Just A Dean's Job
Tumblr media
This took me awhile, And rather Late for a Christmas post. But I got "The villain giving presents in secret" type of idea in my mind and decided to put it to good use
[Song Recommended to listen while Reading]
Pairings: Student Reader X Leonora Lesso X Clarissa Dovey [Platonic, Can be Parental Dovesso]
Warning: NIL
Summary: It was Christmas night, students were all sleeping. The Two Dean's decided to be the schools Secret Santas and both caught each other in the midst of their plans.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖⋆ ˚❆.𖥔 ݁ ˖⋆ ˚❆.𖥔 ݁ ˖⋆ ˚❆.𖥔 ݁ ˖⋆ ˚❆.𖥔 ݁ ˖⋆ ˚❆.𖥔 ݁ ˖⋆ ˚❆.𖥔
It was a chilly winter night at the School for Good and Evil, where the sound of distant winds howling through the trees had settled into an eerie calm. The snow outside lay thick upon the ground, and the moonlight glimmered against the frozen landscape like a thousand tiny diamonds.
Inside, the school was quiet—eerily quiet for a place that usually thrummed with life and magic. Students, both Good and Evil, were tucked safely in their dorms, fast asleep, blissfully unaware of the two figures moving through the halls in secret..
Lady Leonora Lesso, the strict and imposing Dean of Evil, had always carried an air of severity, yet there was something softer in her step tonight. Moving through the night with a quiet grace. Her dark, flowing robes swished as she walked, her boots making soft tapping sounds on the stone floors.
In her arms, she cradled a pile of carefully wrapped gifts. She would be using her magic if it weren’t for the fact that she wasn’t willing to wake up the students who were light sleepers, knowing the glow from her fingertips would only be attracting attention.
With a sigh she moved down the hallway, internally muttering about how inconvenient and embarrassing it is for someone like her to be doing such things.
Thinking that She was the first to arrive, as always, there was the grand Christmas tree that stood proudly in the center of the room. The tree was adorned with twinkling lights, glittering ornaments, and strands of gold tinsel—everything a student could imagine for the holidays…
As she neared the grand hall, Lesso’s heart skipped a beat. There, just ahead of her, was a familiar figure— Dovey the Dean of the School for Good.
“Shit.” She muttered as She tries to hide herself behind the pile of presents she was carrying, moving slowly away from the area that Dovey was at.
Dovey was placing down a Large box with a tag that simply read: To the students of good. Just Right before she turned and caught Lesso in the act.
“Lesso..?” Dovey thought to herself as she could not believe her own eyes, the thought of Lesso who’s always feared by everyone is giving out gifts in the middle of the night seemed almost amusing and hilarious to her.
Her blonde hair falling in loose waves around her shoulders, as her eyes lit up with mischief in her mind the moment Lesso made Eye contact with her.
Tumblr media
"Well, well," Dovey said, her voice a soft tease, "looks like I’m not the only one with a secret." She said as she walks towards her.
"Dovey," she said, her voice was stiff as she tries to hide her true emotions.
“I wasn’t aware we have another Secret Santa in this school..”
“And No one needs to know.” Lesso said almost immediately, cutting her off out of embarrassment.
“And here I thought you didn't believe in Christmas."
"I do not," Lesso replied curtly, "But I do believe in duty. And this," she gestured to the pile of gifts in her hands, "is my duty tonight. The students of Evil must have something to wake up to in the morning."
“Uh huh.. Definitely something that the Dean for the school of evil do..”
Lesso glared at her, but there was no real heat behind it. "You will not speak of this to anyone," she said firmly. "This is a secret between the two of us. No one must know."
Dovey’s laughter rang softly through the hall. “Let’s keep it that way, shall we? As much as I would love to be telling everyone about how the great evil dean is actually Santa Claus in disguise.. it would ruin the magic wouldn’t it?”
“Of course.. we wouldn’t want to ruin that silly little make believe that the students still believe in.” Lesso scowled.
“And I didn’t expect you to be so sentimental. You’ve certainly got a soft spot for the little ones, don’t you?”
“I am not some sentimental fool,” Lesso said, though the slightest hint of affection could be heard in her voice. “I simply understand the importance of ensuring the students are inspired and motivated… even if they don’t realize it.”
“Ah, of course," Dovey replied, her eyes glinting with playful curiosity. "Because the students of the School for Evil have been so good this year, haven't they?" She exaggerated the word good, letting the playful jab hang in the air.
“You’re insufferable.” Lesso scoffed before she adjusted her long dark cloak and crouched beside the tree, placing small packages under the boughs with painstaking precision. Despite her stern exterior and reputation as one of the most formidable figures in the school, tonight she was an entirely different person.
There were many presents she carried, every present has its own unique charm to it. As if it was wrapped carefully to the students likings and personalities.
Some of which had ribbons in dark, Gothic hues. While some, had cute intricate designs of snowflakes tied with golden ribbons. She knew the nuances of each one's personality, their desires, their little quirks — Observed through conducting classes and teaching them for quite some time.
After placing all of the individual gifts under the tree, She carefully placed the last gift. A beautifully wrapped box with a tag that simply read: To the students of Evil.
