mrs-elenaxsalvatore:
“I missed you too, little punk”, Elena smiled when he pulled away. “I’m not very into surprises, but I really liked this one. We haven’t seen since my wedding, right?”, she frowned before gazing her brother and Milo, “That’s Milo. He’s been with us since last year, and keeps me company at nights while Damon is at the bar”, she said and closed the door between them as they walked inside. “I know right? It was a bit hard for both of them to adapt in the beginning, but you should see both of them now…”, she said. She frowned again. It was great to have Jeremy back, but last time she saw him, she was still a vampire, and many things had changed since then. “It’s been really great, surprisingly, we’ve been safe and happy for a couple of months, but… Seriously? Damon and I having a dog is the only change you’ve noticed. I mean, do you feel any urge to stake things at all?”, she teased him.
“Yeah, I had a small feeling you might like this one.” Jeremy knows how worried his sister can get about him. Especially knowing what he’s been up to since he’d left. She couldn’t really talk him out of it but having someone who cared enough about his wellbeing made his already high willingness to survive that much more real. Elena was really all he had left and he’d hope by doing all he can to help people in need with the skill set of being one of The Five, that he’d make her proud. That he’d be making his parents proud and his Aunt Jenna and all the other people they’d lost. He pauses for a minute almost as if he forgets something. He furrows his brows and looks her over. “None, actually.” And sure, Jeremy had gotten better control of his urge to constantly be staking vampires, but this was different. Something was off. “What did you do? You did something...” He’s more curious than worried. In fact, he’s happy. Wanting to stab his vampire sister was not part of his surprise visiting plan at all. “Crap wait...” He itched his forehead. “Are you human?”

Leven had been allowed to spiral by the pure fact of everyone being too busy to notice. And she didn’t blame them. It wasn’t anyone’s job to check up on her or take care of her. No, that had always been her role. For whatever reason, though, she thought that once she was caught with supernatural drug enhancement that she’d be safer with the recreational crap. It had made her a lot of friends that night, most of which had left by now but that didn’t seem to put a damper on her mood. And normally, Jeremy would be exactly the thing she needed to sober up but even the sight of him couldn’t do it. When she turned she gasped, but in an excited way that caused her to throw her arms around him. “Jeremy, hey! When did you get back here? I’m so glad to see you!”
Her arms thrown around him caught Jeremy a little by surprise. He was mainly excepting a hit on his arm with her little hands or something of the sort but he just smiles and returns it. She’s glad to see him too? Sometimes, Jeremy couldn’t read her when they were together but he can admit it’s nice to see her in return. Because it had been. It was. “I’ve only been back a couple hours, actually. I’ve been with my sister all the way up until about twenty minutes ago.” Jeremy’s happy to see her happy and in fact, he’s trying to recall a time he’s seen her so smiley. “It’s awesome seeing you too. Could I ever let down the president of my fan club?” Of course, he’s taking another shot at teasing her. “You here on your own? Or did a friend drag you out here?” He’s curious.

Being in town had been about family. And how could Sam or Dean not be a part of that? Regardless if they accepted it or not, they were his brothers. Jeremy had looked up to them since the day they met and he hadn’t stopped now. They helped him realize the kind of guy he could be and unlike some of his other friends in the past, Elena thought they were a good influence on him. They made him a better person and though they had their problems, weren’t they just like any other set of brothers who occasionally squabble? He hadn’t let them know he was back in town. He’d been gone for so long. He threw himself seriously into his hunting. Jeremy had hardly spoken to any of his main ties to town if not only briefly, to let them know he’s not dead and they shouldn’t worry about him. He had to use the Hunter’s Mark he still had and the supernatural like strength and skill that came with him to good use. He was a machine. He had to hit snooze at some point though. Jeremy was just on his way to go stop by at Sam and Gen’s before catching him on the route there. “Hey, Sam!” He had a couple of stuff to give them and since he hadn’t officially met Parker, he came with a gift or two for her. “Long time no see. I was just going to stop by your place.” It was nice to see him. Great even. But he’s worried about seeing all these people he missed since being away for all these months, that he’d want to stay more permanently in his home town. @ofplaidiisms

