➷ STORY;

Dilara was born into a family of high achievers and motivators. Her parents had a total of three girls, with Dilara being the eldest of the bunch by a ten year gap. With both her parents working full time and doing everything in their power to provide a good and stable home for them, she took up most of the caretaking duties around the home. Dee took care of all of her siblings from waking them up to get them ready for school to cooking the family dinner and cleaning the home.

Her mother didn't work as much as her father, but Dee found a passion in taking care of their home so she often encouraged her mother to relax while she finished up the chores. The two were extremely close and could talk about anything for hours and hours.

Having had such loving parents, she often fantasized about what her life would be. How many children she would have, and what their relationship would look like in the future. She wanted to have the perfect family and focused most of her youth on becoming a successful individual so that when the time was right she could focus on being a loving wife and a mother.

Dee followed in her father's footsteps after finishing high school and began her medicine career. She enrolled in medical school, quickly and easily acing through her courses with the help of her father. The two would stay up late at night reciting terms and descriptions back and forth over plates of bagels her mother would bring home from work.

Cameron had been in her life since she could remember. At first it was nothing but friendship between the two, although it must have been obvious just how much she liked him. The two grew up around each other, with their parents having met decades before, so there always was that allure of uniting the families.

It wasn't until their last years of high school when they started their relationship. Dee and Cam moved so fast that by the time they graduated high school they had began planning their wedding. They were both extremely dedicated and smart, and planned their lives well in advance. They knew what school they'd go, how long it would take them to graduate, where and how they'd live. Everything to the smallest detail.

( fertility struggles TW )Almost fifteen years into their life plan and Dilara was confronted with a realization that shook her life and threatened her marriage - she had difficulties conceiving. The following five years were some of the worst and most exhausting of her life. She's began to notice changes in Cam and their union. Most nights he wasn't coming home, and time he took off work were spent elsewhere.

Even though she knew what was happening, Dee wasn't ready to confront or even accept it. She had spent so much time and effort on the life they had build this long, so she chose to deep dive into her job and started IVF.

It took almost five years, but Dilara fell pregnant with their first born, Emre. For the better part of his arrival, Cam had seemed happier and came around more. It's as if the last five years hadn't existed at all. But then she fell pregnant again, which wasn't a part of the plans.

Emre's existence had been received like a blessing in comparison with his sisters. Having struggled so much to get pregnant, Dee took every possible precaution with her pregnancy and even after. She took two years off from work to foster her home. With Alana however, nothing had been planned. She didn't fit into their plans and this drove Cameron back into his detachment arc.

For the duration of her pregnancy Dee was practically all alone. Having had just returned to work she couldn't extend her leave and so she worked through it. She attended appointments on her own, decorated the nursery on her own, picked out names on her own.

While it wasn't the life she had planned, nor was it as perfect as she made it out to be, Dee was thankful for her children. A month into giving birth though, she returned to work - though working on her own scheduled time.

How did your muse spend their first night in Arcadia, and where?

After being enlightened on the other worldly phenomenon within Arcadia, Dilara was unsure of how to proceed. She was a woman of science and common sense, so the words Shaw spoke felt far too… unearthly for them to have entertained. Had anybody else informed her, Dee would have labeled them ‘creative’ and continued on her merry way. But the seriousness and grave in the woman's expression gave her pause. It would certainly would explain Shaw's own disappearance all those years ago. A thought that made the pit of her stomach drop. Goosebumps rose over their ethereal body, sending a shiver down her spine. There wasn't a single part of 'monsters in the night' that Dilara could wrap her head around without further proof - something that shouldn't be a problem with the rapidly approaching sunset - so while they waited for one of those things to come out, Rosa and her settled onto a pair of cots in the clinic.

Why did your muse choose to live where they do?

In an attempt to craft some normalcy, Dilara opted to live in one of the town houses with available room. She would have easily preferred her own space. Needing the room to try to accept the loss of her family as well as separate from the nightmare that the town provided, but there was also a fear of being caught alone with one of those things. Dee hadn't experienced half of what the rest of the town people had. She hadn't been targeted or suffered through sleepless nights in the woods, hadn't been injured or had her head messed with by one of Them, but the fear still ran through her bones with each look out the window.

What was your muse doing when they came across the tree?

A month into giving birth to her daughter - Alana - Dee had found herself back at work. She couldn't handle sitting around when there was so much work to do. That life had never been for her, so while she could have allowed herself more time to bond with her newborn she couldn't stomach the thought of abandoning a family in need. If her child had been at the mercy of another, she would hope the doctor was as dedicated as she. While she wasn't allowed to return to work fully, Dee focused on smaller cases. In one of her hospital's mobile clinics, she took to local shelters and foster homes aiding the youth as well as setting appointments for the greater cases. She'd been on her way out of work when she contacted Rosa for dinner plans. The two women hadn't had much chance to socialize - given she’d just given birth - so as a last minute plan, Dee picked her up. They had been on their way to dinner when the tree appeared before them.

Has your muse left anything behind that they are desperately trying to return to or escape?

All of her life Dilara had known who and what she would be in life. Her future having been diligently categorized and structured to fit into the perfect life she had always dreamed of. Her schooling came first, always, and with two parents in the medical field, it was only destiny she too ended up a doctor. Then, came her romance with Cameron Russell. Their parents had known each other for decades so naturally they grew up around each other. From early on, Dee could tell that was the man for her. Her future husband, and much like all of her other wants, this too came true. After marriage came years of career dedication until she fell pregnant with her first child Emre. Alana came only three years later, and not a month after Dilara came across the tree. There isn't a single thing in this world Dilara wouldn't do to return home to her husband and children. Her time in Arcadia may be unknown as of yet, but not a single day went by where she didn't think about or cry herself to sleep at the memories of their face.