Dovey bent down, picking up a gift from the floor and eyeing it with a playful grin. "I have to admit, Leonora, I didn’t expect to catch you in the act. I thought for sure you’d be asleep by now, plotting how to ruin everyone's holiday spirit."
Lesso sighed, as if to imply that she was forced to participate in these small acts of kindness against her will. But her eyes were betraying her hidden emotions. “I’d better been well off as the Grinch then.” She joked.
“The grinch who stole Christmas?” Dovey lets out a stifled laughter, as she walked towards Lesso.
“But even at the end of the story, he still cares.. No matter how evil he tries to be”
Boop!-
Dovey tapped her finger lightly on Lesso’s nose, before giving her a playful grin.
“You know.. It’s actually nice to see a different side of you, Leonora. You don’t let anyone see it, but I know you care about them..”
What Dovey said seems to strike a chord in her, as her gaze subtly shifted to the students' sleeping quarters. Each one of them sleeping peacefully, tugged in their beds.. Some slept in a disheveled posture which seem to almost bring out a slight tug on the side of her lips
"You’re allowed to enjoy this, too. It’s Christmas, after all."
“I suppose you’re right. It’s easy to forget, sometimes in all this…
— She replied while weaving one of her hands, gesturing to the bright lights and Christmas decorations around her. Though she couldn’t help but glance over at Dovey with a slight barely visible smirk.
“But don’t think this means I’ll start celebrating every holiday with you, Dovey. I have my pride.”
“Oh, don’t worry.” Dovey laughed lightly, her voice full of warmth. “I wouldn’t dream of forcing that on you. Though, my door is always open.” She said with a grin on her face.
The room fell quiet, a comfortable ambience. As if everything fell perfectly in place.
“Merry Christmas, Lesso..”
Lesso’s eyes softened, there was a brief silence before followed by a reply that is soft but audible to the person standing beside her.
“Merry Christmas, Dovey.”
Was that a small smile, From the imposing Dean?.. Well, We would never know. All that we know is that the two of them shared the same goals, bathing in the fuzzy feeling of bringing a bit of joy to the students. They stood for a moment, looking down at the tree with its growing pile of gifts, and for the first time in a long time, both felt a little lighter..
"Ready to go, Santa?" Dovey asked with a teasing grin, nudging Lesso playfully as they both stood back to admire their work.
Lesso rolled her eyes feigning annoyance, before chuckling softly "After you, Dovey."
And with that, Both headmistresses slipped away into the shadows. Disappearing into the quiet halls of the School for Good and Evil, Knowing that the students would wake up the next morning to find their Christmas gifts under the Glowing tree..
.~.
It was now Christmas morning, and for the first time in a long time, there was a sense of peace in the air. The students had been awake for only a few minutes, stirring from their slumber in their cozy dormitories. As they began to trickle into the Great Hall for their early breakfast, a curious sight greeted them.
Under the enormous Christmas tree, surrounded by glimmering decorations and flickering candles, were dozens of neatly wrapped presents—each one labeled with the student’s name. The silver and black ribbons, the sparkles of glitter, the way the gifts seemed to glow with a secret magic… it was as if the very essence of Christmas had been carefully arranged for them.
“OH MY GOD! GUYS! YOU’VE GOT TO SEE THIS!” one of the students called out from the Great Hall, which caused a ripple of students rushing through the hallway wanting to get a good look of the commotion.
You followed along blindly, only curious to want to know what was happening. Until you reached the Great Hall..
“Presents?! We get presents!!?” One of your friends was in shock, similar to all the other students who had just entered the hall. The students' chatter filled the room, but none of them had yet questioned who could possibly have placed the presents there. They all just assumed it was a Christmas miracle, as many children do when magic is at play. None of them knew the true masterminds behind this holiday surprise.
“This one is yours” one of the student held out the two nicely wrapped presents and placed them on the floor near to you before they continued to rummage through the crowd full of students who were either squatting on the floor or bent downwards trying to find their own gifts.
You bent down to grab the two small package with your name written in elegant, curvy script.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile. In the back of the hall, near the large stone fireplace, two figures stood with quiet smiles—Lady Leonora Lesso and Lady Dovey. Both of them were watching the scene unfold, content and almost sentimental.
Lesso let out a small, amused breath as the students began to crowd around the tree, unwrapping gifts with joy. “How Noisy.. I’m starting to regret my decisions on giving them presents now.”
Dovey lets out a soft laugh, “I know you don’t mean it Leonora, admit that you enjoy seeing them happy. Besides, they are just eager to know who mysteriously gave them presents.”
For a moment, your gaze met Dovey's. She smiled at you softly, her gaze flicking towards the gifts that you were holding on your hands. As if she was anticipating you to open it.
You looked away quickly, unsure if you’d imagined it, but the feeling remained— a quiet assumption thinking that they were the ones who had placed the presents there. But you had no evidence nor proof that it was them.
Lesso's lips curled into a slight smile, looking at your expression that was filled with unspoken assumptions. “Let them wonder, The mystery is half the fun after all...”
“What’s wrong? Were you not expecting Santa to give you a present?” Dovey’s voice reached you from the doorway, teasing you slightly at your expression. “We’ll be here if you need us.”Her tone was soft, and gentle.
