keep in mind that I am not trying to stay as faithful as possible to the source material or anything and that all characters are extremely different from cannon, and so is the general lore, feel free to completely ignore this if it's not your thing.

with that out of the way... Time to lore dump! Post is specifically about the affects of golden hour, a very important part of the au!

Golden hour teleports the host back to where they were at the start of their cycle in the same condition that they were in when their cycle was started. If they die before the cycle restarts they come back with a minor, barely noticeable, mutation. they aren't really detectable at first, even by the one who was mutated, but they eventually add up if you die enough to the same thing. The mutations will cover your weaknesses. Enhance your hearing if you dont hear things soon enough, giving you better night vision if you died in the dark, ECT.

Ruby Boucher, now known as blue, was the first successful test of golden hour. She's been dying dozens of times a day for years and has gained the ability to mutate at will, completely changing her appearance in seconds. She will change to look like someone who was already part of the group after she kills them when they fall behind, and she then takes their place. Though her body always looks vaguely human. She has also shown the ability to discard and restore the effects of past experiments on her as she pleases, making her able to get only the effects she wants from any experiment and discard the rest. No other test subjects have shown this ability.

Golden hour will slowly impact the persons personality, though how exactly itl impacts the test subjects seems to depend on the individual, though it usually enhances some kind of instinct and makes them more impulsive. Test subjects have been more fearful, aggressive, or protective, and in some cases, even more parental.

After a few weeks of failing to get the crystal urbanshade decided to use golden hour on some EXR-Ps, but due to a lack of resources and the proper facilities only managed to give it to about 8 of them total.

Time to rant about my "happy ending" pressure au.

so I'll go deeper into ocs in a future post but first some things about my version of the canon characters

Sebastian was eventually able to be returned to a semi-human state thanks to brandy(an OC) was finally able to get a company that was willing to send a sub down to bring everyone back to the surface in exchange for all the urbanshade secrets they were able to scrounge up. He was able to go home to see his spouse and family and tell them that he was in fact not dead... though he may have brought along some... "Companions". Since he was the only one who still had loved ones to go back to the others kinda tagged along since four out of the five of them are some kind of genius and all of them, exept sebastian himself, can probably find a high paying job if given access to the Internet. He will never admit it but he got attached to them. They're kinda like a second family he never asked for.

Scrapper, blue, (also OCs) and Sebastian were able to work together to make p.ai.nter a body so he could move around by himself. He was finally able to make art again, and while his creator may be gone, he now has a rather large found family and a place to call home.

Sebastian and p.ai.nter are very different in this au since it's mostly set a few years in the future with frequent flashbacks. Sebastian is the same towards players but he treats the rest of the cast very differently than the canon sebastian would. Think of it like teasing and sarcastic older brother who is very annoyed by his siblings but he will very much protect them if necessary.

For p.ai.nter I based his personality off the in-game voice lines and his file but also partially off of my cats. P.ai.nter either wants the full attention of who he's talking to or peace and quiet. Ever since he got a body he's grown to enjoy giving small physical shows of (platonic) affection. I also headcannon p.ai.nter is aro/ace but will often show his (Again, completely platonic) love in ways that are often viewed as couple things (holding hands, letting loved ones lean on him, holding them if their particularly upset, ECT.)

New character askable!

Michael Afton! (Beacuase I agree with the theory's he's alive.)

He's Angie's manager! Michael immediately recognized the startling resemblance to Elizabeth, And glitchtrap immediately recognized Michael. Glitchtrap started warning Angie to avoid him until he can kill him, telling her that he's dangerous, so Angie's avoiding him like the plague.

But on the other hand Micheal sees how the company just throws her at any animatronic having a fit to stop them,(and how she's completely fine with this,) the fact she knows details about the Afton family that she shouldn't, ect. And decided that he needs to keep an eye on her. Telling himself that it has nothing to do with how much she acts like elizabeth.
