hey!! i’m not trying to be rude, i actually love your stuff lol. but your border(the red thing) is a lot of times the header of a tag(i.e. when you preview the tag it’ll be taking up the top of your device), and so as someone who experiences photosensitive seizures, this could trigger seizures. you could probably change it to just red or a pattern that’s simple and isn’t flashing.
i just thought i’d let you know so other people who experience seizures could avoid this problem in the future.
i understand! thanks so much for bringing this to my attention. i’ll edit all my posts now! 🫶
so sorry for the inconvenience :/

Ok so imagine like the reader is super sick, like sneezing and sniffling and stumbling around. The thing is that they insist they are fine, and they want to hang out because everyone else is having fun at like a sleepover or something. Everyone else sees theyre sick, and they need them to sit down and rest but theyre like "nooo i wanna hang out"
Eventually theyre forced to lay down with everyone else because they formed one of those cuddle piles on top of them and watched a movie
this was such a sweet request anon! i have to admit that this fic wasn’t my best work though. i hope you still love it <3

𝜗𝜚 just rest · sbg
summary. you insist that you’re not that sick, but the group just isn’t having it. they know just the trick to get you to you rest.
𝜗𝜚 sbg x platonic reader, fluff, sickfic, 0.9k words, masterlist
𝜗𝜚 warnings/notes: i feel that this isn’t my best, so i hope you still like it!
𝜗𝜚 based on this request!
𝜗𝜚
You knew when you woke up this morning that today was going to be a tough day. Your nose was stuffy, your head was clouded, and unfortunately, you were as stubborn as usual.
You weren’t about to let something so small ruin your day. It was Saturday, and you and the group had planned a fun hangout in the evening.
Your first mistake of the day was getting up early. You were supposed to meet up at 6:00 P.M. but once you woke at 7:00 A.M., you couldn’t seem to fall back to sleep.
You took some meds and did all the things you could think of, but it only helped slightly.
You left the house that evening anyway.
You didn’t have a license, but the walk to Aiden’s house wasn’t far. It seemed that didn’t matter though, because your head was so foggy that the walk felt like it dragged on forever, and you began to feel a headache coming on.
By the time you were starting to feel the tiniest hints of regret, Aiden’s house was in view, and you could’ve cheered with relief.
You rang the doorbell, and as you waited, you hoped how you felt wasn’t too obvious on the outside. You were determined to have a good time tonight. You deserved that much.
Eventually, the door opened and all your hopes and dreams were crushed. Ben opened the door—he’s far too observant. You felt made of glass as his eyes squinted and he tilted his head a little. Your legs started to feel like jelly beneath you, your exhausted body needing rest after the walk. By doing hardly anything, you had pushed yourself too far.
You sniffled, and internally sighed when Ben squinted more. “Can I come in?” Instantly, Ben grabbed you by the arm, pulling you in gently. Closing the door behind him, he guided you to the living room where you could hear laughter and loud voices. It was a bit too much for you at the moment.
“Oh, well look who it is!” Aiden called as he glanced at you briefly.
Ashlyn turned to look, then mimicked Ben’s look. “Yeah…” She said.
Taylor sat up a little straighter, holding a bowl of chips. “Are you okay? You don’t look so good.”
“I’m fine.” You said. The universe must hate you, because you sneezed immediately after.
“You’re obviously lying.” Tyler crossed his arms.
You were disappointed that you were caught so easily. You just wanted one night to relax and have fun, but under all their stares, you felt so defeated.
“You should sit down…” Logan said, looking concerned. “You’re sick.”
“I’m not.”
“You are.” Aiden said, standing up with his signature smile. “And if I’m agreeing with them, maybe you should sit down.”
“I’m not— look, I’m fine. Don’t worry.” You wondered how pathetic you looked, standing their unsteadily and insisting that you’re so okay, but you were determined to have a good night.
“Just sit down. We can still hang out, if you’re so stubborn.” Tyler said. You supposed that was true, and once you sighed, Ben led you to the blankets and pillows on the floor. Your body was overcome with relief as you sat down. A hand rested on your shoulder, and began to push you to lie down lightly.
Your sick mind felt betrayed. A trap!
“Hey,” you shrugged Taylor’s hand off you. “I’m fine like this.”
“Fine?” Ashlyn sighed. “You’re being ridiculous. Just lay down.” She poked you in the shoulder.
“No.”
There was a heavy sigh, and you looked up in Aiden’s direction. “Well,” he shrugged, “if this is how it’s gonna be, time for plan B.”
“Plan B?”