Though Lesso did not say a single word, she placed a finger to her lips. A soft and unspoken gesture that speaks volumes.
Noticing the subtle indirect hint of that action, you felt a faint, almost imperceptible tug in your chest.
The realization hits. The gifts were from the Deans…
"Do you think they know?" Dovey asked quietly, as she gazed to Lesso.
"I doubt it," Lesso replied playfully, her voice low but laced with an unreadable warmth.
"But I don’t think they need to."
Dovey’s smile widened. "Perhaps not."
As the students continued to unwrap their gifts with wonder, the two Deans exchanged a quiet glance, a silent understanding between them.
And for just a moment, as you stood there under the tree, surrounded by the quiet magic of the school, you understood. Sometimes, the most powerful gestures of all were the ones left unspoken..

[Song Recommended to listen while reading]
Pairings: Student Reader X Professor Snape [Platonic]
Warnings: Drowning, Near Death Experience
Summary: Taking place where It's winter and the professors were given permission to hold certain classes outside, As you were skating on a frozen lake. You fell. And was rescued by Professor Snape
⊹₊⟡⋆⊹₊⟡⋆⊹₊⟡⋆⊹₊⟡⋆⊹₊⟡⋆⊹₊⟡⋆⊹₊⟡⋆⊹₊⟡⋆⊹₊⟡⋆⊹⊹
The chill of winter had settled across the grounds of Hogwarts, casting a soft, frosty glow over the castle and its surrounding landscape. The snow had been falling steadily all morning, blanketing the world in a serene silence. It was a day you had looked forward to all week, though it was far from a typical lesson.
Since it was winter, it was announced that the beginning of the week. Classes would be held mainly outside, nearby the frozen lake. To make things even much more interesting, you and your friends decided that it would be a good idea to ice skate on the frozen lake. Since it was a really rare chance for professors to allow students to roam around outside of hogwarts.
The professors brought everyone outside, students having the choice to either bring boots or skates. You chose skates, lacing up your skates, you felt a small smack on the back of your head.
"Come on, slowpoke! If you can catch me I'll treat you to anything you want in HoneyDukes!"
One of your friends called, already skating effortlessly across the ice. The others joined in, skating in wild, joyful loops, their laughter carrying through the crisp air. You grinned as you pushed off your blades towards them on your skates, The cold wind brushing past your face as you skillfully manoeuvred through the crowd of students to try to chase up to your friend.
"Crap! [Y/N]'s catching up- Just how the hell are you so fast?!"
Your friend yelled as they skimmed through the Lake, trying to lose you.
"Food," you said, your tone insouciant with a hinge of smugness, as you picked up the speed and skated towards the frozen lake, determined to catch up with your friend. You could feel the surge of radiating excitement as you continued the chase.
Suddenly, you hear a low, ominous crack beneath your feet. For a moment, it’s barely noticeable, just a faint shiver in the ice, but then the sound grows louder—a deep, thunderous rumble that shakes the ground beneath you. Panic surges through you as the crack spreads outward, a jagged line racing across the frozen lake.
You froze up a little in fear as you're about to turn back the other way from where you skated. Before your foot slipped, unable to regain your balance, you felt the ice shatter beneath you.
A loud crack could be heard before a splash.
A shriek of Fear was heard throughout the area, As you plunged and fell deep into the lake.
It was a sharp shock at first, the moment your skin touches the cold water. It was as if a thousand needles are pricking against your skin. Your body temperature was dropping deliberately, that it made it difficult to even breathe or gasp for air.
The Moment was so sudden that you didn't even have any time to react.
Everything was a blur, As the darkness beneath the lake slowly engulfs you..
"Is this it..?"
You silently thought to yourself.
Embracing what's to come, everything around you stirred in slow-mo.
The coldness was violently spreading through your skin, seeping in deeper and deeper. Until you feel numb, almost paralysed. Choking out every warmth you've had on your body.
You could only hear muffled noises through the thickness of the water... They were most likely from the students who witnessed the incident first-hand.
Before you saw a distorted view of black robes appearing at the edge of the water, with only limited amount of vision under water you could'nt really tell who it was. And then, without warning, you felt something yanked you out from the depths of the water.
"Wingardium Leviosa.."
You Gasped for air the moment your head got the chance to peak the surface. You're now floating In the air, drenched in icy cold lake water that soaked your robes from top to bottom. Droplets trickled off your robes, steady cascade down your arms and the fabric’s seams.
"P- professor- S..nape.." You try to utter the professor's name, But your still recovering from the near death experience. Teeths were chattering each other fiercely as if you didn't had any control over it.
He didn’t wait for a word of thanks. After Putting you down slowly from the air, his hands wrapped tightly around your wrist. Tugging you away from the dangerous edge of the ice and toward the shore.
"I didn't expect one of my students to be so foolish, especially you [Y/N].." Snape muttered under his breath.
He gave his wand a complicated little wave so that hot air streamed out of the tip, pointing it at your robes, which began to steam as they dried out.
"Hot Air Charm.." You recognised that charm immediately, as it was recently taught by Professor Flitwick. You remembered how he said this would be tested by the end of the semester, a charm used often in this type of weather.
