya! Twinkle Twinkle Little Star~~ ──What? V "Well... I don't have a clear memory of a couple hours ago. But I had a Dream. I've come home..."

Griff "That was good. You didn't have a bad trip."

V "What are you talking about?"

Griff "No worries! We just killed shit guy. From now on, you'll be careful your back, sleeping Beauty!!"

What’s your favorite food, V? (V and Griffon dialogue)

I saw the post discussing about Nero’s favorite food on reddit. Then, how about V?

V "I don't eat rice so much. Chinese food? Well...so-so.  Talking about French, I don't have opportunity having French. I like Italian. Dante seems to like pizza and Nero like pasta. I like liver paste. With crackers. Anyway, Shadow loves T-bone steak."

Griffon "I dislike chicken! Does it make sense? DO NOT make me say again. So, I don't have likes and dislikes... I specially like fish!! Italy is surrounded around the sea. Fish is very good. Especially grilled! With herbs...oops, I didn’t mean drug, ha-ha."

DMC5 where is V?

I played “Devil May Cry 5”  and cleared just yesterday. It was very fun. I’m impressed. I like V among 3 main characters.

From now, there are spoilers about story. BE CAREFUL! （ネタバレ注意！）

I think, “Then... Where has V gone? He is in Vergil’s body? Give me more information!!! CAPCOM!!!!” So, I imagined their dialogue. If you like, look below. THX.

Nero "So...where has V gone, father?"

Vergil "Don't call me "father". disgusting."

Dante "Vergil is embarrassed, Nero."

Nero "I know. He is not rude like you, Dante."

Dante "Then... you are like me! ha!"

Nero "I won't believe you two are siblings..."

Vergil "Hey. You asked me where V has gone, didn't you?"

Nero "Sorry, father."

Vergil "I WON'T SAY AGAIN. Anyway, I can split my body into V and me, using Yamato. But, without V, I might become Urizen. You two have responsibility to save me?"

Dante "I defeat you over and over again."

Nero "I will protect you, father."

Vergil "OK. I show you...V..."

Nico "Don't commit suicide in my van!"

Vergil "uhh...gah..."

V  “"O Earth O Earth return! Arise from out the dewy grass; Night is worn, And the morn Rises from the slumberous mass." “

Nero “V!”

Dante “What’s up? William Blake.”

V “I’m fine. Not changed as ever. To begin with, I and Vergil are merged. This time, I was “purged” from his body, then I merged into him. Vergil said he would become Urizen without me, however, he wouldn’t.”

Nero “Why?”

V “He’s not gonna lose me. He found himself from that incident he is out of control without human mind, me. I can’t go around freely now, because I’m not purged completely.”

Dante “One flesh.”

V “Right.”

Nero “Well, you mean I can fight with you again?”

V “Hmm...I thought you dislike a united front, whatever, yes. Although Vergil have to be around me.”

Dante “...welcome back, V.”

V “I’m glad to see you again.”