Startled, you felt your body being pushed into the comfort of the pillows, a heavy weight on top of you. Blond hair tickled the bottom of your chin, and you scoffed. “Seriously? Get off me! I can’t even sit, apparently.”
“You need rest.” Aiden said. It upset you how pleased with himself he sounded.
It wasn’t long until someone settled at your right, an arm draping over you and Aiden. “He’s right, we can hangout again in a few days. No big deal. Just listen and rest. You need it.”
Ashlyn ended up on your left, lying similar to Taylor, with an arm over you and Aiden. Soon, a cuddle pile began. Tyler squeezed in next to Taylor, Logan found himself comfortably on top of the pile, and Ben tucked himself next to the couch by your heads where you could lay your head on his torso for comfort. Absolutely ridiculous, that you found yourself growing tired.
Tyler started reaching around blindly, finding the remote. “Someone pick a movie.” He held the remote in the air above them. Taylor snatched it from him and picked one that you didn’t even have the energy to pay attention to, your eyes already closing.
“If you get me sick I’ll kill you by the way.” Tyler grumbled lightheartedly.
Suddenly you felt bad. In the stubbornness of your sick mind, you hadn’t even been thinking about that. You had only been thinking of yourself. “Oh, guys I didn’t even—“
“Don’t worry about it, halfwits just being a halfwit.” Aiden chuckled. “Besides, no sickness can get me down!”
This made you laugh, but you still felt guilty.
“Stop worrying.” Ashlyn said. “We don’t mind.” She said a little softer.
“Yeah, honest.” Logan said.
To show his agreement, Ben placed a hand on your head.
You felt so warm and loved, you couldn’t even begin to find a way to voice your thanks. This group stumbled into your life so suddenly, and you were eternally thankful for it. Nothing made you feel more at home than they did. They were your joy. They had made their way into your heart so unexpectedly and you were glad they had. You hoped they knew that.
“Just rest,” Logan said, already beginning to grow tired if his yawn meant anything. “We’ll be right here.”

𝜗𝜚 wisdom teeth · sbg
summary. you get your wisdom teeth out a little earlier than expected, and now you have six people trying their best to help you.
𝜗𝜚 sbg x platonic reader, headcanons, fluff, 0.8k words, masterlist
𝜗𝜚 warnings/notes: blood, not set in any specific time, thought this was a silly idea, apologies for ashlyn’s being so short.
𝜗𝜚
Most people got their wisdom teeth out around 18 years old, so it was only natural to be devastated when your dentist told 16 years old you that you were going to have to schedule an appointment to get yours out.
You, at the very least, thought that waking up after the surgery wouldn’t be too bad… it should be totally fine.
Either way, you texted the group about it (freaking out) and got a comforting response or two (Aiden laughed).
Presently, it was going just about as well as anyone expected.
ASHLYN BANNER
Ashlyn was a calm presence in a wild storm. She knew what to do, when to do it, and how to get Aiden to stop make you crying.
She was good at making sure everything was done on time (having your gauze replaced when needed, taking pain meds and antibiotics at the right time).
She was not prepared for you to fall asleep against her. She was still getting used to the whole ‘friends’ and ‘comforting touch’ thing. She let you rest though. You’d need it to heal better.
AIDEN CLARK
Maybe he should stop joking about the tooth fairy ignoring your teeth under your pillow tonight. How was he supposed to know that would make you cry? He thought it was funny.
After that whole mess, he thought maybe a blanket fort would be the move. Some blankets and pillows on the ground? Ultimate comfort for your healing! He got to work straight away while you fell asleep against Ashlyn’s side (he made sure to take pictures, obviously).
“Now this is what we need.” He said as he admired his work. Not too bad.
When you eventually awoke, your eyes caught the blanket fort and you cried (not actually, this time) with glee. You mumbled through your gauze, giving your thanks, and sat down on the blanket fort straight away.
Aiden must’ve outdone himself, because you went straight back to sleep.
BEN CLARK
As expected, Ben was in charge of helping you change your gauze.
In the beginning while you were still woozy, you slapped his hand away and insisted you do it yourself. Ben remained calm and watched as your hand kept missing your mouth (“Are they doing that on purpose?” Aiden asked.)
He eventually helped you change your gauze when you started to cry because you couldn’t do it, and he helped you every time after that.
He was comfort throughout your healing, especially the beginning.
“I should make Ben a thank you card.” You said woozily. “I’ll surprise him with it.”
Ben cracked a smile from next to you.