"Being good at charms doesn't mean anything, when you are entirely incapable of taking care of yourself." Snape's voice, though sharp and scolding, held an undercurrent of concern that made your heart flutter.
"You are lucky to be alive. We’ll get you inside before you freeze to death."
As he Ushered you back into the school, leading you to the Common room.
There was something comforting about his presence, despite the usual air of frustration that followed him. You hadn't expected the scary dungeon professor to show such care.
"Thank you," you whispered, your voice barely above the wind.
He said nothing at first, simply continuing to walk alongside you, but the moment you stepped into the common room He muttered.
"Don't Make a Habit out of this."
.~.
The warmth of the fire crackled softly in the common room, as you sank into an armchair near the hearth, your body Shivered less after letting out a deep sigh.
The relief palpable as you went to cradle a mug of hot chocolate in your hands. The rich aroma of the cocoa was comforting and alluring as if it was inviting you to take a sip...
Prepared to take your first sip. Snape's voice cut through the stillness.
"Not yet. Put that down," Snape instructed firmly, though not unkindly. "You will drink this first." He took out a small vial from his pocket.
You could see a thick, pale Blue liquid swirling inside the vial, with a scent that is oddly strong but soothing.
"Is that Calming Draught?.." You Asked.
"Indeed.." he replied, "Your body may have dried, but your mind needs settling. Drink this." He said as he handed over the vial.
"I don’t need a potion, Professor," you replied quietly, more out of instinct than conviction. You really did want the hot chocolate, something simple to help you forget the fear that still clung to you.
"Don't Be Stubborn Child.." Snape said sharply, stepping closer. "Anxiety, panic—these things are not easily conquered with something as trivial as hot chocolate."
Your gaze faltered as you looked back at the calming draught, feeling a bit foolish for having tried to dismiss his advice. Taking the vial, you held your breath and drank the draught in one gulp. It tasted bitter, almost medicinal, but as it slid down your throat..
You immediately felt the effects of the potion taking place.
A cool wave of calm sweeping through you. Your shoulders, which had been tight with anxiety, seemed to relax, and your breath became steadier.
It’s hardly surprising that the potion effect was effective, given that it was brewed by one of the best potions professor..
Noticing that you're now more relaxed, Snape gave you a curt nod but didn’t offer any further words of comfort.
"Professor.. Again.. uh- Thanks for saving me"
You broke the silence, Awkwardly. Knowing Snape wasn't really one for small talks.
"Don’t think for a second that I’ll tolerate any further recklessness when it comes to your safety...I will not always be there to save you from your own impulses."
You nodded quietly, his words more a reminder than a lecture...
As he turned and walked out of the common room, his robes swayed behind him with effortless elegance, leaving you in the warm solitude of the room. The soft crackling of the fireplace filled the silence, wrapping you in its comforting embrace...

Sweet November
Platonic Sara Deever x teen!reader
TW: None
Note: Yes, lately I'm obsessed with angel themes, sjhdjd.
I'LL MAKE YOU BETTER
Tumblr media
Sara Deever strolled through the park, a soft smile gracing her lips as the crisp autumn air swirled around her. The wind played with her golden curls, and her boots crunched against the vibrant tapestry of fallen leaves in shades of amber and burnt orange. She savored the peaceful moment before heading back to her apartment, where she paused on the front steps to rest.
Her eyes caught sight of a young girl sitting there, her small figure wrapped in a pale green jacket and a red woolen hat that framed her lost, E/C eyes. Something about the girl piqued Sara’s curiosity, a pull she couldn’t quite explain. Sara sat beside her, her warm smile reaching the girl.
"Hi, I'm Sara Deever. Nice to meet you!" Sara’s voice was as sunny as her smile.
"Hi. I'm Y/N," the girl glanced up hesitantly, fidgeting with her hat.
"What a beautiful name," Sara said sincerely, her blue eyes sparkling. "Are your parents nearby?"
"They're at home. We just moved here," Y/N nodded.
"That must be scary," Sara mused gently. "Being in a new place can feel a little overwhelming."
Y/N shrugged, her nervous energy manifesting in a slight frown. "I guess so."
Sara studied her for a moment. "Are you okay? Everything alright?"
The girl’s response was a mere nod, but her guarded demeanor didn’t escape Sara’s notice.
"How come you're so nice?" Y/N asked, a hint of disbelief creeping into her voice. "I thought neighbors are supposed to be mean."
Sara chuckled softly, shaking her head. "Not all neighbors. Some just get too busy with their lives to say hello. But me? I believe in making people smile."
With a playful gesture, Sara ruffled Y/N’s hair. "What do you like to do for fun?"
Y/N shrugged again, her expression clouding. "Nothing, really."
"Nothing? That’s no way to spend your days," Sara leaned closer, her voice gentle but teasing. "Cmon, there has to be something."
The girl hesitated, then shook her head.
Sara took her small hands in hers, giving them a reassuring squeeze. "Well, we’ll just have to find something together, won’t we?"
Sara took Y/N's small hands into hers.
"Let's see if we can think of something that you would like to do."
"Now? Okay-" she nodded.
Sara's smile wided with excitement.
"What are you interested in? Reading? Crafting? Gaming? Playing sports?"
"I dunno- I never really-" Y/N said nervously, biting her nails.
