Officially putting this blog to slow activity. I’ve been very inconsistent with my activity so I figure I should specify that on my account. So that has been added to my bio.
I have also decided to retire my OCs. I just don’t have muse for them anymore. I really only have the desire to write canon muses. Of course, if I do starters and you have an OC you want to reply to the starter with, go ahead! I have nothing against writing with OCs at all.
Speaking of starters, I’ll be posting some soon. I have a few muses I really want to write at the moment.

“If you’re more comfortable with that idea. I know Armand altered memories that you have. If you think having a chaperone would ease your mind then we can have Andre or another come with us.”
He reached out and took Louis’ hand, squeezing gently.
“I want us to be something special, Louis. I feel as if you and I are two halves of the same soul. If that means that we ask others to come along on our dates then I am completely happy with it.”
He considered it but ultimately decided not to. He shook his head. “Just us. I’m fine with that.” He said. He wanted to see what Lestat was like alone. Without all of these people who could witness something.
He looked down at their joined hands but didn’t pull away. He didn’t want to pull away. Strange.
“I would like to feel that too. But we’ll see.” He said. He wasn’t going to make any promises.

“I shall start making arrangements as soon as possible.” Being an immortal and moving such great distances was difficult, although not impossible. He had come all the way from Europe many years earlier after all. “We can travel light, take only what we absolutely must. We can buy whatever we need when we get there. If we’re planning on moving around often, it’s best to have fewer trunks.”
He looked across at Louis, smiling as he saw the man appeared slightly relaxed for the first time in months. Perhaps he too was desperate to get away from New Orleans for a fresh start for the both of them. He enjoyed the way Louis brushed their legs together, a soft sense of intimacy between them. Something he had missed a great deal lately.
“Yeah, I think all of my things can fit into one trunk.” He shrugged. It wasn’t like he had much anymore. And he didn’t want to bring the super important things. He didn’t want to lose those. No, he’d put them somewhere safe. Where nobody could find them.
He looked over at Lestat and gave a small smile. “But maybe I’ll pick up more stuff as we travel.” He said. If only to play along. See if it could spark something in him that he rarely felt now. “Souvenirs and things.”

He says, “Oh no, no crazy parties, that would ruin the whole purpose of getting a place out in the country to enjoy the peace and quiet.” Glancing at the rooster, he says, “Well, if he get too much on your nerves, I suppose he can go into a pot for Sunday dinner.” “Thanks for the info, I think I’ll head for the county seat and see what I can find out.” “Have a nice day.”
@hxwlatthemoxn
“Great! You sound like a good neighbor already. Though if the rooster goes missing I know who to question about it.” She teased with a small laugh. As annoying as the rooster was, it’d been there for a while. She couldn’t bring herself to get rid of it. “Well, if you need anything else, you know where to find me.”

If at all possible, Lestat became even more pale.
“I have never done that either. We will have to learn together. Bowling, perhaps? I hear there are bars one can go to, for the express purpose of smashing things. That might be a good way to get out frustrations.”
Lestat smiled.
“Andre attends one regularly.”
“Damn right I do. Have to with dealing with you.”
Lestat chuckled.
“Never been. Sounds like it could be fun. You’ll have to teach me how.” Louis smiled, actually excited about the proposition. He didn’t know the last time he’d been excited about anything. Except maybe getting his story out there. But even then, the act of telling it was far less exciting.
“Will Andre be attending as well?” He asked. “A chaperone?” He teased.
He was pretty sure they didn’t need one. But the way his memories were, he wasn’t too sure if a fight would break out or not. They might need a mediator.

Lestat found himself smiling for what was perhaps the first time in months. He stopped playing, looking up at Louis. His words only stung mildly, for he couldn’t entirely fault him for wanting more out of his afterlife.
He moved over to where Louis was sitting on the couch. He was tempted to straddle his hips and sit in his lap but that type of intimacy had been lacking between them for over a year now. Instead he sat down beside him, brushing their legs together. “Tell me where you’d like to go and I shall start making arrangements.” He was desperate to get out of the place he’d once been happiest.
He watched as Lestat made his way over. He knocked his knee against Lestat’s as he sat down. “Let’s go to South America then.” He decided. “Start in the closest place and work our way down. Then maybe up north? The days are darker for way longer.” He informed him. It would be nice to enjoy his time much more.
He leaned back, putting his feet on the coffee table. “Make the arrangements. I’ll start packing as soon as possible.” He said, though made no move to get up.