TAYLOR HERNANDEZ
Taylor decided that after your ‘super terrible, genuinely awful, horrendous start to my day’ (your words, not hers), she’d get you a slushie. There was a place down the street from your house, so she and Tyler got some for everybody.
When she and Tyler returned with the slushies, she let yours warm up a bit so it wasn’t too cold after your surgery, and handed it to you.
You looked down, noticing the lack of a lid, and the spoon in one of her hands. “Where’s my straw? I deserve a straw.”
Taylor opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted. “You don’t get one.” Aiden said.
His words came out completely wrong, and he realized the moment tears shone in your eyes. “Wait, that’s not what I—“
“Aiden.” Taylor turned to him, smiling harshly. She turned back to you. “You can’t use a straw for a while. Not while you’re healing.”
Eventually, you started to eat? Drink from a spoon? While side eyeing Aiden. The slushie was good, but it would taste better with a straw.
Taylor was another main source of comfort during your healing. She squeezed your shoulder when you got frustrated or felt pain, and was by your side through as much of it as possible.
TYLER HERNANDEZ
Tyler did his best, but how was he supposed to help you when you were as sensitive as a child?
He brought some slushies, sure, but the rest of it wasn’t really what he was best at. Best to leave the medicine and the gauze to the others.
When he sat next to you in the blanket fort while you began to enjoy your slushie, you looked at him. “Thank you for the slushie.” He supposed he was doing okay, then.
The worst part was when he looked over Ben’s shoulder, and witnessed the moment you saw the blood on your gauze.
“Oh, my God! I’m bleeding out. Someone catch me before I faint!”
“You’re not gonna faint! You’re fine!”
LOGAN FIELDS
Logan was watching like a hawk. Were you getting your medicine at the right times? Were you taking the right amounts? Were you eating carefully enough?
When you fell asleep and started to tilt sideways, he straightened you out carefully. You couldn’t disturb your gums, you needed to sit up!
At one point, it was awfully silent in the house, so you asked Logan about the stars. He was happy to tell you about them, even as he watched you start to fall asleep.
Logan was sure to make sure you ate the right foods that were gentle on your gums, and that everything was the right temperature. He also helped make sure that you were using ice properly/at the right times.

𝜗𝜚 ballet · sbg
summary. growing up, ashlyn had one friend from her ballet class. now she has six friends. how would they all get along?
𝜗𝜚 sbg x platonic reader, headcanons, fluff, 0.9k words, masterlist
𝜗𝜚 warnings/notes: not set in any specific time, hopefully good characterization—i'm still new to writing these guys, hopefully i put enough ballet stuff in here! i did my best.
𝜗𝜚 based on this request!
𝜗𝜚
You were... a bit surprised, to say at the very least. You noticed that you'd been seeing less and less of Ashlyn recently, but she had always kept more to herself anyway, and she texted you saying that she was fine.
Apparently she was not.
Ten minutes ago, she invited you to her house—to hang out with her five other friends. Was everything okay? Where did these people come from, and what did they do to Ashlyn?
When you arrived at the school bus graveyard for the meet up, you were even more baffled. These were the people Ashlyn was now friends with? How strange...
"Oh," Ashlyn said as she spotted you. "Guys, this is my friend (Y/n), from ballet. Don't scare them away." She said, her eyes drifting to a boy with blond hair.
ASHLYN BANNER
Did Ashlyn think this might be confusing for you? A bit weird? Yeah. She did. However, and shoot her if she ever says this out loud, she was starting to miss you. Maybe this hangout would be an okay thing do do?
She very intently ignored every look you gave her throughout the evening, but started to relax as you did too.
She was glad to see you starting to actually have fun with the group, and you were even able to joke around with Aiden without thinking he was weird even though you just met. How did you do that?!
Ashlyn wasn't so sure on telling you about the whole "phantom dimension" thing just yet, but perhaps just forgetting about every problem like this was a good idea. She actually had fun tonight.
AIDEN CLARK
You thought he was strange, but he was funny. You couldn't deny that with the way he kept making you laugh.
Aiden was surprised that Ashlyn had another friend. He thought she didn't do friends? Well, who cares? Does this friend want to watch him backflip off a school bus?!
(You said no. That's stupid.)
When Ashlyn said that she met you through ballet classes, he was super interested ("Can you turn into a pretzel? Ashlyn likes to do that.")
BEN CLARK
You learned quickly that hanging out with Aiden, meant hanging out with Ben. Wherever Aiden was, Ben was there too. You didn't mind, and you also didn't mind that he didn't talk.
After Ashlyn's introduction, he wasn't the first to react, but he was very kind when he did. He held up a note that said "Nice to meet you. I'm Ben."