Sara noticed her nervous expression and gently pulled her hand from Y/N's mouth, pushing her chin up so she looked at Sara.
"There is nothing you enjoy? That's a shame. You're so young, you should be out there exploring and doing something you love. How about music, TV, movies?"
"I don't listen to music and I don't watch TV."
The conversation carried on as Sara slowly coaxed the girl out of her shell. They soon found themselves in Sara’s cozy apartment, which brimmed with warmth and character. Y/N settled in, mimicking Sara’s movements as she removed her shoes and jacket, the blonde couldn’t help but laugh.
"Are you my little copycat today?" she teased.
The girl offered a small smile, her face softening for the first time since they met. They settled into the living room where they chatted for hours.
"Can I come tomorrow too? Same time?" Y/N asked, tilting her head.
"Of course you can. You can come every day, if you like," Sara chuckled and ruffled her hair.
As the girl left, Sara sighed and turned to her calendar. Usually men are her months. But something- something told her to make the girl a month too.
She looked at the calendar again, debating for a while if she really should. After thinking for a while, she grabbed a pen and mark "Month: Y/N" in her calendar.
'She really deserves to be happy, that girl'
Chaz Watkey, Sara's neighbour and dear friend entered the apartment carrying some groceries. "So who's your month now?" Chaz asked.
Sara turned to Chaz and helped him carry the groceries to the kitchen.
"I knew you would ask about the calendar," she laughed.
"You'll never believe who it is."
"Let me guess… The man who goes to the local coffee shop often? Richard?" he asked.
"Nope, you're wrong. It's a 14 year old girl named Y/N."
"A kid? You sure about it? And if she gets too attached? You'd have to tell her about your illnes," Chaz replied.
Sara sat down in a chair with a sigh, dropping her smile.
"You think I do not know that? She's a kid. But I just... I feel like I need to help her. She's a really shy, awkward kid. She's insecure, always biting her nails, and she doesn't have any interests... Nothing that made her happy. I just... feel like I need to step in and help her."
"What are you gonna do after her month goes by? Just stop communicating with her? It was never like this with the men. I mean... What if you get attached too?" he asked, putting away the groceries.
"That's... exactly why I should not have put her name on the calendar"
She put her head in her hands and rubbed her face, sighing.
"But I just can't not do anything. I'm stuck between two decisions... and it hurts my head."
"It's late. You wrote her name. So I think you should just follow your heart with this one," Chaz replied as he took an apple out of the bag and took a bite.
Sara sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
"You're right... as always," she gave Chaz a small smile.
"I wrote down her name... so I should just see how it goes with her."
"How's your head? You took your meds today?" Chaz asked taking another bite of his apple.
"Yeah, my head is fine. The meds work, just a bit of headache sometimes. Nothing major."
Sara looked at Chaz for a second.
"You're worried, aren't you?"
Chaz nodded
"Of course I am. You're dying- you have like a month or so left-"
"... a month or so..." Sara said quietly to herself.
"I know... I can feel it too. I'm just trying to ignore it and go through this last month like it's any other month."
"So Y/N's gonna be your last one huh?"
She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath.
"Yeah... yeah she will."
The blonde smiled faintly, trying to not think about the fact that it's probably also her final month of life.
"Don't worry. Maybe the kid will be a nice distraction?"
"Yeah, hopefully... this will be an... interesting month," Sara nodded.
Sara got up from her seat, still slightly tired.
"I think I'm gonna go lay down for the rest of the evening"
"Good night, Sara," Chaz replied as he left the apartment.
"Thanks for the apple," he winked.
"Good night."
She headed to her bedroom and got under the covers, staring up at the ceiling for a moment before closing her eyes.
The next day Sara waited as she planned for the day she would spend it with the girl. After school, Y/N came. "Hi, Sara," she said.
"Hey Y/N, it's nice to see you again this early," she smiled and opened the door wide to let her in.
"How was school today?"
"School? What scho- Oh- good," Y/N replied as she entered. "How are you?"
"I'm good, just did some chores around the house."
Sara shut the door behind Y/N and looked at her.
"Are you looking forward to today? We're going to have a lot of fun together."
Sara led the girl to her car and they drove off to a local museum of modern art. Sara watched Y/N, the girl's eyes twinkling as if she saw it for the first time in her life. Afterwards they stopped at a nearby café.
"This is really good," Y/N said as she sipped her hot coco and ate her croissant.
Once again her eyes twinkled as if she drank coco for the first time.
"I know, right? The food here is amazing," Sara smiled
The blonde took a sip of her own hot cocoa, looking at the happy girl in front of her.
"I hope you enjoyed today."
"I did." Y/N nodded
Sara smiled and leaned in closer towards Y/N.
"You know, this is only the first day of the month. We have many more days to spend together."
"First day of the month? What do you mean by that?" Y/N tilted her head. "What about all the months after this one?"
Sara leaned back again and gave a small frown, fixing her scarf.
"Well... this month is kind of, hmm... special..." she said while trying to find the right words to say it.
"Oh." Y/N replied. "Why?" she asked holding her cup of hot coco.
Sara's frown got deeper as she mentally prepared herself.
"This month is special, because after this month is over... I won't be able to spend the next month, or any month, with you. I am very very sick, Y/N..."
