Rock examined his hand.

"I don't get it, there's nothing there." he commented, it was obvious nothing was there, but he wanted to make sure. "Or, are you planning on showing me something?" he asked, crossing his arms and tapping his foot and was silent.

"....It sure is unique, I guess..." He spoke after a pause, nothing huh?

Was that all there really was missing? He could not believe it; it was way too simple and too ridiculous to create such secrecy from Rock- observant Phantom R here noted every step back and every pause as so much proof there was something more about the small device. But it was just a matter of minutes, for he knew his little gift would get the youth out of his shell. He just took an ill pleasure in letting the silence linger on, keeping his gaze fixed on the watch, just enough for one other to start doubting he believed that, before the laugh returned in his voice: “Fair enough! It would be inconvenient if someone could follow me, anyway.”

Thus he passed the watch around his wrist. “How does it look on me? Oh, wait, I still have a part of your gift to give you.”

His hand went inside his flat pocket, just to get nothing out of it, just a small gap of air in-between his fingers ; but the sound thief held it with a grand grin.

Rock took a little step backwards.

"Naturally! I made it as close to mine as possible, but I will admit, there's one thing missing from yours..."

"And that's the person to lab communicator, I mean, if you had it, it'd take away your 'Phantomesque' ways and well, I could track you and that wouldn't be fun for ether of us." And MegaMan he meantally added with a small shrug. "So I didn't bother to add it, I hope you're not too mad."

“Who knows,” he let pass with a finger over his lips, entertaining the possibility. Actually, there was an actual phantom of Phantom R that he knew- thanks to the multiverse! So Rock’s thought probably amused him more than it should.

Not for long, though, because as soon as he offered the watch to him, he took it, marveling at the design under the dim light, in a grave, silent- but cheerful- judgment. Until a little thoughtful frown took its place on his features. He liked the color, he liked the form, he liked the absence of ticking sound it would make as he tilted his head and ear over the dial. But…

“Is it really the same as yours?” Phantom R may have looked a bit scatterbrained, but he gave peculiar attention to details; and this watch had one or two buttons missing from Rock’s own design, and he knew the secret behind.

With the voice, Rock jumped and turned around, there he was, so it did work like that after all!

"You really did do what I said 4 weeks ago...amazing...You really are like a Phantom, are you sure you really aren't one?" he shook his head, of course R wasn't.

"And yep! here it is! I'm pretty proud of it myself." he held it out to the other with so much pride.

“No need to yell,” came the smooth surprise of a voice over Rock’s shoulder.

He had just finished picking up the unique gift he had chosen for the youth in exchange for the wristwatch he was promised, and was excessively content of his choice- to him, it was nothing that special, but he hoped it would get him to talk about all the secrets he alluded and eluded with skill until ‘a later date’, which the thief decided would be that very day. He was amused to hear the other call him so vehemently- though it might be prudent to do so, knowing Phantom R’s ill reputation in Paris. And decided to surprise him in the very own fashion he suggested: sneaking through the window, back flipping, passing his head over the shoulder of the petite body and talked as if he had always been there, tranquil, slightly mocking.

“Is that my watch? It’s amazing,” he went on without any variation.

"Who am I...? ha, it's clear now! you're an alternate!" close Rock, but no cigar on that one.

"But on the name thing, the names Rock Light, I'm a scientist and I believe you on the scary thing, just this once." He crossed his arms, maybe this person knew about the R he met...? some info to clear up the fog around him might be nice, but, it was best to hold off any questions.

A laugh slipped from her lips and she gave a tilt of her hat. "No fooling you, huh? Well, for today at least I’m Phantom R!"

"And it’s not too bad, trust me. Not unless you go looking for scares." Which she’d probably end up doing from the safety of her living room. A solitary scary movie marathon with candy? Yes please!

"Anyway, who might you be?"

"Hm...Yeah okay, I suppose I'll take it." he sighed.

He back up a bit at the others statement.

"Halloween or not, I have a huge fear of ghosts!" Oh yes, the man of complete science Rock Light everyone. "So I'd be more than spooked!...although I do like candy."

Charlie noticed the odd look he gave her and had to suppress a grin. Oh, so this person knew the true Phantom, did he? Her costume apparently didn’t fool him completely, but it was amusing that it was good enough to make him take a second look.

"I’m Phantom R, but of course you already knew that, didn’t you?" She quipped, indulging in her mischievous Halloween spirit. He could have been asking who she was dressed as, for all she knew!

"Ah, I know the feeling. But come on, Halloween means candy! I’ll put up with a couple of spooks for some candy."

Ah! It was finished! the watch he was making for that mysterious thief Phantom R, why he wanted one was still beyond him, but nonetheless, Rock made one anyway.

He gave it a small marvel, ah yes, a pretty thing indeed, but something came to his mind, how was he supposed to call Phantom R? he just appears, kind of like a Phantom(Rock sees what you did there Phantom!), he gave it some thought.

"Phantom! Phantom R! I finished your watch! come out come out!" Well, Rock saw no point in that, but it was worth a shot, he guessed.