Ben, as observant as he is, could tell that you were very kind. He saw it in the way you greeted them so warmly and so openly—despite Tyler's standoffish nature and Aiden's loudness.
He appreciated that you were so quick to treat him so kindly, and that you didn't stop to stare at him strangely for a moment or two. He knew that some people won't always react in the kindest way to his silence, but you did.
As a lover of music, Ben had an appreciation for the arts. He thought it was cool that you did ballet, and asked a few questions about it with his notepad ('Are you preparing for any roles right now?', 'Have you ever gotten any serious injuries?')
You were happy to answer his questions—he was so easy going and nice to talk to.
TAYLOR HERNANDEZ
Taylor, sweet and bubbly Taylor, she welcomed you with open arms, of course.
From the moment you met her, you couldn't help the way you thought so kindly of her. She was so nice, how could you think anything different?
She thought it was so cool that you also did ballet. Maybe you'd teach her a simple move or two if she asked later? She was no dancer herself, but she admired the art of it.
If you also enjoy mechanics, she would be overjoyed to talk about it. You would have so much to talk about!
Basically, you've officially found yourself a new best friend.
TYLER HERNANDEZ
Carrot top has a friend of her own? That was a shock.
Now, in the first ten or so minutes, he wasn't really jumping on his feet to introduce himself or anything. Just a simple "hey" would do.
But, since he and Taylor are basically stuck at the hip, hanging out with her kind of meant hanging out with him. He wasn't exactly pleased about it in the beginning.
After some time, he started to relax (read: less bickering.)
He started seeing how well you got along with Taylor, and he started to ease up. Besides, you seemed nice enough anyway. Just because he wasn't too keen on having friends doesn't mean he had to act the way he was to you.
He thought it was kind of cool that you did ballet, but no he wouldn't say that out loud?? Of course he wouldn't!
He couldn't help but to be curious of how good you were. Did you have a favourite performance? How long have you been doing ballet?
LOGAN FIELDS
Logan, the poor boy, was rather timid. Though he was timid by nature.
You made sure not to be too overwhelming. Some people needed their time to open up and relax, and you were fine with that.
Logans first impression of you? Kind. He liked how you were so gentle hearted and always knew what to say when it got a little too quiet mid conversation.
If you liked astronomy he would be overjoyed to talk about it with someone who likes it as much as he does. Maybe he'd be a little nervous here and there, but he'd be grateful to have a topic he was confident in.
He thought your background in ballet was interesting, and had some questions himself ("Doesn't it hurt to stand on your toes?", “How long are you able to stand on your toes? Or how many spins can you do?")
You answered his questions gladly, and asked him some questions about his hobby as well. You could see a friendship blossoming here.

𝜗𝜚 growing up · taylor & tyler hernandez
summary. growing up, taylor and tyler were your best friends. you’re learning to be that close again.
𝜗𝜚 taylor & tyler hernandez x platonic reader, fluff, angst, 1.2k words, masterlist
𝜗𝜚 warnings/notes: not set in any specific time. hopefully good dialogue at the end (i’m not too confident in my dialogue writing skills). WAYYY longer than i intended on. it’s not 10k words or anything, but i started this draft with the intentions of writing a drabble or something, then realized how could i?? when there was so much background info to be written??? so i very much hope you enjoy this as much as i enjoyed writing it <3
𝜗𝜚 based on this request!
𝜗𝜚
Growing up, you didn’t have any siblings. You always looked at other families and wished you could have one. With each birthday that passed, your wishes were usually the same. ‘This year, I want a brother or a sister.’ Maybe the wish never came true because you said it out loud? You never were supposed to tell your wishes—people always said that they wouldn’t come true that way.
It wasn’t until you were entered 4th grade when you were 9 years old, that you met a very interesting duo. You shared a class with the two of them for the first time in all of your school years.
“Are you guys brother and sister? You look a lot alike.” You had said.
The boy gave a very dramatic sigh. “People always ask that. Yes, we’re twins.”
“Tyler! Be nice. I’m Taylor by the way!”
You laughed. These two were very interesting indeed.
By the time a week had past, you weren’t continuously complaining about the school work like you usually did, you were talking about your two new best friends. How easy was it to make friends as kids?
“Mom! Today Tyler and Taylor and I played tag with some of our class. Tyler kept catching me though. He’s too fast!”
Eventually, the three of you got a little older, and you grew even closer. You had sleepovers, tried out their hobbies (maybe baseball wasn’t your thing, but mechanics was fun), and convinced either your parents or theirs to take you to see the newest movie in theatres on weekends. You couldn’t imagine anything better.