"S-so... Y-you're saying you're gonna die in a month?" Y/N asked, stuttering.
Sara slowly nodded.
"I'm sorry." suddenly Y/N stood up and sat next to Sara, throwing herself into the woman's arms, taking her by surprise
Sara froze in place for a moment. But soon she wrapped her arms around her and held her tight to her chest.
"I'll try to be happy... for you-" Y/N sniffled. "I promise. We'll have so much fun."
Tears started welling up in blonde's blue eyes when she heard Y/N say that.
"Oh, you sweet girl," she stroked the teen's hair. "That's so sweet of you..."
Three weeks went by and just as promised Y/N tried to be happy for Sara, making her feel better and smile.
It was Friday evening.
"Can I sleepover with you today, Sara?" Y/N asked.
"Of course, you can. It'll be just like a girls' sleepover," Sara looked at the girl and her eyes softened.
Y/N sat up and smiled, her hazel eyes twinkling.
Looking at the teen's happy expression made her a little bit sad inside. She wished she could have more time to see her happy like this...
"Want pizza for dinner? You can pick a movie while I order it," she asked Y/N.
"Sure. Can we watch a horror movie?"
"Heh, sure. You sure you can handle watching a horror movie?" Sara teased.
"Yes," the teen giggled.
"Alright then. As long as you don't come crying to me if you get scared," Sara said jokingly and selected a horror movie.
"And if I do?" Y/N smiled, tilting her head.
"I'll hold you and make sure the scary monsters don't get ya," Sara smirked and put an arm around the girl's shoulder.
"Good plan," Y/N nodded
After the pizza and the horror movie, Y/N fell asleep on the couch. Sara watched the girl for a while then retrieved to her bed.
After some time Sara saw a figure standing in the shadows at the foot of her bed. It was Y/N. "Sara? C-Can I sleep with you?" the girl stuttered
"Of course, you can. Come here," she moved over and patted the empty space in the bed.
Y/N layed down and sighed.
"Sara?" Y/N looked at the blonde's eyes.
"Yes, Y/N?" Her eyes met the girl's hazel ones as she responded.
"You'll be okay. I promise," the girl said.
Her eyes widen slightly at the girl's words. A part of her wished her words were true. But deep down, she knew she wasn't going to make it...
"Thank you, sweetie. I believe you."
"I mean it, Sara," Y/N replied, sitting up.
Sara sat up as well, looking at the girl with a bittersweet look in her eyes.
"I know you mean it, sweetie..." her voice trailed off. She suddenly felt the desire to hold her tight. So she pulled Y/N close to her chest.
She held the teen tight against her, her head pressed against the top of her head. As she held her, she felt a strange sensation. Was it her imagination or was there a soft, white light radiating from Y/N? It felt as if her light was entering her own body...
Something odd was happening. Was it her imagination or was she... feeling better? As if the pain that had been holding her was no longer there. Sara couldn't explain it, it was like a miracle...
Y/N fell asleep, right there in Sara's arms. And for the first time in a while... Sara was able to fall asleep too.
It was morning, Chaz knocked on the door. "Hey, Sara, can I speak to you?" "In private," he added, glaring at the sleeping girl.
Sara glanced at the girl, who was still asleep, and then back at Chaz.
"Okay, sure," her voice still laced with sleep as she got out of bed and rubbed her eyes again.
"How are you feeling? Did you take your meds?"
Sara took a moment to consider the question. She felt different, lighter and more refreshed than she had in a long while...
"I feel... strangely good... and I haven't taken my meds yet, no..."
"I checked the neighbourhood, apparently no one has a kid named Y/N," he said. "I checked the local schools too. No record of her."
Sara ran her fingers through her curls, trying to process what Chaz was saying.
"But... that doesn't make sense. How can no one know her? Where did she come from then?"
Chaz and Sara walked up to the bed where the 14 year old was sleeping, Sara accidentally lifted the hem of her hoodie, seeing bright white wings on her back.
When she lifted the hem of the girl's hoodie, her eyes widened as she saw something strange on her back. She froze in place, shock and disbelief on her face.
She looked at Chaz bewildered, as if saying 'am I hallucinating or do you see this too?'
Chaz nodded.
Suddenly a realization came to her. She remembered the strange sensation she felt as she was holding the girl. The feeling as if a light was entering her body. It suddenly became clear to her... Y/N had healed her. She was an angel.
Soon the girl stirred awake, rubbing her E/C eyes.
Both Chaz and Sara watched as Y/N sat up and rubbed her eyes. She had a lot of unanswered questions, and she needed answers. She approach the teen and kneeled down in front of her, trying to keep her voice neutral and friendly.
"Hey, Y/N. Can we talk for a moment?"
Y/N nodded.
The blonde took another deep breath, steeling herself for the answer she might get.
"Where are you from? Do you have parents or a home anywhere?"
"I already said." Y/N tilted her head. "We just moved here- My parents and I-"
There was something off about her response. She suddenly seemed uncomfortable and nervous. Sara looked at Chaz, a questioning look on her face.
"Chaz, would you mind stepping out of the room for a bit? I'd like to speak with Y/N alone.."
She turned her attention back to the girl as soon as Chaz was gone. She looked her in the eyes, her face serious.
