I've been wanting to do an "Old Man Shepard" render for a long time, just took a while to find all the right parts edit all the textures. Can't wait for the <i>Well Actually...</i> crowd to insist that poor Shepard will be long dead before any little blue babies reached adolescence. They're the worst.

I finally got around to to recreating the version of Shepard's armor I used in ME3. It only took me five years! It's primarily the default N7 armor but with the Serrice Council chest piece, tinted gunmetal grey, with Alliance blue and white stripe. I mainly ran with Garrus in his default armor and Liara in her From Ashes armor, so I felt compelled to color coordinate with them. XD

Mass Effectively Ever After - The Cerberus Remnant

In the years leading to the Reaper War, the Cerberus cell codenamed "Project Dominance" was was one of the largest and most well funded private military organizations in the galaxy. Recruiting the most fanatically anti-alien soldiers and scientists from within Cerberus' own ranks, Project Dominance saw themselves as the last, best hope of the Cerberus' Earth First movement, as well as the elite guard of human purity. They were Cerberus' premiere rapid response military unit, quick to defend human interests against Bartarian slaves and mercenary raiders. Many colonists in the Terminus systems even hailed them as heroes.

But when Cerberus' leader, The Illusive Man, began experimenting with Reaper technology, implanting himself and his soldiers with Reaper cybernetics, Project Dominance saw that as an affront to their human purity ideology, and went rogue. During the war they fought valiantly against the Reapers in the Terminus systems, not for any ideological reason, but purely for survival, along with the rest of the galaxy. And like the rest of the galaxy, they suffered devastating losses, but they were victorious.

Now, years after the defeat of the Reapers, Project Dominance sees themselves as the true continuation of Cerberus and it's humans-first, anti-alien agenda. Slowly rebuilding in the outer Terminus Systems, they themselves have become raiders, pirates, and slavers, seeing any non-human colony as a target. Sometimes striking as far in as Outer Council Space, Alliance Intelligence estimates their troop numbers in the hundreds of thousands, their slave and prisoner population in the millions. Referred to inside Council space as the Cerberus Remnant, they have been emboldened by humanity's integral role in winning the war., and even uses Commander Shepard's imagery as the first human Specter and savior of the galaxy, as a recruiting tool.

The Remnant is lead by the young and enigmatic Grand Admiral Evy Wolffe. Other than her masterful understanding of tactics and her ability to inspire fanatical loyalty among her followers, very little is known about her. In a strange twist, Salarian Intelligence suggests she was an orphan of the First Contact War, and may have even been fostered by a noble turian family.

Mass Effectively Ever After - To School!

Krae'Vakarian nar Normandy experiences the humiliation that every child of a doting mother suffers... and in front of is friends too! I teased the adopted son of Tali and Garrus way, way back in Amok Time but I never rendered a pic featuring him front and center, primarily because I thought it was a little odd having kid quarian running around the Normandy in a full enviro-suit while his mom was fine in normal clothing. By the time I got around to making this set years later, I had finally found the right combination models to make a convincing quarian child, at least convincing enough for me.

Mass Effectively Ever After - Partaking in PortObs

Though Tali's immune system has strengthened well past needing an emergency induction port, old habits are hard to break. I recently decided to pick up the original Mass Effect trilogy again to wash away the filth I felt playing Andromeda, and wow! I had nearly forgotten what wonderful characters we got in the OG trilogy. Just some great characters, all with motivation and purpose, and little to no squeeing, self-fellating, Joss Whedon-esque, cutsey dialogue. Just wonderful! So I felt compelled to dig out some old models and pay homage to some old friends. This will be a new series (as long as my creative juices keep flowing) further expanding my headcanon established in the Afterword and Zia sets. This headcanon essentially sees the crew of the Normandy traipsing around the galaxy having Star Trek: The Next Generation-style adventures and such. :-D Tali is a new build/hack using g1pno's nude Tali based on Kat from the Devil May Cry reboot, replacing the old one using Plasmid's version.

Zia Shepard

Like many, I found Mass Effect 3′s ending somewhat... ahem, lacking. Bioware teased us with the possibility of a happily ever after with little blue babies, but ultimately gave us a dead protagonist and an irreparably damaged universe (along with an irreparably damaged franchise to boot! Great job BW!). The Extended Cut dlc was a nice gesture, but you can’t polish a turd.

It wasn’t until 2014 that I felt comfortable enough in SFM to render this set and joined the many other fans who rejected the endings Bioware gave us and created their our headcanons. I think I caught lightning in a bottle with this series because they got a huge amount of favorites and comments on deviantArt. I can’t claim ownership of the little blue babies concept, since I was inspired by some beautiful illustrations or asari babies, but I may have been the first to do it with in 3D with the actually models ripped from the game. Just to toot my own horn a bit. :-D

Alliance Colors

I picked up the original Mass Effect after not having played it in almost four years. I guess I needed a reminder of what real Mass Effect was after the massive bowel movement that Andromeda was. ME1 has aged remarkably well, though its gunplay is still terrible.

I always found it kind of strange how in ME3, the Alliance was suddenly colored blue and white. I clearly remember seeing Alliance ships with blue and red livery, including the first Normandy. Not that I’m complaining, I think the colors look great. I guess Bioware realized that omission after they gave Cerberus their iconic black/white/yellow color scheme.

Anyway, here are some retextures I did to give my headcannon characters a more consistent look.
