DJ E Feezy hosts virtual block party to raise money for girl fighting rare cancer

DJ E Feezy hosts virtual block party to raise money for girl fighting rare cancer and keeps the pace going.

A virtual block party with some of the most well-known DJs in the world raised awareness for a rare cancer. The event was inspired by a girl name Lyric Jack. Lyric had been fighting for her life after she was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer 2 and a half years ago. She had four brain surgeries and suffered from a loss of her short-term memory.

Lyric Jacks turned to music to help with her fight with cancer. The music moved her and kept her upbeat and happy during those hard and trying times. Her mother describes her as a bubbly kid who loved to do pranks. In August, unfortunately the doctors told Lyric and her family the end is near, so they relocated to Texas so she could get the best treatment.

Lyric has an impressive social media following where she has been able to tell her story and spread joy. Beyonce, Cardi B and P Diddy have all shown their support for Lyric. DJ E Feezy, a well-known hip hop DJ in Miami, was so touched by the event that he organised a virtual block party where some great DJs performed in aid of raising money for Lyric and also for children’s cancer research.

When asked why he did this and why he was so touched by the story, he said:

“Everybody has a complaint about something, and she doesn’t have one complaint in the world. It just motivated me.”

Unfortunately, on March 4th, 2021, Lyric’s parents took to Instagram to tell her followers that she had only days to live. “Just got news from DR that, Lyric is Dying and only have days to live… These are the hardest words to hear.”

Her Go Fund Me page was created in December 2020 and is currently still live. It has almost reached its goal of $200,000.

After the tragic loss, the Miami known dj kept the fight for cancer going with launching the “Lyric Chanel Foundation”. The foundation is aimed to help people struggling with cancer. Later in 2021 E Feezy once again went on to raise over $80,000 for another friend in need.  A 28 year old single mother by the name of Mounya Moon was on the verge of losing her daughter because Moon was too weak from cancer to take care of her. The Miami Dj with the help of the late Lyric Chanel sprung yet another IG fundraiser. Earning over 8,000 more followers to Mounya cause they raised over 80,000 dollars to help yet another friend in need.