"Y/N, you're lying to me. Why are you lying? You don't have parents who just moved here, do you?"
"You weren't supposed to find out-" Y/N shook her head.
"Then why are you here? Why did you come to me?" Sara crossed her arms and stared at the girl, trying to figure her out.
"He sent me," Y/N pointed to the window to the sky.
Sara's blue eyes follow to where the girl pointed and she looked up at the sky outside her window.
"...You mean God? Are you an angel?"
The teen nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Seeing the tears on Y/N's face stirred an odd sense of protectiveness in Sara. She sat down next to her and put a comforting hand on her shoulder*
"Hey... it's okay... Why are you crying? Why would God send you to me?"
"Because- because you're gonna be my mom- But you got sick so that meant you wouldn't be my mom- So I had to heal you- I had to make you better" Y/N sobbed throwing herself in Sara's arms.
Sara was completely taken aback by Y/N's sudden outburst and her words. Sara was stunned and speechless as she held the teen in her arms, trying to process everything she said.
"Wait… what do you mean.. I'm going to be your mom?"
"I'll have to go soon- B-but y-you'll see... You'll see once I come back, mom. You'll find the answers to your questions," Y/N replied
The blonde felt a mix of confusion, worry, and a strange sense of protectiveness over Y/N. She held her tightly in a comforting embrace, trying to make sense of her words.
"Come back?… You're leaving?"
"I have to. I have no choice. But I promise I'll come back," Y/N whimpered.
Feeling a pang of worry and sadness at the thought of the girl leaving, she held her even tighter, as if her embrace could keep her from leaving.
"Promise me... promise you'll come back... I'll be waiting."
"Yes, mama. I promise."
The next day, Y/N was gone.
The years passed, and life went on. Sara met a man named Nelson, and they fell in love. They were happy together. Life was once again a celebration. However, as the years went by, she still held onto hope that she would see Y/N again. The thought of her promise to come back never left her. She waited and waited.
Soon Sara got pregnant.
One night, Sara had a vivid dream. In her dream, she saw Y/N's face. And suddenly, it clicked. She realised that the baby girl growing inside her belly was the very same girl she had been waiting for all these years. A wave of emotions washed over her as she woke up, realising the truth.
"How are you my love?" Nelson asked, carrying a cup of hot coco, as he kissed Sara passionately.
"I'm fine," the blonde smiled at Nelson, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness, her hand resting on her belly as Nelson lifted her shirt and kissed it.
"I had a dream last night. It was about her... In my dream, I realised that our baby girl... it's Y/N.”
"The Y/N you've been telling me about? Little angel that healed you?" he asked as he gave another kiss on her belly.
Sara nodded, her eyes welling up with tears of joy and disbelief.
"Yes... that's her. My little angel who was sent to heal me... who promised to come back to me..."
Nelson smiled, kissing her belly again.
"Hey Y/N, baby girl, mommy and I can't wait to meet you," he said talking to the belly, when the baby kicked.
Sara laughed softly as Nelson spoke to the baby and the baby kicked in response.
"She heard you. I can feel her moving," the blonde smiled, giving Nelson another kiss. "Oh, my Y/N," she caressed her belly.

Summary: You, a Never student struggling with failure and self-doubt, find unexpected guidance and tough love from Lady Lesso, who teaches them that true strength comes from enduring pain and turning it into resilience.
Warning(s): Hurt/comfort, mentions of failure and weakness, emotional distress, and mild language
The MAIN Masterlist
Late at night, the halls of the School for Evil were eerily silent. You hung your head low and approached Lady Lesso's office. The knock on the door was hesitant, barely audible, but Lesso was always aware.
“Enter,” came the cool, clipped voice from within.
The door creaked open, and you stepped inside, feeling the weight of the headmistress's sharp gaze immediately upon you. Lady Lesso stood by her desk, her hands resting lightly on the surface, posture straight, eyes narrowed.
“You’re late,” she said, her voice as cutting as always.
“I wasn’t sure if I should come at all,” you mumbled, the words stumbling out awkwardly. “I— I didn’t know where else to go.”
Lesso raised an eyebrow. “You? A Never? Unsure? Pathetic.”
You flinched at the word, the sting of it cutting deeper than any wound they’d sustained earlier. For a moment, you considered leaving, running away before your already shattered spirit could be broken any further. But instead, you stood your ground, shaking slightly as you balled your fists by your sides.
“I’m trying,” you said barely above a whisper. “But I— I don’t think I’m cut out for this. For any of it. I keep failing, over and over. Everyone sees it. I see it.”
Lady Lesso’s eyes gleamed with something unreadable, and for a moment, silence hung heavy in the room.
“Sit,” she finally said, pointing to a chair. Her tone left no room for argument.
You hesitated before shuffling over to the chair, sinking into it with a sigh. You winced as you moved, the pain of their injuries reminding them of the trials you failed earlier that day.
Without a word, Lady Lesso pulled open a drawer and took out a small silver case. Inside were various healing supplies. She moved toward you, her steps precise, as if every movement had been carefully planned in advance.
“Hold still,” she instructed, kneeling slightly to tend to your wounds. Her touch was surprisingly gentle, though her face remained as expressionless as ever.
