So it’s taken me 5 years to complete this series of posters (because I am lazy and get VERY EASILY DISTRACTED), and I feel weirdly emosh posting them all here together, all finished.

Dexter is still one of my fave shows ever, even though it finished years ago (and finished LIKE THAT 👀).

Also, my whole fan art style and obsession was hugely influenced by Ty Mattson’s designs for Dexter seasons. I loved them so much, I wanted to do something similar with books, including quotes - and that’s how my book collages were made.

But anyway. That was a fun run. Onto new projects!

she  listens  oh  so  attentively  to  her  father’s  words ,  pushing  herself  up  from  the  wall  she  was  perched  against .   gaze  diverts  away  from  the  window ,  the  pull  of  the  moon   severed .  fingers  mindlessly  leaf  through  the  mail ,  nothing  exciting  just  bills .   slight  twitch  of  her  lips  upward  at  his  question .  ❝ my  day  was  alright ;  just  had  school ,  soccer  practice ;  nothing  exciting . ❞   a  nonchalant  shrug  follows.  ❝ . . .  court ,  hmm .  i’m  sure  you’ll  knock  ‘em  dead . ❞   poor  choice  of  words ,  but  she  does  nothing  to  take  them  back .  ❝ ___  anything  i  can  do  to  help ? ❞    feet  carry  her  closer  ,  and  she  allows  her  head  to  rest  against  his  upper  arm .

        There was always something about the moonlight that Harieth was drawn to, more than anything - well, almost anything. There was one other element on Earth that called to the young girl, from somewhere deep within the recesses of her essence. Her focus tears away from it when she noticed her father, a smile coming to her face. It is slight, minute, but notable. “Hey, dad.” She greets him, her voice kind. Brows twitch as she observed the case file in his hands, head craning in curiosity. “Work stuff?” She had always had a rather morbid curiosity for her parents’ work, but as she grew older it became all too apparent that she was sometimes too smart for her own good. 

         The front door clicked shut behind him, his attention was on the mail in hands - bill, bill, advertisement for a place he’d never go to. A case file was held between fingers that weren’t holding the envelopes. Turning his attention to his daughter, a real, genuine smile is brought to his face.  “Hey.”  he replied, walking over. Mail is set down on the counter, the case file kept safely in his hand.  “Yep. I’ve got court tomorrow, figured I’d make sure I had everything memorized.”  He did, of course. Court never bothered Dexter. But he had taken an interest in this case, what happened tomorrow would decide if he had to let it go.  “How was your day?”