Lestat was relieved to hear that Louis did not want to search out other vampires. So unlike the curiosity of Claudia that would eventually get her killed. The two of them were so blindly ignorant of the viciousness of their kind. Lestat had kept them sheltered here, tethered to the humanity they both so desperately clung to. The life of immortals was nothing like either of them imagined.
“Oh? Am I not enough of a silver lining already?” Lestat teased lightly, not sure if he wanted to hear Louis answer or not. Things had been so incredibly strained between them lately, they’d barely cross paths except upon waking and going to sleep. Louis company had been incredibly grating lately, his obsession with locating Claudia driving Lestat further into anger and dispair.
“You’re alright.” He teased, a smile on his face. “But I need more than people to be happy.” He shrugged, that part actually truthful. “You keep me entertained, but I want more out of life.” He lamented. “In addition to you.” He clarified quickly. He didn’t need another Lestat temper tantrum. That was his nickname for it. It made it funny.
“So we should go traveling.” He decided, sitting up again. He looked over at Lestat. “Have some adventure in our life. The fun kind.”

He says, “Loud, don’t think I would be, except when I’m asleep, I might snore, but, I don’t think you could hear that across the road.” Spotting a rooster, Joseph points and says, “That fella there might be more of a rabble rouser than I am.” He pauses, then says, “Then again, when I’m cutting firewood, a chainsaw is not exactly a harp when it comes to the quality of the noise it makes.”
@hxwlatthemoxn
“I guess I just mean crazy parties. Not used to those out here. But...” She trailed off and shrugged. “He can be a bit of a rude awakening some mornings, but he’s alright. Chainsaw doesn’t bother us much though. Don’t think you’d be too much of a disturbance.” She decided with a satisfied smile.

“Vampires could be anywhere.” Lestat would ensure whatever they visited or lived that Louis would be at no risk from a fellow immortal population. He had been doing that here for years, so nothing would stop him from continuing that if they left New Orleans.
“Hmm it sounds like you wish to travel everywhere.” Lestat smiled as Louis small spark of enthusiasm. He hadn’t seen that in a long time. “We can go everywhere and anywhere you’d like. Start in New York, work our way down to South America and then go to Asia.” They had endless time to enjoy everything the world had to offer and it felt almost exciting once more if Louis was by his side.
“I know that. But... most of the ones I’ve heard about hail from Europe. So I’m not that eager to go there.” He sighed as he draped himself on the couch. He closed his eyes and thought about it some more.
“I think that’d be nice. We might as well if we’re going to live so long. There has to be some silver lining to all of this.” He said, unable to stop himself from returning to those dark feelings he tried to keep hidden. They’d become a lot less hidden over the past few months.

“We never truly had a proper start. At least not by modern standards. Louis, I want us to get to know one another, as we are now. These new people that we have become. That is, if you are agreeable to it. Let us…date. Affections can be open in this day in age. I can hold your hand, walking down the street without fear.”
He frowned.
“You don’t have to pretend to be my valet any longer. You can simply be…my Louis.”
He considered it, really considered it. He knew they didn’t have to hide anymore. That was a relief. And he was curious about this Lestat. All signs pointed to yes. Though there was a little hesitance.
Still, he nodded. “Yeah, sure. I’d like that. I think.” He said. “Though I’ve never dated anyone in the traditional sense.” He joked. He couldn’t help it. Not when he had the experiences he had. Or at least thought he had.

Lestat looked up as Louis approached him, hearing the soft hollowness on his laugh. This was not unusual, The past few years had been stifling in this house, for that was what it had become. Not a home but a house. There was no joy or relief within these four walls. There was little more than pain and misery and despair. Yet, how could he ever have truly considered leaving his Saint Louis here alone? An afterlife without seemed unthinkable.
“We could go everywhere you would like. We could stay in the Americas if you’d prefer not to be far from… home.” Lestat had little interest in returning to Europe. There was nothing there for him and the covens there did not interest him. Besides, he would have preferred to keep Louis as far away from them as possible. If they thought he was wicked…..“What about South America?”
“What’s in South America?” He asked, squeezing Lestat’s shoulder before walking over to the globe. He looked at the continent, tracing it. “I think it’s warm. That could be good. But what about the sun? And any possible vampires?” He asked.
He didn’t like the idea of being found by anymore vampires. He was already attached to one, much to his annoyance. Though he wasn’t going to ditch Lestat. Sometimes he wished he could. “We could go to Asia too. Or up north. It stays darker up there for longer.”