“You think you’re the only one who’s struggled?” she said after a moment, her voice softer now but still cold. “That you’re the only one who’s ever been weak?”
You looked up, confused. “What do you mean?”
Lady Lesso’s lips twitched, a shadow of a bitter smile playing at the corner of her mouth. “You think I’ve never failed? Never been brought to my knees by this place or my own mistakes?” She shook her head, focusing on bandaging the wound. “You’re more foolish than I thought.”
You blinked, stunned by the admission. Lesso, failing? It was unimaginable.
“But... you’re strong. You never let anything get to you.”
“Strength,” Lesso said, pulling the bandage tight, “doesn’t come from avoiding pain. It comes from enduring it. Learning from it. Turning it into something that makes you unstoppable.” She looked you in the eye, her gaze piercing. “You let this weakness consume you, and you’ll be nothing. You’ll never belong.”
Tears welled up in your eyes, but they quickly blinked them away, biting their lip. “I... I don’t know if I can.
Lesso stood, crossing her arms as she looked down at you, her expression softening in a way that was almost imperceptible.
“You can. And you will.” She took a step back, her voice steady but less harsh now. “You’re in this school for a reason. The only question is whether you’ll decide to live up to it.”
You looked down, unsure, but a tiny flicker of hope began to spark within them.
Lady Lesso walked back to her desk, her back to you. “Now go. And don’t come back here again unless you’ve decided to stop wasting my time.”
You rose from the chair, still aching but feeling a strange sense of warmth from her words, as if they’d been wrapped in some unseen armor.
“Thank you,” you muttered, turning to leave.
Before you reach the door, Lesso’s voice calls out once more.
“Don’t make me regret believing in you.”
---
The door closed softly behind you, but even as you walked back through the darkened halls, Lady Lesso’s words lingered in your mind. *Strength doesn’t come from avoiding pain... It comes from enduring it.* The weight of those words pressed on you, filling their chest with both dread and determination.
You stumbled slightly as you walked, your wounds aching despite Lesso’s careful bandaging. The halls of the School for Evil had never felt so suffocating. Whispers echoed off the stone walls, whether from the castle itself or fromnyour own imagination, you couldn’t tell. Every failure seemed to trail after you, haunting your steps.
And yet... there was something else now, too. A spark, faint but there.
---
When morning came, you stood at the threshold of the classroom, hands trembling slightly as they grasped the door handle. The eyes of your peers turned toward you as you entered, and the familiar knot of anxiety twisted in your gut. You hadn’t spoken to anyone since the night before, still unsure if Lady Lesso’s words were meant to encourage or break you further.
You moved quietly to your seat, ignoring the whispers of a few other students nearby. As the lesson began, you tried to focus on the instructions being given, but your mind kept drifting.
"You’ll never belong."
The words of your classmates from days before echoed in your head, each one cutting deeper than any physical wound. Your fingers dug into your palms under the desk. No matter how hard you tried, it never seemed enough. Would it ever be enough?
But then, Lady Lesso’s voice rang clear in your memory. "You’re in this school for a reason."
It was the first time anyone had ever implied that you belonged here, that there was potential within you.
"Believe in yourself," you whispered to yourself, echoing her unspoken challenge. "Or no one else will."
---
By the time the class ended, your mind was made up. You couldn’t give in to the weakness clawing at you. Not now.
You made your way back to Lady Lesso’s office, uncertain why you felt drawn there once again. Perhaps it was to prove that you hadn’t been broken yet. Or perhaps it was for one more brief moment of the comfort she’d offered, even if it had been delivered in her own unique, harsh way.
When you knocked this time, the door opened faster, and Lesso looked up from behind her desk. She raised an eyebrow as you stepped inside.
“I told you not to come back unless—”
“I’m not wasting your time,” you interrupted, surprising even yourself with the sudden burst of confidence. “I’m... I’m going to get stronger.”
Lady Lesso leaned back in her chair, scrutinizing you with an unreadable expression. After a moment, she smirked—a small, almost imperceptible twitch of her lips.
“Then prove it,” she said, her voice low. “Don’t just tell me. Show me.”
---
The days that followed were filled with grueling trials, but you attacked each one with renewed determination. Every time you faltered, the echoes of your old insecurities threatened to pull you under. But you pushed forward. Each step, though shaky, was a step toward proving to yourself and to Lady Lesso that you were capable.
In the quiet hours, when the pain of failure felt too much, you'd find themselves returning to the headmistress’s office. And though Lady Lesso never coddled you, never truly comforted you in the way others might have, she was always there. Always offering a bandage, a reprimand, and just the smallest hint of belief.
---
Weeks passed, and you stood once again before Lesso’s desk, bruised and battered but still standing. The headmistress glanced at you, a fleeting look of approval passing over her face before she spoke.
“I see you’re still standing.”
“Barely,” you admitted, though there was a small smile tugging at your lips now.
Lady Lesso closed the book she’d been reading and stood up, moving closer. She studied you for a long moment, and for the first time, her voice softened. “Good. That’s all you need to do.”
You felt something warm bloom in your chest at the words. For the first time in a long time, you didn’t feel like they were simply surviving. You were growing stronger, inch by inch.
And Lady Lesso saw it.
