Dutton's nuclear power plan is a nonsense fantasy that makes no sense. The Coalition can't deliver it for decades and their costing that claims it's cheaper than Labor's electricity plan is an outright lie. The Coalition deliberately did dodgy accounting to get a lower number by assuming Australia will just use less electricity a decade from now as if electric cars will cease to exist and people won't use AC in the summer. It's not realistic.

Last time the Coalition promised a massive national infrastructure project that they wanted to save money on it was the NBN and that was promised for only $29 billion before DOUBLING in cost, construction delays that TRIPLED the rollout time, AND it was so bad it needed to be updated and replaced before completion.

Do we really want the same to happen for a decades long nuclear power project that we KNOW the Coalition has deliberately under costed? Dutton's nuclear energy could easily cost a trillion dollars and take 25+ years to finish if we're to apply the Coalition's infrastructure track record to it.

And then still increase energy prices on top.

Fuck that. The Coalition is pathetic.

General PSA but be extremely wary of self-defence advice you see online, particularly stuff aimed towards women.

The only good thing here is the advice at the end where he says be as violent as possible.

The technique is dreadful. It should be obvious that we should not be encouraging women to go to the ground when defending against an attacker - who is in most cases a man.

This type of flashy ‘All women should know this one cool trick’ content puts you at risk.