Jeremy’s return to Mystic Falls was at least pretty permanent. For now, it seemed. He’d left for a multitude of reasons which all kind of got muddled together but he was doing well for himself. The Hunter’s Mark he had was only a curse if he let it be one and it was a gift. He used all his skills taught to him by the Winchester’s and became the best possible hunter he could be far away from the people who meant the most to him. He couldn’t cost putting them in danger and he needed to save people who actually needed him. That and enrolling in some online classes had Jeremy pretty occupied. Seeing Leven like this had him silently judgemental. It’s kind of funny. Kind of adorable. But also abundantly ridiculous. He’d never seen her so carefree and he’d be happy for her if it was ‘real’ and not a drug-induced facade. He could spot a drug user. Being a previous one. Being one who was practically surrounded by people who used. He probably knows he’s going to get a handful of words thrown his way or maybe even those tiny fists of hers if he approached her but for now, he doesn’t really care. He wants to talk to her. He tapped her shoulder and pretended to cough. “Sup. I didn’t know you had those moves in you.” He joked.
So she thought replacing her unconventional drug with a more public widely revered one would be a good idea, which it clearly wasn’t considering how little she ever drank in the first place. When she had, it was in the safety of her own home and alone which was for the better considering how much of a fool she was looking like now. Without even knowing her, you could tell she didn’t exactly fit in with the “in” crowd. But as the crowd was dying down, she was left as the only one twirling and flailing on the dance floor and requesting songs.

mrs-elenaxsalvatore:
On her nineth week, Elena hadn’t had many pleasant experiences with the pregnancy yet. Except for the the ultrassound appointment when she could hear her child’s heartbeating for the first time. Damon shared that moment with her, and it was perfect. Yes, she was happy… But she’d be happier if her brother was there too. She’s been sending voice mails to Jeremy, like how excited she was on starting her last year in pre-med school, and how she’d wished he could come home for thanskgiving. She didn’t say that Damon had taken the cure, nor that she was pregnant. Those weren’t news to be told through a voicemail or a text. Elena expected the morning sickness that has been kicking her ass would be gone by then, perhaps she’d be showing too. That weekend she and Damon was staying in Mystic Falls, precisely at the boarding house, figuring way to make the house safer for the baby in case they decided to stay in. She was at the kitchen when someone knocked on the door, and frowned. “That’s weird, don’t you think Milo?”, she talked to their fully grown husky. Damon had the key, and she wasn’t expecting anyone. Lily would probably call or message first. Milo sprinted to the door, and Elena ran calling for him. “Milo!”, she breathed, stepping ahead of him so she could open the door. “H…. Jeremy!”, the neutral expression on her face brightened up at the sight of her brother at the threshold. All the worry suddenly vanished away when she wrapped her arms around his and pulled into a bear hug. “I can’t believe you’re here!”, she smiled before pulling away, studying him closely, “You’re alright, right? Is that really you?”, she smiled, Milo jumping around them and waggling his tail.
Jeremy’s not surprised at the strength that his sister had pratically ran into his arms. He’d predicted it and was maybe half expecting her to hit him playful on the shoulder. But it does make him prone to laughter when she’s giving him the look over. “Yeah, I’m fine. I wanted to surprise you and calling would have taken the fun out of the whole surprise aspect of it all. And not to get real sappy or anything but I missed you. ” After pulling away, Jeremy’s attention went straight to Milo who’s lower down to the ground beside them. “And who’s this?” Jeremy crouches down to pet him for a small moment before making his way inside. “You know things have changed when you persuaded Damon into you guys getting a dog. I never thought I’d see the day that’d happen. How’s it going? You look good!”

Being away from Mystic Falls for so long had just become so naturally to Jeremy that somehow, in some strange way, he felt like a forgeiner to his home town. Being away from home wasn’t exactly hard considering it’s a hub for supernatural disaster, but he missed his friends and above everyone, he misseed his sister. He’d been around the states taking up hunts for his own. He had to put the gifts of the Hunters mark to good use somehow and all his time with the Winchester’s had prepared him. On his return though, he needed to make sure Elena was the first person he saw. That he was back perminantly and all those voice mails and thousands of calls, texts and emails were for nothing. That he was just fine and his big sister could stop worrying about him because he’s in one piece. He’s more worried about Elena kicking his ass more so than any vampire of demon or supernatural creature. And thankful, he had good control over the urge to kill vampires that he’s sure he won’t hurt his sister in away. That’s one of the reasons he took of if he was being honest. Knocking the door, he stood their nochalantly, half especting Damon to open up really. His bags by his ackles and grin as if he’d heard something funny when she opened up. “Surprise!” He waved a some jazz hands.

Matt: He's fictional????? He also has a martyr complex that's bigger than the sun and doesn't care if he lives or dies, so.
Matt: Great reassurance, man. Be sure to copy and paste that to send to Elena. I'm sure it'll go over SUPER well.
Jeremy: I've never connected with a character more?? And you're the Matthew shaming him. Wow.
Jeremy: What world do you think I live in?
Jeremy: But I'll be fine, dude. I promise.

Matt: Be careful, man. I'm serious. No blind acts of heroism, okay?
Matt: #longdistancegoals
Matt: When do you think you'll be back?
Jeremy: Why not??? Do you not watch Daredevil? He does blind acts of heroism every episode?
Jeremy: #youknowit
Jeremy: A month or two? If not, I'm dead and you should call for help.