A year after that, everything was different.
The twins didn’t show up at school for three days, and you were starting to get concerned. This wasn’t like them. It wasn’t until you overheard a phone call that your mom had that you realized how serious it was. Their dad had passed.
It was a while until you saw them again. Still being a child, you weren’t sure what to do. You gave them a card with a heartfelt letter like your dad suggested, and you told them they could talk to you whenever they needed like your mom suggested, but none of it was enough.
Tyler started to pull away first. He stopped doing fun things, and stopped hanging out with friends. You talked to him here and there, but he was a child processing his grief. What were you, a child yourself, supposed to do to make it better? You didn’t know.
Taylor stuck around a little longer. You held her while she cried, and made sure she knew you were always there. You could tell she was grateful, but some things fall apart some times. Eventually, she pulled away like her brother did.
You couldn’t blame them, or yell at them, of course you couldn’t. So you let them drift away.
In high school, you saw them even less.
With less classes together, it was only natural. But every time you saw them, you still felt a pang in your chest. You missed them. You hoped they were well. You didn’t know how to reach out.
Eventually the three of you turned sixteen, and ended up in the very same history class. And would you look at that, you were put together for a semester long project (along with four other kids)!
Taylor spoke to you first. She was just as bubbly and inviting as you remembered. “We’re in the same group! Isn’t that so fun?”
The smile that bloomed on your face was almost instantaneous. You missed her.
Tyler had become a little… angrier as the years passed. Maybe angry wasn’t exactly the correct word, but he was different. The constant bickering between him and the rest of the group was definitely noticeable (though you couldn’t expect him to not bicker with Aiden).
Somehow, things got more complicated after that.
Each night, you were risking your lives with no guarantee of an escape out of this mess. You wanted to get closer to the twins again, but you didn’t think that it’d be like this.
Now, you sat in a bus seat, looking up at the rusted ceiling as your brain ran wild. You fiddled with a button on your combat suit. Exhaustion was unavoidable at this point. You felt it in every waking moment. The hours seemed to be passing by quicker than usual as your mind grew more tired as you sat. It wasn’t until you felt someone sit next to you that you blinked to focus on the world around you.
In the dark bus, red hues from the sky washed over her kind face. “Hey. Falling asleep?” She laughed softly in the quiet. You were glad Taylor still held onto her childhood joy.
“You’re not?”
She laughs again. Some of the group is outside, scouting the graveyard, the rest are inside, probably doing something more important than dozing off. “Every time I start to, Aiden starts yapping my ears off.”
You laugh too now. Aiden was a strange guy, that was for sure. “That’s what he does best.”
It’s silent for a few beats, and somehow you just know that Tyler is listening from the seat across from yours.
“I missed hanging out with you.” Taylor says after a moment. She looks down, and you wonder what was going on in her head. You saw Tyler shift in his seat. “And I wanted to talk to you sooner.” She sighs. “I didn’t think we’d start talking again because of all this.”
Neither did I.
And maybe you should be upset. After all, everything’s going all wrong at the moment. You fight for your lives every night, you have no idea how to stop all this, the tension in the group keeps growing thicker and thicker and you can’t help but wonder who’s going to snap first. But there was a positive. You got your friends back, and you were grateful. Your friendship was a little rough around the edges right now, but you’d take anything you could get.
“I’m glad I ended up in the group with you both.” You say. Your eyes flicker briefly to Tyler, who’s looking at his lap. “I don’t know what I would’ve done if I was stuck in this mess without you guys.” Was that selfish? To be glad they were here with you? You should’ve been more glad if they were safe.
Taylor’s hand finds yours. A silent comfort.
It’s silent for a moment again.
“I’m still faster than you.” Tyler says. He leans his head against the bus seat and crosses his arms.
For a second you’re shocked, then you start to laugh. His words are so ridiculous that the tension practically melts off of your shoulders. “So what? That’s all you have to say.”
“Yeah. So?”
“Tyler, stop it.” Taylor says, but she’s hiding a laugh behind her hand.
“What? I’m trying to help them out—“
“Help me out?—“
“You need to work on it. You need to be fast around here.”
“I’m doing my best!”
“You can do better.”
He’s an idiot, but you know it in your heart that he’s only teasing, and you’ve missed it. There’s so much catching up for you three to do, and so many horrible things to worry about, but this was a positive.
You still had no siblings, but you looked back on your middle school years with a warmth in your chest. The second best thing was right here.