He nods, then says, “I’ll have to ask about it at the county seat, see who has title and if they want to sell.” “It is a shame, I have seen a lot of farms that are abandoned, just left back to nature to take back over again.” “Not that there is anything wrong with that, but, it used to be someone’s home, sort of makes the place look lonely, no one living there anymore.”
@hxwlatthemoxn
“Yeah, that’d probably be the way to go. I don’t know exactly how, but I wouldn’t mind having neighbors.” She said, looking the other over. “As long as you’re not too loud or anything. It’s peaceful out here. No need to disturb it.” She joked.

Lestats fingers briefly paused on the piano, throwing off the rhythm of his playing. Where would we go? That, he had not anticipated. That Louis would want them to leave together. Hia fledgling had been so miserable and unhappy lately, Lestat had expected that Louis might be pleased to run away alone.
That had concerned him most of all. That Louis would be alone. He was a young vampire and his immortal age, combined with his…. poor diet, meant he was physically weak. He could overcome a human certainly, but another vampire? Impossible. Lestat ensured no other vampires were in New Orleans and if they did make their way here, they were quickly disposed of. Louis was at risk from them and he couldn’t allow that. Not that Louis knew any of this. The man didn’t want to hear that his metabolism was almost like a humans with his diet of breast and bird blood. How could he protect him if he left?
“We could go anywhere you wanted to.” Lestat continued playing, his gaze now up at Louis. Money wasn’t a problem and while it wasn’t easy to travel as a vampire, it wasn’t impossible. “Where would you like us to go Louis?”
“You’re the one that suggested a change of scenery. Where would that be?” He asked, looking around the house. He was only messing with Lestat. That at least brought him a bit of joy. Though the prospect of a new location was also appealing to him. He didn’t know how much longer he could hole up in the house for.
“We could go anywhere. Shit, I could just spin a globe and point. And we could go. How about that?” He laughed, sitting up. “Would that suit you well?” He asked, standing. He walked over to Lestat, staring him down.

Joseph had been just driving around, a road trip to escape the corporate rat race. That took him to this general area, and he thinks, “You know, this would not be a bad place to have a little get away to head to for a few weeks to get your head back in a good place.” Driving some more, he spots a for sale sign on one side of the road, the house almost rotted down to the ground. He pulls over, looks the plot of land over, thinking, “I could have a small house built here easy enough.” Seeing the active farm on the other side of the road from the plot that is for sale, he thinks, “Might as well ask the potential neighbors if they know anything about that place.” He pulls into the drive way, parks, then spots a woman doing some dirt work with a shovel. Walking up, he says, “Well Miss, I was wondering about that place across the road from yours, how much do you know about it?”
She looked up in the direction and shrugged, a small smile on her face. “Not much. Been for sale for as long as I can remember. Should have good land, but nobody’s done anything with it.” She explained. “I don’t know the full history though.” She added. “Never cared to ask. Not many people come up to see it. But it’d be nice to see the land getting some use out of it.”

violet had a humor to her thin bones. a humor that most people scout came inches from didn’t posses. today felt like a winning day from the mutual mischief both were seemingly craving. “ you’ve missed A LOT. ” deadpanned. it was all scout was willing to give while her fingers plucked off the needles from the tree. it felt meticulous considering she was about to knock the entire winter spruce over. “ my parents make such a big deal out of this tree. my mother LITERALLY sniffs each tree at the farm. it has to have the ‘right’ smell. winter evergreen. ‘too sweet.’ she’ll say. ‘smells unnatural.’ – it’s bloody nature. how more NATURAL could it get ??? ” clearly scout felt a disconnect with her family. “ you see ? they’re mental. so, yes, you will be hanging out with me after this, because i am in desperate need of company that is sane. - you don’t have a choice. though, it would be nice if you agreed to it. ”
She looked around the room, making sure no one was watching. She glanced back at Scout as she recounted her mother’s behavior, nose scrunching. “That is a bit weird, I’ll admit. Sounds like a full day event. For a tree.” She said, a hint of a laugh in her voice. It sounded ridiculous. “I highly doubt this is a sane thing to do though.” She pointed out. “Pushing over a tree to ruin a party. But at least it’s fun. On three?”
