And if you fail you just have to do it until you succeed. By making something you cant make, you just have to think that you can do it and will do it and time goes by you created what you wanted.

Nightsky one of the best scenery at night. By looking at it or by looking at the sky at night. You remember the days when you were young and counting the stars. Sometimes by looking at the stars, you get the feeling that someone important to you is watching with you even from a far away place. Looking at the bright stars you can imagine someone you love is beside you, sitting together beside the street or at the balcony, holding hands together.

A night sky with full of stars and a full moon is just the best way to past time. M..H..L..K..L..Y..😊😊

MY EXPERIENCE IN 2020-2021

HAI! I AM BENHUR SACYAFEN, A 1ST YEAR STUDENT IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CORDILLERA TAKING UP BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CRIMINOLOGY. I WAS TOLD TO WRITE A BLOG ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE ON ONLINE CLASS DURING THE PANDEMIC.

CORONA VIRUS HAVE MESSED UP THE ENTIRE WORLD. A LOT HAS CHANGE TO A PERSONS LIFESTYLE. YOU HAVE TO WEAR MASK AND FACE SHIELD, ONE METER DISTANCE, NO MORE PARTY, TRANSPORTATION IS VERY DIFFICUT NOW A DAYS, AND THE EDUCATION SYSTEM CHANGED.

BACK FROM 2019 AND THE PAST YEARS, THE TRADITIONAL LEARNING MATERIALS ARE FROM STONE TO LEAF, FROM LEAF TO WOOD, WOOD TO CHALKBOARD, CHALKBOARD TO WHITEBOARD, FROM WHITEBOARD TO COMPUTERS. VIRTUAL SCHOOLING IS THE ONE BEING USED NOW A DAYS. THIS IS A VERY NEW STRATEGY FOR ALL .

We started online learning Back in September 2019 using zoom. It was very different from our traditional format and since it was very new people become “abno” ignorant to it. Some people is having a hard time learning it specially our older teachers. So they have to learn it from the beginning again. Zoom also need the use of internet and some places here in the Philippines doesn’t have wifi or strong data connection which they have to travel from a place to another just to find signal. Back in September, when classes start I was in our province and we don’t have a strong signal for data we have to go to town for signal and that is a 15 minute ride from our barangay it was very hard in the beginning. I have missed a lot of activities, lectures and quizzes. So I move to Baguio, away from my family to study. However, online classes allow me to work on my own and move at my own pace. I have time to focus on my studies.

However, I have now learned that I am really not the type of person who can stay whole day facing the computer. To be honest, I am having a hard time adapting the new way of learning. Sometime during zoom, I just turn off the camera and mute the speaker and sleep. During quizzes and exam I cheat. Sometime I don’t understand the lectures which is why I don’t attend. I am having a hard time. Online courses offer students the flexibility to learn in their own space and time, but that does not change the amount of work they have to put it in. My online learning experience as a student is not so good. I only like how I don’t have to wake up at 6 every day Also there are a lot of disadvantages of online classes such as:

Causes some health problems, especially for the eyes and nerves

This requires more time than on-campus classes and makes postponement easier.

Network issues may cause in rural areas which spoils some class.

Lack of recognition and lack of quality assurance in online education

Online courses create a feeling of loneliness.

Lack of development of communication skills among online students

Prevention of fraud during online evaluation is complex.

Online tutors focus on theory rather than practice

It does not have an instructor to teach you to stay at work.

For this, you have to take responsibility for your own education.

Taking online courses over the traditional face-to-face courses is not an easy route. Being in a physical classroom makes me only focus on my work, but online learning makes it harder to focus because I have to also focus on household stuff, and it throws me off. I would not want to do online learning in the future because it is hard for me to concentrate on my work only.
