Draco Malfoy headcanons

• Draco has always been good at the piano, ever since he got over the “girlyness” of it when he was just a boy. His mother insisted on him learning an instrument, as it was “traditional” for a boy to be well rounded in the arts. Once he realized how far it took him from reality, he played constantly, with his eyes closed, letting the music carry him away. 

• He is not a drinker. When he conducts business deals, he typically has a glass of firewhiskey with clients, but he saw too many drunken outbursts of his father’s when he was younger and Death Eater revels made him feel queasy, so the lingering smell of alcohol always made him feel uncomfortable. 

• Once the war was over and he was allowed to travel again (without the threat of Voldemort), he loved to visit Paris. His mother loved going there to shop when he was young, and the Wizarding museums there rang of his childhood. He took Scorpius there too, when he could. 

• Scorpius was told that if he ever used the word “Mudblood” he would be grievously punished. The word never passed his lips. 

• Draco Malfoy was the one who encouraged Andromeda to reconcile with Narcissa, though it took a lot of convincing and promising to babysit Teddy when the Potters were busy. 

• Because of Teddy, Draco accidentally became friends with the former Golden Trio (against his will, he claims, but he and Hermione had too much to talk about, he and Harry were too much alike, and Ron Weasley understood the pureblood traditions and stories that the other two didn’t). 

• Draco had a mental breakdown when his hairline started receding, and while he never went bald, it was always a sore subject after that. 

• After the war, Draco never slept without his wand under his pillow, forever paranoid that someone was going to take it and snap it. 

• Malfoy Enterprises, under Draco’s leadership, developed the spell that would allow the Dark Mark to be permanently Glamoured, since it could never be truly removed. 

I just have a lot of feelings about Draco Malfoy, okay???
